  1. The man does not need to spread misinformation on here. We've got that covered in spades. ;)

  2. I don't know how to adequately describe this to you Dave, I have tried, I really have.  Not enough people are pledging money to legislators for re-election to override the purchase power of Leadership on the issue.  The Chamber of Commerce does not want this, and as they give more money to legislators than all other groups (and realize if you can, that Big Business funds them) what the Chamber wants, the Chamber gets. Dennis never intended for this so called bill to be debated on the floor, it has no co-sponsors, not one, there are no co-sponsors in the Senate, none.  If any of the representatives were for it, they would be Prime co-sponsors It is simply a game he is running to try and save his political hide.  Want to do something to futher the cause of firearms rights in TN, help beat that phony this year.   Money and time is all it takes. You wirte a check to the TFA PAC for $32 mil, I wll start giving you results, because then I can register as a lobbyist and start passing out $20,000.00 per cycle instead of the $250.00 we can afford at the present.  But By God we are at least inthe fight, and in the know of what the facts are.  I told you above what we have to do to get some results, beat the Establishment guys in the hinter regions.  If we get Dennis and Rich this year, it will send shock waves, just like getting Maggart did.  the NRA put up $75K for that one, but it was foot leather that mad eht difference.  Did you Dave, go to the 45th District a single time and walk the streets and knock on doors?  I did for two months, I also put up my personal money, giving the maximum I could to Rogers campaign in both cycles because I felt it that important. The only real firearms Rights advocate that we had in the House was Judd Matheney, he put his political head on the block two years back and there was no support for him, Harwell took his Speaker Pro Tempore position and gave it to another of her lackeys.  He is now an also ran, with no power.   Now, as far as "bouncing" something about money off of John Harris, you are talking about things you have absolutely no knowledge of.  As a representative of the TFA as you call it, I get as a benefit, to spend endless hours in my personal vehicle, burning my own gas to travel all over to speak to people, grassroots groups etc. who wish to learn the facts of legislation and what we need to do to get over the obstacles of the Establishment who seek simply to gain power and exert control, (that or the time I spend at the legislature, where I take my vacation to spend my gas to drive from Jackson to Nashville).  It is what the politicians sell, access to the plebeians and venues to exert power to the powerful.   You start throwing insinuations about money about, get ready to put some facts up, because it cost me plenty out of my pocket to do the things I do for the effort, believe you me, those boys in Nashville keep a close eye on me, they would love to shut me up, do they even know who you are?

  3. I have just created TDRCoins. The first batch of one-million coins are worth .50 each. They will undoubtedly be worth 1000% more within no time, so you better act now. The TDRCoin is 100% untraceable, so you can confidently buy and sell using your TDRCoins without the .gov knowing your business.  In order to unlock more TDRCoins, I will post my daughter's Algebra homework online for all to solve. The first person to respond with the correct answers will receive an undetermined number of TDRCoins.  To purchase your TDRCoins today, PM me for my PayPal information.

  4. I think we need to propose a compromise solution for the guns in parks bill.  The licensed carriers get to carry in all parks, but the illegal carriers are still banned.   Seriously, how many of the misinformed fence-sitters in the General Assembly might actually vote for it if we presented the option that local governments still get to post signs that specify, "unpermitted carry of weapons prohibited" or "illegal possession of weapons prohibited"?

  7. Locking this down.   Ok guys. I let one LE bashing thread slide a week ago and now the flood gates open again. This is the third one in a day that   It appears the OPs sole intent is to show LE in a bad light which I will not allow. Head on over to copblock.org and post it there.   Second, it doesn't involve Tennessee or at least have a tangential connection to the firearms community. It is nothing more than a "hey look at this bad cop" post.

  8.   It will play out in dribs and drabs, one charge at at time most likely found because of investigations and arrests for unrelated issues. It will play out over time as kids and grandkids are "re-educated" enough to turn in those illegal terrible firearms found in their inherited attics.   But it won't play out as some kind of modern day Battle of New London or anything.   - OS

  10. So I went to the range today and ran my AR15 after the changes I'd made. I also had a buddies AR after helping him install a free float. So I was switching between the two using two mags. I fired all the rounds loaded, packed up and headed home. I cleaned my friends gun prior to return and was casing up mine. Of course being the kid I am, I couldn't resist the urge to turn the Red Dot on and do some target acquisition. I was about yo flip the safety and dry fire, then I stopped. Said "wait, check this gun" No mag, check. Rack the bolt.....shit. Out pops a round right onto the hood of my wife's SUV. NEVER FORGET TO CHECK YOUR GUNS ARE CLEAR!!! Saved me from sending a wolf FMJ through my steel basement door and most likely into my truck radiator parked outside....and that's a best case scenario. Sent from my iPad using Voodoo magic

  13. Beer delivery by drone could have the potential to save so many lives.  Think about those guys that have been drinking all afternoon and run out of beer.  If they could get a drone to deliver more then they wouldn't have to make an intoxicated beer run.  We need to do this for the children.

  15. Welcome to TGO, soon to be damn yankee (can't be a damn yankee until you move down here and don't leave).   Sounds like you got a good head on your shoulders getting out of there and all.  The only thing we ask of you is to leave the yankee ways behind and remember that's why you left there.    You should enjoy it here.       "Send me to hell or new york city, it'd be about the same to me" - Bocephus

Its the overbearing, narcissistic notion that they are, in fact, the smartest people in the room; and that us serfs should just recognize it and bow down... They cant afford to abandon the narrative... Their self-worth will be destroyed... The good news is that they are takin a pretty good whoopin now...   leroy

  21. Not to flame the OP, but that entire article is a crock. Mr. Halbig doesn't come across as any kind of expert, period. Many of his statements above are factually incorrect. He comes across like the kind of nut job who feels he is entitled to any little bit of information he wants, when he wants it. I just hope he hasn't been harassing the families with this crap for the last year. What does anyone really think the alternative to what we've heard is? Who went in there and killed those babies and why. Lets not beat around the bush here, who did it if the sick little shit didn't? The libs? Which ones? Why? You really think that's the best thing they could come up with to further their movement? I'm not a lib, but I'm offended for every one of them. Maybe it was (ominous music) the government? Again, who's feet specifically would you lay this on? If you think some team of government agents did this your crazy. If you think it was a team if contractors who did this, your crazy. It was a sick, twisted young man who did this. I don't think there will ever be any evidence to the contrary because I don't think there is any. And not because "the man" or whoever did such a great job covering their tracks either.

Soon as the weather breaks I'm gonna start preparing for the Sanctioned Matchs I plan to shoot this season so this could be the only time I get to break away from the Glock unless I switch to a 2011.

  32. I thought about that once, then I thought about all the work, the money on the stock, scope, bolt, ect. Instead of all that I should just buy a new Remington 700 in .308 or 30-06 and scope. Better rifle and better shooter.

  35. that's over 40 ft of drop with the published muzzle velocity.  Im not sure what the velocity would be out of that pistol barrel, but i am assuming there is a noticeable drop in velocity and therefore a noticeable increase in bullet drop.  so somewhere between a 41 ft and a 47 ft hold over with a lot of luck with the wind.  Heck of a shot.

  38. A conspiracy of this magnitude would be nearly impossible to pull off.  I believe in healthy skepticism but not when it goes so far as to ignore facts that disprove the hoax theory.  Bottom line is this was a very tragic mass killing by a mentally unstable Lanza.

I used the peppermint after my shower and my beard doesn't feel dried out like it did, and it brushed down much smoother and easier. The smell is pleasant without being overpowering even sitting around right after application. I give it a 10. Tapatalk ate my spelling

  40.   I live in Bristol - so the "state just north of us" is literally only 300 yards from my house.  And you are correct about the legality of non-concealed carry there.  I made this same argument to our mayor during the uproar over TN's restaurant carry law in 2009 - we were standing on the TN side of State Street, and I pointed to an alcohol-serving restaurant across the street in VA and asked him just what it was about TN citizens that made us unable to live incident-free under the same rules that those less than 30 yards from us could?
