So, I've been living in TN since last August after getting out of the Navy in Virginia. I've been using my VA permit since but have gone beyond the 6 month requirement and had to go through the whole process for getting a TN permit. I've been on this board a while and have since then learned pretty much most aspects regarding the laws in TN pertaining to carrying a firearm. I'm also fairly proficient with firearms. That being said, I went into this course pretty much just to get that requirement out of the way in order to obtain a TN HCP. I wasn't expecting to learn anything new... and I didn't. Haha. The instructor was nice, however, he gave outdated info, such as not being able to carry anywhere that sells alcohol period. Which, as we know, is not true. He was also a little shaky on his firearm nomenclature as well as the law in general. A few people asked some questions and I could tell he really did not know the answer and kinda danced around the questions. In the end, I got out of it exactly what I went into it wanting, a certificate that said I had taken the course. I really only recommend it to anyone who is also familiar with the laws and firearms, otherwise, you will learn some incorrect information.

Definition of a Veteran:
A veteran - whether active duty, reserve, national guard or retired - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." - That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.
