Phone call to Corp offices and was given a Reference # and was told that this situation is being emailed (per my request) to the regional, district, and loss prevention managers and I will receive a call from some one in a day or two to let me know what they find out. So we will see what happens.

I was killing time this morning so I decided to go in for my dose of dissapointment of not getting 22. I went back to the gun counter and a saw 50rd boxes of 22, 2 box limit but hey 100 rd for $5otd. I asked the guy at the counter if that was all the 22lr they got in, He said "yeah we haven't seen bulk 22 for a while". I took my 100rd and started looking at some guns and 2 guys walked up and started chatting up the guy behind the counte like they were old friends. I didn't think anything of it until I heard one of the guys asked "do you have it back there" they were wispering as to hide what was going on. Then the guy behind the puts up a Bucket o Bullets and a box of 1000rd box of M-22. I heard the tal on make a comment on how much these get online and the all got a laugh from that. I got pretty pissed right then and there so I snapped a pic of the guys he was talking to(see below)The tall one in Green and the girl in the . he handed them over the counter they walked up front. I went and found the manager and told her what happened and she seemed pretty upset about it and immediately went back to the gun area. I don't know if she actually talked to them or if anything will come of it but I think I might stop spending money there for a while. It is 4 hours later and I am still pissed. I will say I don't know if they came in before me and it was being held behind the counter for them but I suspect if he was lying to my face that was probably not on the up and upI am sorry if these guys are members here but this is more of a bad mark for Academy. I blurred the face of the guy that had nothing to do with this.

Following our group buy last year, a lot of people have asked if Cross Machine Tool has any plans to manufacture .308 receivers. I'm thrilled to get to announce this to you guys, but they're right around the corner, and they look every bit as good as their AR-15 pattern receivers. So the other day I had a co-worker of mine walk by and see me looking at some 9mm ammo online. Then he stated that I should get a .40 because that's the best. He started rambling about this and that..blah... blah. Then he said that it's the best because the local Police use it. He said, " The PD uses .40 because it can shoot through an engine block and stop a car and a 9mm can't do that." And I had to just keep my mouth shut on at that point. Any further conversation would be useless! I don't dislike .40, just thought the whole engine block thing was hilarious!

I'd rather have a fellow argue caliber than argue gun control.

I am sure I have had something or other lost by the USPS at one time or another but nothing stands out.   what does stand out are two instances of excellent service.   About fifteen years ago I mailed a package to Chicago from Boca Raton.  Just regular mail,  it arrived the next day.   And last year my 90 year old alzheimer's Dad mailed a birthday card to me.   I wish I still had the envelope to post a pic of it.  It was addressed to Mr. Mike ( no last name at all) my address only had part of the street name,  my town was there but no zip code.    Some how it found its way into my mailbox.   There had to be several postal employees who went above and beyond to get it to me.  He did have a return addy sticker so the easy way out for a handler would have been to return it. But no, somehow it made it from Cincinnati to my house.  All I could figure was someone at the Corryton PO figured out the street name and my letter carrier must have recognized a Cincy return address from previous mail Dad had sent me and knew it was mine.   The old man died back in September, it is the last piece of mail he will send me.  Wish I had the envelope but I still have the card.   The USPS gets a thumbs up from me.

I got one that is now a SBR. It's incredibly fun to shoot but definitely jumpy. I run CNC Warriors 4pc brake which really helped with the blast but adds some length.

This X1000 Medical marijuana wasn't always so easy. People went to jail/prison for what they were doing. The difference between now and then has a bit to do with the administration not choosing to enforce federal law, it's got more to do IMO with the millions of people who "kept calm and smoked on" if you will. We CAN put the power back in the states hands, but it might mean being ok with criminal status and all the fun prizes that go with that. A price most are (reasonably so) unwilling to pay. It also means that more states have to pass similar laws and the people of those states must also be comfortable with being criminals. You can't just pass a state law that defies federal law and expect it to just protect you. You have to work at it and exercise that law every chance you get. And if course, someone has to be first, both on an individual level and a state wide level. Long story short, you want the Tn firearms freedom act to actually mean something in 10 years, start getting arrested today. Of course, IANAL, this is nothing even close to legal advice, I do NOT recommend violation of any state or federal laws. Even the stupid ones.

I'd love to hope we will at some point, but I know that CMT is going to have a lot of demand keeping them busy as soon as these launch.   I know that no one has unlimited funds - I sure don't.  But, I would tell our members not to wait on a group buy if you're interested in one of these.  They're going to be offered at a great price point.  Support one of our vendors and keep some of your gun money in Tennesse!

Sort of. In old (French or Spanish, I can't recall) decks, they commonly added names to the 4 kings. Those listed above were the most commonly used, but not the only ones. IIRC, it varied by deck manufacturer and they stopped doing it a few hundred years ago. There are also other names and symbols for the 4 suits that have fallen out of use for the ones we use today. Batons = Clubs, Swords = Spades, Coins = Diamonds, Cups = Hearts.       ETA: Holy crap, I have some useless knowledge.

There was a guy at the gun store practicing his draw and shoot from the hip western style today with a .40 he was considering.  Makes you really nervous seeing that.

I still cannot understand the apparent opinion among lawmakers, etc. that I - as a person who can legally carry as many fully loaded firearms on my person as I have places to put them and can legally do so in most public places - would be transformed into a bloodthirsty maniac by the presence of a single >4 inch blade stuck in among all those firearms.  The length limit needs to be dropped, completely, but HCP holders should have been immune from those restrictions all along.     It is sad to think that we saw more significant, positive changes to weapon and self defense laws with Naifeh as Speaker of the House and a New Jersey Democrat (Bredesen) in the Governor's office than we have seen since Republicans gained the House and the Governorship (official adoption of 'no duty to retreat' and other 'Castle Doctrine' based laws, carry where alcohol is served and so on.)  In every election, from local to national, we hear the old mantra, "You'd better vote Republican if you want your self defense and gun rights protected and advanced." Seems like this is simply a good case in point to show that is just more political BS.

  I liked it, too, and agree with many of your points.  I do have to say that I wasn't at all surprised at the 'reveal' of Daryl's past.  In fact, based on things he has said in past seasons, I would have been surprised if it had been any different and really didn't get all the trying to guess what he did, before, that other members of the group were doing.   As far as the crying scene, as I said in a discussion on another forum, it isn't like Daryl broke down bawling then went and ate a pint of Ben and Jerry's.  Like the tears he shed when he had to stab Walker Merle in the face, I saw them more as tears of rage and frustration rather than tears of fear or sadness - very much in character for Daryl.  Further, with his own dad being an abusive piece of crap, Herschel by contrast was still trying to be a good father even after the world went to hell.  In a way, Daryl lost a positive father figure when he died just like Beth and Maggie lost their father in truth.  Daryl's own, blood kin are all dead and he had to put down his brother not too long ago.  Now he has lost his surrogate family - people who, for the first time in his life, saw him as having some real worth as a human being and because of whom he could feel a sense of self-worth (like when the one kid came and thanked him for bringing the deer for them to eat, calling him 'Mr. Dixon') to the same sick, psycho bastard who killed his brother.  You also have to consider that, while Beth had been sipping at the moonshine, Daryl was slugging it back so he was probably drunk by that point.  For those reasons, the crying didn't bother me, at all.  Deciding that both of them should get wasted in a wide open, falling down remnant of a house with walkers nearby on the other hand was not something I think Daryl would do.  Not keeping some of the moonshine for possible, future use (as an antiseptic, etc. if nothing else) rather than using it all to start the fire was also not a very good decision, IMO.   I also saw some correlation between Daryl's emotional reactions and those shown by Michonne in the previous couple of episodes.  After losing her family, Michonne more or less shut down, started leading a couple of walkers (her dead boyfriend and his best friend) around on a leash and more or less just wandering from one place to the next.  When first leaving the prison, she fell back into that pattern but rejected it when she slaughtered the walker group she was wandering with, including her two new 'pet' walkers.  Much the same, when they realized that Sophia was dead, Daryl shut down.  He removed himself from the group (he set up a little camp on the farm off to himself) and coped by lashing out at Carol, Dale and anyone else that tried to comfort him or talk to him.  He never shed a tear for Sophia any more than when Merle was lost from the rooftop.  When they first had to flee the prison, Daryl seems to have tried falling back into that pattern.  He wouldn't grieve, seemed to be operating on automatic pilot and at first lashed out when Beth tried to talk to him but then he rejected that pattern when he shed those few tears and let Beth know that he felt like he failed by not being able to save everyone, stop the governor and protect their home.  His tears weren't a sign of weakness or even 'getting in touch with his feelings', IMO.  Instead, they were Daryl deciding not to give up on living no matter how much it hurt.

I wouldn't know if walmart had .22 stacked to the ceiling as I haven't been in the local store since last year.  If they want to allow a few professional buyers take it all, there is no reason for me to go there.  When I'm traveling across the state I may check the stores in every few weeks but I don't waste time going to the local walmart.

My dad retired from the USPS in 2008 after carrying mail for 26 years, no doubt there are some bad seeds out there, but not all of them are.  Rural carriers are probably the worst of the bunch because they are contracted labor that gets no benefits or retirement.  These guys are just your run of the mill $10 per hour employees that we deal with everywhere else.  Even though I come from a postal family I still have a horror story...   Last summer I bought a new camera from Amazon, this was a professional level camera valued around $5,000.  I was waiting on a check and didn't have the funds at hand to make the purchase, dear old dad spotted me the money until I received a check for a job that I had done, so he just paid for it through his Amazon account to make things easier and the next week I sent him the check that I owed him.  A couple of days later dad calls me and says "Why did you send me a piece of notebook paper?"  Well, the envelope made it, the piece of paper that I wrapped the check up in made it, the check did not.  So I get that issue taken care of but in the meantime I get the camera.  I had to go out so I put a 8 1/2x11" piece of printer paper on the door that read in large print "USPS, please leave package next door at 555."  I then went next door t 555 to tell them to ask him to accept and sign for the package for me.  His driveway is a few hundred yards from mine, as we are standing in the street talking the mail carrier comes and brings his mail, I then ask if she has a package for me and she tells me that she had knocked on the door and didn't get an answer.  I asked her if she had seen the large note on the front door and she said she had not.  All lies, since I had watched her blast past my house without so much as slowing down.     And while I'm on my soapbox...  My mail carrier also drives a very unsafe speed down my road, really pisses me off since everyone on this road has small children, and being a dead end the kids play in and around the road a lot.  I've also seen my carrier driving through the edge of my yard, which leaves ruts, really makes me mad.

  As far as making unlawful behavior lawful simply because it is selectively or rarely enforced -- I don't know of any famous precedent myself. Perhaps prohibition is sort of in that realm, where you basically had such widespread non compliance with the law, but it still took an amendment to change it back.   Perhaps you could punish those who don't enforce it would be about it, but that would I suppose take impeachment on federal level.   - OS
