Pros: Ammo capacity, caliber, supported chamber, lifetime warranty, American made!
Cons: Spare mags and other accessories are still hard to come by

After purchasing my M&P 40c (Compact) I figured that I would like to have a full-size M&P .40SW for use at the range and possible for use in some competitive shooting. Circumstances eventually lead me to picking one up about three weeks after I had purchased the compact.

I have been just as please with the M&P 40 as I am with the 40c. I've not tried to carry it concealed but don't think it would be much trouble given it's mid-size form factor and reasonably light weight.

So far I have added a 10-8 Performance Products rear sight and a HiViz fiber optic front sight to the gun, both of which are conducive to faster sight acquisition at the firing range. I have had zero failures to feed or eject, and the gun has functioned flawlessly to date.

You can see my review of the M&P 40c here.

Pros: all-around champ, does everything well...
Cons: doesn't come with free ammo for life

i've got the 9mm... pretty much rules.
super easy to shoot accurately and quickly, super reliable, can't find much wrong with it really...

great as an EDC, as well as an range or idpa gun, pretty much the "glock with a good grip" incarnate, made right here in the USA.

Pros: Ergonomic, accurate, light
Cons: cant really find anything

This is a very nice gun. Smith and Wesson did a good job designing this one. Its accurate as hell, light, holds lots of boolets, easy to clean, I like it a lot.
