1. If you're my equal or my superior in the workplace, and I frequently have to hold your hand and show you how to do your job...I'm going to hate you, that's all there is to it. I'm not talking about training a new employee or helping you the first time you come into a new situation. I'm talking about the "you ought to know better" crowd. This has been a friendly workplace PSA ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

 2. As it seems divorce is a national trend these days I guess I beat the odds.     There was a day in my life I will always cherish. I was at the Naval Base near Chicago, cold, snowy, blustery windy day. I was headed back to post when this very cute girl stopped me to ask directions. I gave her directions and cautioned her on the not so good area we were in. I then followed her to the store. She was cute, very cute. I got her room number so we could meet later.    I remembered the room number but not the barracks number. So as I was smitten with her I checked every barracks in the area until I found the right one. Key words there are the “Right one”. We dated for a while then I was so smitten I asked her to share my life permanently. She said “Yes”!   That was 30 years ago today on May10th, 1986. Since then we have had ups and downs. She has put up with more than she should have. She has raised 3 great children and we have 2 grandkids! On this anniversary I wish to express my love for the ”Right one”.    So maybe this is not as romantic as others have been able to express but I am alas, not a poet. Just a husband that is very proud of his wife.  She has been my light and love for 30 years. I find that so hard to believe as it seems like yesterday. Happy Anniversary Jean! I love you as much today as the first frosty day we meant. I will cherish you always!   And to top it off my lovely bride like's guns!

 3. Every other day someone on Facebook brags about their bicycle or running marathon they do or about to do, post the mileage and route although not too many people really care that much, just hit like to be polite. Here's my Facebook marathon for the day.

 9. Been a loooong time since I last had access to a workshop, but I had a fun day today! Got this hunter profiled, ground & heat treated. O1 steel 3/16 thick. 4¼" blade fully flat ground at 62RWC. 5½" handle. I'm just waiting on some bar stock to come in for the pins, but I'll be handling it with blaze orange G10 with blue & white liners.

 13. Sorry, it's not a gun this time. I've been single for about 14 years. I definitely enjoyed it. I never cared about having a real relationship....until about 5 months ago. A girl I went to high school with moved to the area. We hadn't seen each other since graduation years ago. We got in contact and after a few times seeing her I knew she was who I'd been waiting for. Yesterday, I was lucky enough to marry her. Just us two in a little chapel. She wanted to go to one of those old time photo places for some 'Cowboy Wedding' pictures. Being the smart man I am I said yes dear LOL. It was actually pretty fun. Here's a pic of my beautiful bride. Life is good people. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

 17. If not for the wife saying "hell no!" I'd be building a house out of them. I've used them in a professional capacity several times and they work quite well as storage. As an added bonus, once you get the house built you can always find designs online to plumb and run power to the conex and turn it into a workshop or whatever.

 24. On another board I visit they are once again running on and on about the use of reloads/modified guns for self defense. Yadda, yadda, yadda.  :screwy: Of course it turned to the possibility of civil law suits. If I remember correctly, doesn't Tennessee law state that if a self defense shooting is ruled as justified, that civil suits can not be filled or no awards can be made? Somebody set me straight on this. I can't seem to remember how it goes.

 26. I have had decent luck with the Northern Tool kits.  They certainly aren't the best quality, but they do ok for a specific task.  I have a solar powered shed using one of their kits - LED lights, chainsaw sharpener, and grinder.  Nothing that I expect long run times on and I only go in there a couple times a week, but it works.     For smaller applications, the Goal Zero stuff isn't bad.  I keep a small panel in my backpacking gear just to charge my phone on trips.

 27.   It all depends, but yes, it may fry it, just like it may fry other electronics. A good ole mechanical dial safe should be safe. (sorry, couldn't resist the pun).

 28. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPvXnmBIO7o     It's a bit of smoke and mirrors from all accounts because the solar power panel isn't large enough to fill the bottle in a timely manner. This doesn't mean something better couldn't be worked out but it's going to take more power. What your basically dealing with is a miniaturized dehumidifier filling up the water bottle. It would take several days of continuous sunlight to work with the above mentioned self filling water bottle.

 29. My path is likely heading toward that of being the front office guy for my Dad's small machine shop. It's not really the dummy telling me what to do that I have a problem with, it's me having to show them how big of a dummy they are by showing them their job.

 30. I drive 3k - 4k miles per month...folks don't drive so good...merging, signalling, acceleration / deceleration lanes aka on/off ramps, distance between vehicles, impeding the flow of traffic with excessive fast/slow speed and proper use of travel vs. passing lanes are not only foreign, but archaic. Patience, a good sense of humor, cat like defensive driving skills, allowkng for felays and the occasional, "wow, thought I had seen it all," makes for entertaining driving...

 36. Not only the reliability, but if you do find yourself in court, the prosecuting attorney is going to use anything and everything to make you look like a cold-blooded calculating murderer. "You made your own ammunition so that you could make it more lethal didn't you? What? The standard ammunition wasn't deadly enough for you? They wouldn't do enough damage to this fine upstanding citizen who was only trying to ask you for directions in the middle of your living room at 2am? Don't change the subject to the crowbar and bowie knife in the victim's hands! The issue is that you intentionally and maliciously planned to take a person's life with your overpowered bullets, didn't you!"   Same thing goes for modifications to the firearm.   It's a lame argument, but one I'd expect to face if I were using reloads or a modified firearm. Odds of having a "gun person" on the jury are slim, much less 12 of them.

 42. My thing is, if Killary wins, she'll put one or more SCOTUS judges in. That will change the face of our rights. Sure, the House and Senate is in the Right's hands, but what if that changes? She'll be unstoppable. We've lost control of both before, and it can and will happen again. The way I see it is this: abstaining from a vote is a vote for Killary. Voting for Killary is a vote against our rights and remember, she is running on a gun control platform for presidency. A vote for Killary is a vote against the 2A and means you are an enemy of the 2A.

 44. The latest stuff says he used to have custody of her. It also has been said he has bought food and clothes that a kid would like. In the video he does not look concerned that sh ed might run from him. He is unloading drinks from the bottom front of the cart while she stands at the back of the cart. I think there is more to this than we know. I am not going to pass judgement yet but you bet if I see him i will follow him until the cops can catch him and straighten it out. 48.   I'm the odd man out in thinking that both cases were the right call, but it doesn't make a difference in the end results...both were SCOTUS decisions that a large part of the country disagrees with based on their personal politics.   Also, both could be changed if the court takes a case that opens either back up, much as Heller took on established law at the time.   I'm just saying that conservatives have their own hypocrisy in liking/hating SCOTUS verdicts same as liberals.
