  1. Mayonnaise and sour cream.  I loathe both of those vile substances.   Other than that I can tolerate just about anything....other than bacon flavored this, that and the other.  Bacon should be delivered in fried strips and eaten that way.

  3. Why be an asshole to a complete stranger?  Maybe just try saying, "No sir, it's a 9mm" and be done with it.  Or try concealing... but I mean, you're carrying a gun roughly the size of a framing hammer so it might be harder to do that.  :D

  4. Talking about a certain person I know very well. Oh well, everybody has their hang-ups about alot of things but it doesn't matter, if I don't want to eat a certain food then no is no and don't get your drawers in a wad over it. It's my personal opinion or hang-up or whatever anyone calls it that chicken or turkey absolutly doesn't belong in any kind of tomato based food, it's just grose to me. The only exception is chicken and BBQ sauce and even then I would rather have it fried or baked, in a cheesy mix with pasta but no freaking tomato sauce, no turkey/chicken chili or speggitti or that chicken marinara goop, it just doesn't mix, the bird is ruined. I love chicken and I love tomato based dishes but not together, might as well mix sour cream and bacon and ice cream. OH, but chicken chili tastes good, try some, have a bowl. NOOOOOO for the umpteenth time. Big live grub worms(maggots) taste good to some people in Africa, partially developed soured eggs taste good to some people in France, boiled pig intestines tastes good to some people in Tennessee, turds tastes good to dogs so why don't they try some of that? All i'm saying is, if somebody doesn't want to eat something, respect their decision and don't get all mad about it.   Rant over.   What's your food hang-up?

  5. Ohhhhhh man. I am the weird one in my family. I have many hangups and the biggest of which is I *will not* eat food prepared by someone I do not know. One thing working in retail has taught me is that most folks have a different idea of what good hygiene is. Food preparation is a whole nother thing. I am hypocritical of this when it comes to restaurants, but I have a certain expectation of quality for something I'm paying for from someone who does it for a living.   Birthday cake. I go to a b-day party for a niece or nephew or friend or whatever, and they blow out the candles on the cake. I then have to explain or play like I'm not hungry because fuck me if I'm going to eat a cake covered in some kid's spit.

  7. I agree about the chicken and tomato thing   But, mayonnaise is awesome! I put it on everything; sandwiches, tuna, chicken, steak, pizza, pizza rolls, bacon, mayonnaise, cheetos, hipsters, eggs, chinese food, tacos, sour cream, salads, tomatos, potatoes, bread, artichokes, liberals, cereal, yellow snow, nachos, bbq, ice cream, garlic bread, burritos, taquitos, hot dogs, hamburgers, chocolate, ribs, peanuts, sauerkraut, caviar, foie gras, pickles, cake, socks, goats, berries, mixed nuts, etc.....                                   Just kidding....I don't put mayonnaise on bacon, bacon is already perfect.

  9. So I decided that I'd spend this lovely afternoon sharpening various kitchen knives, my pocket knife, and a utility knife or two. All went well until I got to my kershaw pocket knife. There was some sort of strange double bevel near the tip on one side of the blade. Took lots of work with the coarse diamond stone to clean that up. But did clean up and is razor sharp again. I have a habit of testing the quality of my sharpening job by shaving a bit of hair off the back of my hand. After a dozen or so knives, the back of my hand is nearly bald now, so I'm bare handed. And I only cut my finger once. :D.

  11. and don't serve me Turkey bacon. There is no such thing......and why do they try to make TOFU sausage or vegetarian hamburgers? You want to eat Tofu and vegetables fine. If you want to pretend like you are eating REAL sausage and REAL hamburger, then you are in denial! You are not a real vegetarian if you try to imitate meat!!!! Have you ever seen a VEGAN that didn't look hungry?

  13. Like I told my wife, people are looking for any reason to riot and loot. If the decision was that the officer was not going to be prosecuted people were going to riot and loot. Now had the grand jury decide to prosecute those same people would have been so overjoyed they would have rioted and looted. Just saying those that riot and loot generally look for ANY reason to do it, good or bad.

  14. I assumed that was a given conclusion. Who did not expect these people to riot no matter the outcome? They are no different than our president, they refuse to accept the truth and have no respect for the law. Someone said it was the parents fault for the death of their son. That is true but our entitlement society thanks to liberal government policies are as much to blame.

  17. Heads up brother TGO'rs....Was hunting yesterday and got checked by the Game Warden. He asked if we had harvested any deer and my Son said he had back during the bow season. The Warden asked to see his "harvest log", and the deer had not been recorded. My son checked the deer in on his phone and had his reference number. The Warden called it in to verify and it was all correct. However, the Game Warden said that we are "REQUIRED" to maintain the Harvest Log. He had not recorded it on the log and was issued a warning. I kinda smarted off and asked why the hell we have to check in deer AND keep records for TWRA. His answer, because you are. I personally thought those logs were for our use. Apparently us hunter's pay good money to do TWRA's record keeping for them!   So square away those logs boys!   Dave

  18. Hard to tell how deep it is but if you throw some Alumablack on it, it will turn the aluminum black .. it's not a coating it's more a reaction.. it's what I use after I engrave.  I do not think the engraving looks that bad.  As you stated .003 is about the thickness of a sheet of notebook paper..  I go to about .02 and it's still not that deep when you compare to the manuf engraving.. many of those are stamped too .. the engraving bits are hard to get small enough to make the minute detail of the letters and then hard enough to go through to a deep depth without breaking.  That 7075 can get pretty hard you'd be suprised.  Most of my customers want something subtle usually too but I've never had any problem post blasting and the engraving still showing up after a fresh cerakote job.  Just be careful if you do paint over it to not coat thick in those areas and I think you'll be ok.   Was it laser engraved? Can't tell from the photo but it looks like it to me.  When spikes was rolling my receivers for me the engraving was very shallow and done on their laser engravers.  My HK416 doesn't have anything deep except the pictograms on it .. the serial number, HK logo and everything looks like a bead blasting and they'll be gone.     http://www.brownells.com/gunsmith-tools-supplies/metal-prep-coloring/blackening-browning/aluminum-black-prod4941.aspx

  28. Not pissy at all. I've told people that my wife has 4 children by 3 different men. Of course the assumption is that my wife is a floozy not that we adopted. She gets pissy. LOL it's damn funny though.

  29. I adopted three kids that were siblings. There were some bad habits already built in that I knew we were going to have to work on. Guns were a big part of that. I had always had a handgun loaded on the nightstand next to me and a loaded SBR in the corner. A gun was loaded on my side when I left the house and still is. It was never a problem with my oldest. However, It was going to be a problem with two of my adopted children (one is blind) until their habits could be modified. I thought about leaving the gun in the same place without one in the camber, but ended up moving it to a location they can't get to. This puts both guns out of arms reach, but my kids are alive. It is essentially the same as having an empty chamber in the house. The point is that the guy you are referring to may have a valid reason for his decision that is none of your business.

  31. For most people, it will make no difference since they may never get into a situation where they need to draw their guns. But if you carry that way you need to get some snap caps and practice drawing and racking in a smooth motion. It can be done quite fast but it needs to be muscle memory.

  36. I've had a Shrike for several years. A Berserker is next on my list.   This is a family company and a group of good people. We met them at Blade in 2013 and talked to them for a while. They invited us down to do a tour of their workshop and see the operation (unfortunately it never worked out). We see them again at Blade 2014 and he remembered us and asked again if we were going to come down to visit.

  39. Attacking anyone, especially an officer of the law, might get you killed. Thats common knowledge even to overgrown man children. Even if he never had a record I am willing to bet because of his size he got his way. I know that sounds odd but I graduated with three overgrown giants. 2 went on to play college football until it was discovered neither could read. The third is in prison now.The point ? All three were skating through life based on their size and not their academics. Just look at interviews given by athletes. Some of them have a hard time linking sentences. And just so this isn't viewed as racist, my fellow graduates were all white and all three were upper class.much better off financially than I was.

  45. The no permit law in D.C. is part of the reason my brother recently transferred to another state. He lived in VA & had a CC permit, but worked for the D.O.D. & had top security clearance, but was still not allowed to carry in D.C. or at his job because of idiotic gun laws. The last straw was when he was working at the Navy yard & witnessed the shooting last year. A good friend & co-worker of his was murdered along with other employees because they worked in a "gun free zone". If the employees had been armed, there would at least had a chance to try to stop the gunman, but our govt. sees legally armed citizens as more of a threat. Disarming legal gun owning citizens & posting "no gun" signs does not make America a safer place. To this day I've never heard of a gunman politely asking permission to go on a shooting spree!

  47. So I wonder which caliber is best for the other boyfriend to use when he comes to "visit"?   Also, what pistol would prove to be the most reliable after the 10+ hour trip down to Tennessee?   And while we are discussing should the other boyfriend show up with the weapon concealed or should he open carry?   And finally if the other boyfriend shows up and is forced to shoot the current boyfriend after the current boyfriend pulls out a gun would it be a valid "stand your ground" case for either of them?
