I work for a cell phone company and one of the demo phones got stolen. Any other time, I would have been deeply upset. Hell, I might even try to beat the bastard. But allas, today was the perfect day. A group of people came in while we where busy and after a while left in a hurry. While security cameras help, this next bit threw me in a frenzied laugh. One of the suspects left "selfies" on two separate phones. And They where good too. Got all his tattoos and facial features without an issue. Even the metro officer shock his head at this. I cant wait for this guy to be caught. BTW, even tho this sucks and is a terrible incident, Im awed at the sheer idiocy demonstrated by the perpetrators. They even left a coffee mug.7 points

I support a large number of stores for a wireless provider. The sheer volume of fraud is unbelievable right now. We see on average 2-5 cases of fraud each day! They are getting smarter, but rarely get to complete their transactions now that we have figured out their game. Sad part is it begins with identity theft, and ends with them rarely if ever getting arrested. If they put the amount of their efforts to defraud someone or a company into actual work, they likely would do ok for themselves.3 points

Super soaker, gasoline, lighter, and a 4in long metal pipe to go on the end of the nozzle to keep the flames from melting the plastic. LOTS of fun. May have gotten me in trouble in my childhood, but nothing like a home made flame thrower. A husky contractors bag should do the trick as well. Final option, go a safe distance, and chuck something at it. If you have the balls, you could try to reason with them and offer a better location. There might be some legal fees involved a quite a few angry wasps, but it would be the most humane and thoughtful way of doing it. In fact, you might be able to work an agreement with them for protection. Think about it, most people have a strange innate fear of insects. And then give one wings a self lubricating, non detachable, multi use stinger and BAM!!!! Flying terror.3 points

I just went out and tried to pick the garden, okra mostly, because I have a bunch of it and if you don't pick okra approximately every two hours it gets about a foot long. So I'm wearing a long sleeve tshirt because if I don't I return from the okra fields looking like I've been rolling around in concertina wire. I started picking okra, and what I thought were crows with fangs, but turned out to be mosquitoes, started attacking me. I didn't know humans could loose that much blood so quickly and survive. I came in and sprayed my legs in Skin So Soft, I've never seen a mosquito anywhere around me while wearing SSS, because not even mosquitoes can stand the smell of it, but that only slowed them down a little bit. After getting the okra picked I came back inside and rehydrated and replenished my blood supply with Natural Light. Currently I'm hiding inside with the AC and a ceiling fan but soon I will have to venture back outside because a little while ago I shoved a can of beer up a chickens butt and that's on the grill now.2 points

First real heat I've seen this summer. As cold as last winter was, this summer has been awesome weather-wise. I remember stepping outside about dawn on July 4 and could see my breath it was so chilly. I don't mind the heat now because it's going to start cooling off for good in a few weeks.2 points

I'm on the Gulf side of Flordia right now, gutting and restoring a house. Plumbing, electrical, sheet rock, floors, etc. It was 101 here today with high humidity and a heat index of 115. I am ready for winter2 points

Even the desert isn't this bad. I'll take 110 degrees and 15% RH over 95 and 80+ %. I just step outside and start pouring sweat. BTW, I'm not one of those people that whines about cold weather too. Bring it on!2 points

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that to be 100% legal when selling someone a firearm in TN, you need to do two things: #1 - Ask the buyer if they are legally allowed to own a firearm in the state of Tennessee and/or if they are a convicted felon #2 - Ask them if they are a resident of Tennessee Legally, you do not have to actually see their DL or HCP, just ask them if they are a resident of TN.....but just to cya, it's a good idea to ask to see their DL or HCP anyway. Anything else, like a bill of sale, is up to you. Personally, if the gun I'm selling is one that I picked up privately and did not have to sign a bill of sale for, then I will not require a bill of sale when I sell it. If it's a gun that I bought new from a dealer or one that I had to sign a bill of sale for, then I will require a bill of sale when I sell it.2 points

I have had the TGO lower sitting in the safe look at me every time I open the safe. I was at the show this weekend and found a builder there that built me a pistol upper for $275 otd. So I figured it was time to use the lower. I headed to another vendor that had complete blemished pistol tube and buffer for $20. I did not pick up a LPK because I figured I could find one for the same price at a LGS. I was running out of time so I passed on that and went home. I had some free time so I went to my new favorite shop and picked up a RRA LPK. I got home and was a little tenitive to start on it because I had 4 kids to take care of and I usually only have 15ish mins before the Screams of daddy start. This was my first ever lower assembly, I figured it would take me longer my first time. I started by following a write up on how to assembly it, before I knew it I was done! I did learn 2 things: 1 take off rings before starting. 2. ARs are insanely easy to build! I can't wait to start the next one. I will have pics up in the next day or so.1 point

Parts are so readily available right now that any serious shooter ought to have a few of just about every spare part out there. The most recent panic and wait times for the most basic of parts reinforces my need to have spare parts almost to a fault. That being said, I've never busted a firing pin.1 point

Hello guys. My name is Brandon. I've been a gun guy for a long time. Been a backyard gun smith for a few years till I decided to try to make something of it. I recently got my type 07 ffl and sot 02. And started tactical innovations. I'm still very small. But I just got a larger lathe that I now do barrel work and machine suppressors. I build custom rifles anything from .223 up to .50 BMG I also build 1911s. But I do work on everything. I hydrodip and I'm a duracoat applicator. I love what I do. This isn't my full time job. More of an evening business. By day I'm a heavy equip mechanic. This isn't any advertisement. Lol I have no storefront I do this out of my home. Just letting y'all know u got a local friend that can smith, paint, order and build if any of y'all need it. I don't know if I can post pics on this section of what I do so I'll wait for someone to ask or I'll post it in the show off section. I love doing duracoat paint jobs and hydrographics its a hobby. Nice to be part of the site.1 point

Did this once with a Glock 27. You need huge pockets and the printing through your pants is fairly obvious. If I want to carry this gun concealed, I use and outside the pants holster and I wear a long shirt.1 point

Yeah, statute says only if "knowing or having reasonable cause to believe" it is stolen. About the only way a sting can work on a buyer, like "hey I've got this great .357 heater, pretty sure it was stolen, so I can make you a great deal on it!" - OS1 point

I tend to agree. It doesn't bother me if a company tries to jack up prices based on a current panic. I just won't pay their price if I don't need to. But I do hold a grudge against some companies that seem like they're intentionally trying to poke a stick in our eye. Like Troy hiring Dale Monroe or H-S Precision using Lon Horiuchi as a spokesmurderer spokesperson.1 point

My wife went to the bring up the garbage can one day and as soon as she touched the handle, a pack of wasps swarmed her. They were all around a pine tree we have, so i figured they were just near the area, so I went to check it out. I started to grab the trash can and "Did you check that door for heat?" popped in my head. So I booted the can. For record, i can run faster than I thought...... they made a nest the entire width of the can under the handle. I came back with two cans of 25' stream wasp killer and had myself a shootout. My neighbor came outside laughing because i was in the street shooting them out of the air while back pedaling away. Didn't get hit!1 point

Person A attacks, endangers, engages, advances harmfully toward person B. Whether person A is a cop, daughter, son, husband, wife, family member, smurf, whatever, and person B defends his/herself and person 1 pays the penalty of death or bodily harm, that is not brutality. Person A made the choice, and has to live or not live with the results.1 point

I carry a Glock 19 in Afghanistan. Working 12-16 hour days, 6-7 days a week. Primarily working in and out of bearcats. Never once seen a Glock bend, break or do whatever. I have broken a glock and my TL at the time broke his within a week of mine breaking. So, that sucked. But thats another story. Also, I carry a Glock 19 daily when I'm home in the states. Never had an issue with the polymer here either. You have nothing to worry about with getting in and out of vehicles with your Glock.1 point

Awesome! I just built my first lower a little while ago. I think it's actually easier than an upper. One of these days I'll figure out what to do with my TGO set. I keep drawing a blank on what to build.1 point

I've collected several over the years. Would go out either at night or early morning with a large plastic garbage bag and spread over nest and cut the limb it is on and put in chest type deep freezer. Leave for a few days and take out. Spray outside with clear polyurthane and hang up. Have one hanging from the catherial ceiling in my kitchen now.1 point

I just finished "Going Home" by A.American. Good read. I waiting on his next book "Surviving Home" to be released in print. The kindle version is out on Amazon already. I'm old school and prefer a tangible book... I just ordered "Patriot Dawn: The resistance Rises" by Max Velocity and I'm looking forward to reading it. Thanks for the great suggestions folks.1 point
