  5. I put some car polish in the media every 4th or 5th batch. Let it run for about 5 minutes before dumping in the brass. Super shiny, super slick brass is the result, and it runs through the dies slicker'n poop through a goose.

  10. If you had to choose between Constitutional carry with the present restrictions that we have VS unrestricted permit carry (basically legal in any location you carry whether it is a store or school), which would you choose?   I personally would choose to pay for the handgun carry permit and carry anywhere legally without restrictions VS the constitutional carry with the various gun free area restrictions.

  13. So glad to see this fire back up...we've got a ton of romaine, spinach, kale, and Swiss chard in the ground. Also about 100 tomatoes and 100 pepper seeds started. Wife stomped her cute foot and said strawberries or else so we got 25 plants and 50 starts rolling. We finished our first greenhouse last fall. Mostly all I've done with it is kill a bunch of stuff. The thing I'm most excited about is we have 2 large wicking beds under construction. They will hopefully be complete this weekend. I will try to get pictures of the various stages of construction. 14. Yea, I read that, but no round was chambered.  Now I am not condoning his actions, clearly a stupid thing to do, but I have never heard a round discharging in a magazine without a round in the chamber causing it.  Now the whole gun in school thing, he should of known the laws he was subject to, no defense for that.

  15. So, let me get this straight.   He got online, told a guy who had something for sale he would buy it.  They met up, he told the guy he wasn't a felon, the seller had no reasonable suspicion this guy was a felon, he purchased the weapon legally and is now whining about it?   Talk about making a sh!t show out of nothing.  Typical antigun retard.

  20.   Nope. I tumble my brass for hours and hours. Nothing sticks, maybe because I use Flitz when I tumble.

  25. There are 3 guns that I always enjoy seeing in the episodes... Rick's Colt of course, Sasha's supressed AR and Abraham's M16. It has me wanting to build an old school A2 :)

  26. Shiny brass isn't required for reloading, but clean brass protects the equipment.  I deprime after tumbling and scrape out primer pocket grunge during case inspection.  If I were reselling the brass, it would be worth my while to make them sparkle, but for now clean and serviceable brass is my main concern.

  27. I tumble in corncob/walnut and deprime AFTER tumbling. One, I don't wanna run dirty brass through my deprime/resizing die. Two, I don't wanna hafta check primer pockets for media.

  29. Heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend who......   Also no one namely the ATF is going to charge you with owning a silencer when it is in fact a faux silencer...

  30. I'd stay away from them, I understand situations such as that that Omega has where the gun comes like that.  Otherwise if that fake suppressor reduces the sound of the gun firing at all you could be subject to being charged with having a suppressor that you didn't pay your tax stamp on.  You can go on and on about your rights to put fake suppressors on your guns and whatnot but at the end of the day for me, if I don't need it, it doesn't serve a purpose, and it will attract the attention of the ATF then it's not going on my gun.  I don't want to have any conversations with those guys regardless of whether or not I did anything illegal.

  34. NO disrespect Caster but quit thinking logically.  This is a TV show about post apocalyptic life complete with zombies.  We are gun people here that are more firearm savvy than maybe the average viewer just accepts as plausible because of their ignorance to all things firearm related.  I do agree a complete machine shop is not necessary  because like you say there should be a fair amount of ammo still stashed in peoples homes and in retail stores.  I'm sure the store supplies would disappear quicker but surely there are some that remain untouched or maybe I'm way off on that one.  Using the same thought process there should be sporting good and gun shops that have reloading equipment for the taking.  My first thought when Eugene explained his vision of producing ammunition was what about powder and primers.  The same place they would scavenge these items there should be reloading equipment as well.   As for the Doctor Denise, all I have to say about that is, she never saw it coming! :biglol:
