  1. “Zero tolerance†policies are for people that don’t want to do their job (Teachers, Administrators, etc.) or it is used to force others to enforce their beliefs (taking discretion away from cops).

  2. Reading the article it sounds like they didn't blow off the Catholic church, they told one specific Cardinal "Thank you, but we've already made arrangements to have another high ranking Catholic official do this for us." I really don't see what the big deal is.

  3. I wouldn't care one bit if they allowed Islamic prayers provided they hadn't shot down the Catholic one. Favoritism is plain bad anyway you slice it. I'd be upset if they only allowed Christian prayer or Jewish prayer as well, if your going to go ahead and walk over the separation of church and state, at least let everyone march in the parade.

  5. Folks, if you want to oppose the "compromise" on Rule 15, oppose the changes to Rule 12, and support the full Minority Reports on the Rules, you must call before 2pm EST today! http://www.freedomwo...mmittee-members As you may be aware, the RNC and the Romney campaign are pushing a massive change to Republican Party rules which will, in part, allow the Presidential nominee to choose delegates and allow the RNC to change rules relating to the party platform and delegate selection whenever they like. Please call your state's Rules Committee delegates here and ask that they oppose the "compromise" on Rule 15, oppose Rule 12, and support the full Minority Reports on the Rules. Call the Rules Committee delegates now. Rule 12 is a threat to all grassroots activists. If this rule goes through, all the hard work you’ve done at the county level, congressional district level, and state level will be nullified by a few Party Elites at their discretion alone. No longer will the grassroots choose who represents them. Morton Blackwell and his Virginia delegation are leading the charge to fight this power grab. We need you, especially if you are a delegate in Tampa, to call the Rules Committee to stop this takeover of the party. The top men at the RNC and Team Romney are not going to give up their effort to centralize the delegate process and turn our bottom-up efforts upside down. It is up to you, the grassroots, to stop them. Do not let all the hard work we’ve done since 2009 go to waste. Stand up for our democracy right now. In Liberty,

  6. The Republican and Democratic Parties had beginnings. Perhaps another can also. The GOP will never again become more conservative than it is right now, and most of its platform that even suggests so is lip service only. - OS

  11. +1, this thing about risking the country's wellbeing because of a principle of a few people is retarded. Basically what is happening is a group of few is convinced their ideals are the only thing that is correct and proper in this world, and while they say that it is all about freedom of choice and belief, if you do not align with their ideas, then you are wrong and you should be ashamed of having an opinion.

  15. Another tip for sellers: If you're selling a used gun for more than a new one online + transfer, you're probably not going to get very far. If you bought from a LGS and paid more than the new price at say, Bud's, it just means you may be eating that difference just to be in the ball park. Then you have to discount it on top of that to make a buyer want a used one from you instead of a new one from the online source. If you chose to pay a premium for the service you get at your LGS, that's great. someone helped with the purchase and that adds value to you. However, a second hand buyer isn't getting any more service from you than they are from Bud's or GlockWorld or CDNN or..... Example: A G19 from many online sellers is $499 + TICS + Transfer = $524 out the door. LNIB G19 @ $550 sells slowly if ever LNIB G19 @ $500 sells LNIB G19 @ $450 sells fast In other words "I got this new at Larry's House of Boomsticks last month and just want to get out of it what I've got in it" usually doesn't work. You're of course welcome to list your item for any price you want, but don't be surprised when there's no activity on a $575 G19 with some scratches and "slight holster wear". YMMV

  17. It's the Republican party and the party's rules...they can change them when the see fit to change them. Perhaps I misunderstand but doesn't this all stem back to states where the electorate voted for Romney but certain delegates (i.e. Paulbots) don't want to nominate Romney and, therefore, are willing to, or at least say they are wiling to ignore how the electorate voted?

  24. The things I like best about Glocks: 1) simple design 2) ability to change the grip to suit most shooters 3) lots of aftermarket. The Glocks pictured have various things done to the grips/frames from taking material off the backstrap, cutting finger grooves into the trigger guard, removing material from the top of the trigger guard and of course radiusing the area where the second knuckle hits the frame. One is a 17 cut down. Two have metal triggers. See any finger humps - they are all Gen 3. Glocks aren't play purties to show off at the bar b que. The're tools that can be altered from their stock state to really fit the user.

  27. Raise your weak hand in praise and worship to the God of your understanding; Keep your strong hand tucked close to your hip. No god worth serving passes out freebies to strong capable people. It's my personal belief that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob favors those who ask not for a detailed list of everything they need, but instead ask for the strength, wisdom and ability to do it themselves. I'm lost on the idea of asking God for EVERYTHING. What good is a heaven full of people he has to support? No. Any god worth serving takes pride in a follower who is empowered by the wisdom of the spirit and can take care of simple tasks without getting on his nerves like a spoiled child. Absolutely arm yourselves in your place of worship. There is a time for peace and a time for war. When a person decides to attack you and your loved ons in said place of worship.....it is time for war. The tunnel visioned bible belt Christians are deluded and hung up on passive attitudes. God understands war. God understands the difference in murdering another for personal gain or cold blood and causing a threat to your women and children to rapidly reach room temperature. God is no coward, and he is not weak. Why would you want to be any different? Vengeance is his true, but it's on YOU to stand and deliver when the lives of your loved ones are in peril.

  29. No, the state should leave church's alone... much more so than they leave businesses alone... I'm surprised nobody has tried to raise a 1st Amendment case against these anti-carry church laws. I can't imagine the laws surviving any serious court challenge.

  30. It should be up to the congregation or religion/organization to decide what is allowed in their "church" (insert specific term as applies for "church"). The state should treat a "church" the same as any other business in most regards and leave it at that.

  31. Its not that they piss me off.....it just makes me shake my head. I'm all for supporting local shops but there has to be some sort of compromise. If I can get them for $14.20 all day long on the internet, then why should I pay $26? They would sell far more, make more money, and keep local people coming back if they had them for say $16-17ish. A quick nickel is better than a slow dime.....especially when you need to keep the lights on.
