  1. I don't know if DHS is buying no-hesitation targets, and frankly, neither do you. And even if they are, that is not evidence that a government takeover is in the works. The use of no-hestation targets is not new in law enforcement, but has been going on for decades. Yet somehow it's suddenly sinister because Obama is in the White House and Alex Jone suggests that is all the proof we need. Perhaps this will be a shock to some people, but it's not only young black men and people of Middle Eastern descent who shoot and kill cops. What I am saying here is that this is the typical attempt to stir up controversy where none appears to exist. My problem is not with the information, but how the Alex Jones crew frames it, which is facts without actual context and the hint that the Obama/DHS/FEMA cabal is preparing to commit revolution and genocide against American citizens. This gives people who the opportunity to fill in the blanks themselves with whatever interpretation fits their own individual views, hence why I said if you are only looking for one possibility, you are sure to find it. Let's think through this a little more. There seems to be a suggestion that use of these target will render law enforcement officials robots who will kill people without hesitation or regret. That is simply absurd. Further, at the same time while people are jumping up and down about arming teachers, school administrators, and placing armed officers in schools to shoot potentially murderous young people, people are lamenting and gnashing their teeth about targets with a kid holding a gun. I strongly - no very strongly - believe that this wouldn't have even been a story if people on the targets had been black, Middle Eastern, or Hispanic/Latino. If there is a story here, the Alex Jones crew certainly didn't provide information to justify it. Rather, they provide just enough information to give people who are predisposed to think the absolute worst of their government the opportunity to make a leap of logic that seems to make sense without any real evidence to back it up. The people who buy into the right wing propaganda and conspiracy machine without even a slight bit of hesitation or reflexive thought are sheep just like the kool-aid drinkers and Obama zombies on the left. Being a sheep doesn't apply to any specific political ideology. As for me, I will file this little tidbit of information in my mind for future days should some solid set of circumstances come to light that puts this target story into some sort of legitimate context that justifies heightened concern. I am quite aware of the concept of incrementalism, but a set of random events does not serve as proof a conspiracy is afoot. Instead of putting forward rational arguments and evidence-based policy proposals, too many on the right are wasting time on creating elaborate fairly tales. While people are in panic mode chasing down non-existent conspiracies, they are taking their eye off the ball. Besides wasting energy and resources, these stories feed into the left's narrative of the right as irrational and dangerous, which discredits Obama's opponents in general. This is exactly why the left has been able to maintain power. I am not a "comrade." I am a free-thinking individual who doesn't blindly trust media of any sort, especially sources run by ideologues like Alex Jones, Glenn Beck, Piers Morgan, or Keith Olbermann. I guess there is something morally superior about being shot and killed by pregnant women and young people with guns. Perhaps these targets are less troubling and will make people feel better:

  5. It's ridiculous how busy this man is. He never gets a break. As such, he may miss this post. I can tell you that he USUALLY does not ship. Not that he can't but it's hard for him to tie himself up shipping small orders when there are large volume consumers out for his time too. I should say too, David is a super guy. He busts his butt to get us what we need. I know there are some people who don't, can't or won't cut the guy any slack and they bust his balls on a regular basis. To those people I say screw you!

  6. We have this young lady that works for us whose husband is deployed in Afghanistan. A couple of months before Christmas she let us know that she was putting together a couple of boxes of supplies for her husbands unit for Christmas. She gave everybody a list of common items they needed and asked us to donate if we were able. It was everyday stuff we take for granted like: batteries, magazines, energy bars, jerky, playing cards, juice boxes, gum, games etc... Most of the employees donated. My father, brother and I went to Costco and got a bunch of stuff. She was really surprised at the amount of items everybody in company collected. It took a few more boxes than she expected but she got everything shipped over to husbands unit. Her husband let us know how appreciative the unit was after they received the boxes. Well today at our company lunch she presented us with this flag and certificate her husbands unit sent us. I am going to get it framed and hang it in the office.

  9. Common decency to anyone its if you have a restroom and someone is in need, you let then use it. Period. To demand a purchase is petty in my mind and in my opinion. You definitely don't GAIN customers on that fashion.

In order to participate in this program, go to: http://store.magpul.com/member_register. - Create your login account and click the “Register” button to submit. - Once you receive a Membership Confirmation e-mail from orders@magpul.com forward it (FW: ) along with your name and unit or agency affiliation to bhickman@magpul.com. Please respond using an official .mil or agency e-mail address, or provide other official identification to verify Military or LE status. - If you already have a login account at Magpul.com, please just send an e-mail to Bhickman@magpul from a govt/ military email service. Once we verify your status (this process can take up to a few days) you will be added to an authorized MIL/LE group, which will allow a one-time purchase from a limited access section of our website. You will then receive a notification e-mail stating that you have been added to this group, and instructions for placing your order will be included.

  17. Sorry for the confusion folks but I came up with another idea that I think maybe is more in tune with what's going on in the political space right now and represents our desire to see the Second Amendment not infringed upon. We're doing this to continue raising money for TGO's operating expenses which, since December of last year, have gone out the ceiling due to the three upgrades we've had to make to our web servers to keep up with traffic. If you have ordered some of the TGO icon decals you know that those are top quality laminated vinyl meant to survive all-weather conditions. These will be made by the same folks in the same way and will be a great way to show your support of the Second Amendment on your car, truck, toolbox, gun safe, laptop, cat, dog, whatever. Which of these do you prefer the most? Option 'A' - Keep Calm And Carry On ...or... Option 'B' - Shall Not Be Infringed I can see eventually producing both but one of these will get produced first. Specifics would be as follows: Full color print process Laminated, all-weather vinyl Peel n' stick application 4.00 x 6.00 inches @ $4.50 each 2.25 x 3.50 inches @ $3.50 each I will be adding a page to the TGO Store soon. Just wanted to go ahead and get this out there and let you all know about them. I'm working on T-Shirts as well with this on the back and the TGO logo on the front. Those are going to take a little more time, though.

Couple of pictures from windrock in august '12 Here's a close up of my rock sliders. For anyone interested I know a good fab guy in knoxville who can make just about anything I gave him a picture and we came up with a couple of changes and here's the final product.

  20. And yet we want to cut our military... eh... I don't think so...   This is the unfortunate result of the world becoming reliant on electronics and computerization. A 15-year-old nerd in a basement could cause quite a bit of damage. Imagine a million Chinese or 100,000 Russians doing the same thing... sheesh. We'll see what happens, I guess.

  22. Where'd you get that spring kit? I picked this one up at a show last year for three bills. The wood isn't deluxe grade Winchester by any stretch, but the finish looks o.k. to me. If I had a gripe with it, I guess I would say the bb gun sights could use some improvement.

  23. The Marlins are great; just get one without a safety. Browning makes a very nice copy of a model 92 Winchester. Winchester also makes a 92, as well as a 94 chambered for 357. The are fine as well. For the money, I really like my Rossi 92 in 357.

  32. I have seen folks looking for things that are from out of state on some of the other boards. I knew David normally carried the certain items in question and was curious if it was possible to ship items to them. More profit for David and in the interest of boosting sales for him, I was curious as to whether he ships to out of state customers or not. David is a good guy to deal with. I am trying to help him and his business out. :)

  34. personally I am careful about screwing with war relics.  I have had several Mosin's.  The worst looking of the lot is my current one and I would never change much of anything on it.  I did use steel wool on the stock and used some Arrow Wood Finish on it.  I just basically knocked the burrs off of the piece of railroad tie the stock was fashioned from and sealed the wood. Still looks rough as a cob.  I don't think the mag well cover matches the other numbers.  So basically it is a POS Russian rifle.   But it is a war relic and I ain't messing with it.  Hopefully it killed some Nazi's and Russian's both.  (Godless rats they both are)

  35. I would never modify any of my milsurps, but that's just me. I think if you can buy a R700 for $425 otd somewhere, put some $200 glass on it, you will have a more reliable, and more accurate rifle. That's just my opinion, and I know many people can't afford to put much money in a rifle and this is the attraction to the Mosins.

He carried it all through his adult life, and when he got sick and he and Mom moved into an independent living complex, he gave it to me. I'll hand it down to my son one day. I've never shot it, and would like to find some replacement grips. You can see that the right side has a piece missing. Just wanted to show it to you. 43.   Well, despite the obvious comedic value, we really shouldn't under estimate them.... after all, it only took a few guys with box cutters and a copy of microsoft flight sim to cause one of our worst national tragedies.   They're obviously trying to invoke a reaction from us, but to what purpose? They can't honestly think they can take us by sheer force of action. There's got to be something more devious here.
