  2. I think 10-Ring meant it as a joke. One I was just about to make myself when I realized he beat me to it. It's Tipton Co. so $500 sounds about right.

  11. I had been wanting to own a Bullpup rifle for years. I almost bought and FS2000 years ago, but decided to plop the money down on an Arsenal AK instead. Then the Tavor comes along and I kinda fell in love with it. This year at SHOT show, IWI announced they were going to release the Tavor in my favorite modern caliber, 300 Blackout. I finally decided to take the plunge. I preordered a Tavor SAR 300blk back in March. Initially, they were supposed to be released in April/May so I wanted to go ahead and get an order out there. Then it gets pushed from May to July. Back at NRAAM, I got to play with one and really fell in love. Then Tuesday I find out that they have been delayed until Q1 2017. I can't wait that long, especially with Hillary potentially becoming president in November so I went ahead and ordered a normal Tavor. Just picked it up. So I guess I'm finally in that Bullpup life. I love this thing. Anyone else into bullpups? Here's my new rifle: And mostly kitted up:

  13. I bought a couple of new guns and went to Illinois to do some shooting. My friend in Champaign said they had a new store there. I must say I was really impressed. This place was huge and had one heck of a selection. Guns knives, ammo, bows….. Huge selection of everything. I had never heard of it before and wondered why they would put it right next door to a Dick’s. You can pass back and forth between their store and Dicks. When I checked out they ask for my Dicks card, so I guess it’s a new type of store for Dicks. My daughter went shooting with me and when I mentioned this store her eyes lit up and she said “Is that bad azz or what! I have a new favorite store.” I don’t think it was as big as our Bass Pro at Nashville, but it definitely had a lot more guns, knives and bows. http://www.fieldandstreamshop.com/s/stores

  14. We adopted the east bound stretch of Hwy 386 from mile marker 4 to marker 6 several years ago and held a cleanup day. There were several of us that were there, there's a thread and photos here somewhere from that day. I passed the organizer torch and all the supplies to Lagerhead, I really couldn't say what became of the program after that. When I was down in TN back in June our sign was still up on Hwy 386.

  16. Since we have a minimum of eight, we'll roll with that, but with one adjustment...we'll skip week 1 in the NFL, draft next week, and start on NFL week 2. I'm starting to fix the teams now. @ou812 PM me your email addy, I accidentally deleted your team. For anyone new, please PM me your email addresses as well, so I can get you set up.

  23. Well yesterday I finally got my TiN Agency Barrel. Its basically a S3F Solutions barrel that is machined further by Agency. I have to say, man it looks good. I haven't shot it yet but i have no doubt that it'll be accurate. The lock up is tighter then my Silencer Co & Stock Glock barrel. There is still some play if you press down on the chamber but it is very minimal. Especially compared my other options. The feed ramp and crown are polished thats a nice touch, we'll see how it looks after a few hundred rounds. The fluting is very nicely done and I can feel that this barrel is lighter then my SiCo barrel, but that could also be because the SiCo is threaded. I honestly don't think there is anything else i can do to it. Maybe some TiN receiver pins, but IDK about that. Let me know if you have any questions, or if you want specific pictures.

  25. Step one - Find out if your holster can fire your weapon. To do this unload your weapon and try to move the trigger by pushing the weapon into the holster at every conceivable angle. If you find a way to fire the weapon either fix your holster or get a new one. Example. I just Dremeled some fine tuning on my new kydex holster because I found a way to move the trigger with the sweat guard. Five minutes with the Dremel and my holster is safe for use. Step two - Your thumb on your stong hand locates the holster when you are done with your weapon. It should sorta be like a hook that you index the mouth of your holster with. Move your hand with your weapon to your belt. Confirm your holster with your thumb. Slide your weapon in slowly being sure to clear all your clothing and accessories such as keys, wallet chain, phone ...etc. There is nothing wrong with looking, but the goal is to not have to in the long run. Try again to move the trigger with the holster. Step three - Do it as fast and as recklessly as you can. I'm serious, jam that weapon in your holster like your life depends on it. Be vigorous. If it is going to cause the trigger to move you would much rather find out now in your house with an unloaded weapon. The cost here is only a click. Latter on it could be much more expensive. Step four - Don't ever for any reason try step three with a loaded weapon. With a leather holster you may have to repeat this process periodically. Good luck.

  27. I got mine there when I was there to meet Lee Ermey. I've been thinking about the KO Work sharp, but I would want the grinding attachment. After the experience of making my own in that small building next to SMKW, I've got a bit of a bug....but no space.

  28. I don't think that what he's implying at all. Knowing WM and they way they constantly change around the ammo shelves and price tags I can understand the confusion. That being said I'm sure more than one WM manager has profited handsomely the past 3.5 years of the .22 foolishness.

  31. No I haven't. I've been watching Justified on demand and you can sorta trace the bourbon trajectory from what they're pouring. Started out with a lot of Pappy and moved to Elmer. In one of the last season shows I noticed a Eagle Rare pour. And remember, there's always more bourbon, and if not I can probably give you some tips on a passable substitute...lol.

  32. You're thinking RefferMac! You are far ahead of the pack brother! Reholstering any handgun should always be a deliberate and purposeful act. There is no such critter as "speed reholstering". I've carried daily for at least 26 years and I am always cautious when reinserting the gun back into the holster..external safety of not. I predominately carry a G 19 appendix IWB. There is nothing wrong with "looking the gun" into the holster, with the "tilt" of the base of the holster out as you mentioned. It will become more intuitive over time..but one should never become complacent with any aspect of gun handling. IMHO the majority of self inflicted gunshot wounds come from complacency and inattention. Dolo of course is right. Dry Fire practice is essential for improvement. Practice with dummy rounds or simply an empty gun will gain you a lot in the long run. I'm not familiar with the holster you cited, but as long as it's secure and doesn't shift I'm sure it'll serve you well. I second shotgunshooter's recommendation for professional training, especially with Randy (Cruel Hand Luke). But he's a friend, so I am biased. Ingraining skills under a watchful professional eye such as with Randy can help prevent training scars which take a good bit of effort to "unlearn".

  34. New addition to my full size 40s vintage self loading rifle collection. Finally bagged me a Swedish AG-42b otherwise known as a Ljungman. Here it is pictured with my other three. Top to bottom: 1942 Springfield Garand, 1945 Ljungman, 1941 SVT 40, and an Argentine FN49. . Still on the to acquire list are a MAS 49/56 and the Egyptian Hakim (Ljungman copy). Then maybe a Beretta BM-62 or a Walther K/G43 if I can swing it. I would still love a 41 Johnson automatic too. Again, this is just the big rifles. I have also an m1 carbine and SKS. I'll add a VZ 52 and a Rasheed at some point. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  36. I wish I could take credit for this statement. The irony of this is just too much: the federal government is literally deciding whether a symbol of freedom that originated for the purpose of drawing attention to an oppressive government should be banned from the workplace, or else.

  37. But the chrome lined bore (or lack thereof) is offset by being cold hammer forged and excellent quality. The Zastava's are high quality excellently built guns. "Drawbacks" are the previously mentioned bore, propriety gas tube/HG/buttstock/top cover/piston. That being said, all those parts are easy to come by. It's just not a true AK/AKM.
