Pros: Economical alternative to the Aimpoint Comp ML2 sight. Includes a nice mounting kit.
Cons: Slight bluish tint to the glass due to the antireflective coating

I have only had this sight on my M4 clone rifle for a week now but so far I am very satisfied with it. The design is quite similar to the Aimpoint Comp ML2 red dot sight, but it cost less than half of the average retail of the Aimpoint.

I'm not someone who will chase a nickel and if spending more means getting a significantly better product, I'll do it. But since my M4 rifle is not something that I'll be toting on patrol through war-torn Baghdad, I did not feel that I needed whatever durability advantage that the more expensive Aimpoint might have offered.

That's not to say that the SPOT sight is any less durable. I did plenty of reading over on AR15.com and those folks were raving about the SPOT sight's performance and value. Many of them are just like me when it comes to spending more to get better.

I'm happy with the purchase so far and hope that my positive experiences with the sight continue far into the future. If it starts to crap out on me, you can be sure that I'll be right back here changing my tune.
