  1. This explains it. Makes perfect sense...

  2. Honestly, I think the country will crash before we ever see it turned into a liberal's utopia. I think this topic is evidence of such a conclusion. This country is a fiscal train wreck, and it is only getting worse, and what is the current hot topic? Gay marriage. Sheesh. Hell, the only reason this topic is at the forefront is because the administration and the media are trying to divert people's attention away from how bad we are fiscally. Speaking of the younger generation (which I am still apart of), if they knew how bad they are going to be screwed, gay marriage would probably be the last thing on their mind.

  4. Don't know about On Target, but Arsenal is coming off looking like the bad guy to me. Basically Arsenal is trying to blow you off and you're buying it. You even bought that On Target hadn't contacted Arsenal when in reality, Arsenal could have been trying to blow smoke in your face (or just have really crappy record keeping) The best strategy here would have been to play the unsatisfied customer and to **ally** with On Target to get Arsenal to make your gun right. The gunshop has the most leverage to help you here but instead, it sounds like you keep poking them in the eye. Again, I've never been to On Target and they could actually be the nest of vipers you're painting them as being...I simply don't know. However, nothing you have reported seems that out of line for a gunshop...I mean they'e just a *gunshop* and I have NEVER placed a great deal of expectation in ANY gunshop I've dealt with. They're simply the middle men in most cases. But your post has convinced me that Arsenal customer service sucks--if the gun had been a Smith&Wesson or a Springfield you would have never recieved the BS email you did and the gun would have been fixed within a week.

  5. All credit card fees are passed on to the buyers (of any item) as part of the price itself. You're fooling yourself if you think otherwise. The reality is that people who pay cash (quite the minority these days) are just paying the 3% built in to the price anyway, they just don't know it. Sellers who offer a cash discount are just being honest about it.

  7. Yeah, but did he bully a kid that might turn out to be gay years later. The pansification of the nation has gone from generational to weekly. Thanks media!

  8. Let's see: Obama, in his own book, says he drifted in a daze through the last two years of high school, skipped class a lot, drank a lot, used a lot of drugs including some cocaine, and this is completely ignored by the MSM, but want to crucify Mitt for something that may or may not have even happened 50 years ago as a schoolboy. This country's mainstream media is handled like Russia's, I kid you not. - OS

  9. The country is going down the crapper and we are suppose to hate Mittens because he's portrayed as a bully. Heck, I remember a lot of kids being held down and having their head shaved. Some of them were being held down by their parents. Give me a break. You're right, those were the ole days, everyone knew a bully and got hazed so to speak in some way or another, it's called life. The difference today is the result of being politically correct and liberalism being taught in school. As a result, most of the kids today are raised as pussies.

  10. Three things I'll take out of this thread.... 1. Don't buy anything from Arsenal 2. Never walk in On Target again (sad considering I live in Murfreesboro) 3. Don't forget items 1&2

  11. Simple enough. Enforce existing laws, correctly interpret the 14th ammendment, and remove all incentives that draw people into this country illegally. To those states or cities that want to defy federal law and act as a sanctuary city, lets see how long that lasts when they are denied federal funding.

  12. Forcing one set of religious beliefs on the entire population, is real similar to forcing everyone to belong to the same church. If you recall, that's one of the main reasons we came here and stole this place from the Indians to begin with.

  15. A big yes..........In 1992 I had a major stroke and have not and will not be the man I was before. This is the reason I decided to always carry and be ready. My health problems will not be the reason I can't protect myself and my loved ones. 2 years treatment with powerful steroids to get my speech back and to be able to walk again put much weight on me. I weighed in at 360. I have lost 80 pounds now and that loss has been a big help but the thing that has surprised me is how much help finding this site has been to me, I look at things in a different manner now and have learned much from here that has given me an all around confindence boost that I had forgotten I lost. I will never be as fit as I once was but in several ways I am more ready to do what it takes to protect me and mine if things go south quick and this comes from my study of this site. Sorry for the grammer and my sometimes wondering statements I may make on all my post I still have big memory problems but I want to post more. There are so many well stated post and subjects That I often don't reply to because I don't want people to think I am scatter brained but I am reading here daily and I am thankful to the members of this site. Thanks to all the posters Danny

  16. Trying to scare someone with the sound of you pumping the action is absurd. Besides, the chances are greater the home invader will evacuate his bowels from being SHOT with the shotgun than being frightened by it.

  17. The pump action racket thing ---- you can make just as much racket with an auto. At least the traditional A5 style autos, if the bolt is open and you prod the feed ramp to shuck in a shell and slam the bolt closed, its just as loud. Why anyone would make noise and give away their position is beyond me, but you can do just as well with either type.

  19. Donate money to a bunch of bleeding heart liberals that are going to blame Americans for crimes the Mexican government created and is complicit in? I can see an oil painting of that. You guys, every dollar you give to these people whining about Fast & Furious is a dollar for gun control. They want to stop you from being able to walk into a gun shop and purchase an AK or an AR. They hope your hatred for the BATF will cause you to support them. Don’t fall for it.

  21. Met an older gentleman who had his wife's pistol and she didn't want it any more. I bought it sight unseen for $100. It was a practically new S&W model 36 with factory mother of pearl grips. It is a keeper...maybe my great grandchildren may pass it on to someone.

  22. Or is the firearms industry the only industry that allows cash buyers to receive a discount instead of charging everyone a higher amount that would cover CC fees? I dunno, just thinking aloud. I, too, get tired of "cash discount prices" but we may be looking at it from the pessimist's viewpoint.

  25. To protect all Californians I would like to suggest they all wrap themselves in bubble wrap. And because the head is the most important part of the body I would recommend a double layer wrapped really, really tight. Dolomite

  26. "Anybody that's anti-Constitution or anti-United States government, I don't do business with them," Barrett said. "I will not be doing any business with any state agency or local agency that tries to disarm the law-abiding citizen." Yep, that's his stance.

  28. Well, I try and stay out of these discussions... but, I'll point it out again... Carrying a firearm to protect yourself is the key issue here... don't discourage people from carrying just because they can't easily conceal the firearm, OC is better than NC (no carry). There are a lot of people who for whatever reason can't easily conceal... I'm one of those people, my business dress does not lend itself to concealed carry of my Glock 19 even more so during summer months. I'm wearing slacks and a dress shirt tucked in... it's the middle of the day and I need to run into the gas station to pick up something... I'm better off leaving my pistol in the vehicle than on my person just because it's not concealed? Hogwosh More importantly, what does it matter? It doesn't hurt me if somebody carries concealed, nor does it hurt me if somebody carries openly... At the end of the day they're a law abiding citizen who is old enough to know better. It's not my place to judge them on what works best for their personal safety.
