  2. I think that the Thomas Jefferson test should be applied to all laws and any laws which do not pass that test should be null and void. The test to which I am referring has to do with a quote from Jefferson on religion: Unfortunately, there are too many people in our society that seem to believe that someone simply doing something that they do not like or agree with 'picks their pocket or breaks their leg.'

  3. The law enforcement community has been pointing out that every major city that is run by a democratic mayor is having these same issues so it is nothing new. The only thing new about Nashville is more and more folks moving from other democratic major cities and states like New York, Michigan. and other northen states are voting these democrats like Barry into office trying to create the same situation they moved away from.................jmho.

  4. The inability of government to remain limited in scope to this just aim is what finally pushed me on the path towards anarchism. All the arguments of how folks are incapable of regulating themselves and therefore need government are also the same arguments why government can't be allowed because those who can't regulate themselves are drawn like moths to the flame of government's mantle of legitimacy to use force to regulate the actions of others. Generally, those who have need of government are wholly unfit to be a part of it. Those who are fit to be a part of it almost never are because they have no need nor want of it.

  5. Love the gun combo. But I had such a great time in Sedona some years back. The views are tremendous! Probably not where this shot was taken, but it reminds me of the view from Submarine Rock looking out over the valley and into the hills. Ok, off on a memory kick. If any of you guys are ever there, take the back roads off 89 and see the areas leading out of Sedona. It's a great drive in a ragtop, but I bet it would be awesome on a bike!

  6. The really worrisome thing is that when places like Nashville, Memphis, etc. start really whining then they can screw up things for the entirety of the state. I suspect that is especially true of Nashville where many of the legislators probably live and certainly where the legislative bodies meet. Just as many people say that New York City screws up the entire state of New York, cities like Los Angeles and San Francisco screw up all of California and increasingly liberal, large cities in other traditionally pro-gun states have started screwing up the entirety of those states I would hate to see one or two cities in Tennessee screw things up for all of us.

  7. If everyone being pulled over acted like this guy and if every copy pulling someone over acted like this cop, the media would have a lot less to report on. This is my modus operandi as well. I'm not riding in a pack of vehicles that outweigh my motorcycle by a ton or more. That's more dangerous than speeding. Plus, I've only been pulled over for speeding once since I was a teenager and never on a motorcycle...ever. Lucky? Strategic? Who knows?

  12. First and foremost, Merry Christmas! After months of passively searching, I purchased a factory FDE SilencerCo Osprey 45 suppressor for my FN FNX 45 Tactical in FDE. I purchased the suppressor via GunBroker from BMC Tactical/Warrior Steel. After remitting my payment 45 days ago, my suppressor arrived at my preferred LGS, the Nashville Armory. The wait time officially begins as my paperwork has been submitted!

  13. UPDATE 10/5/2016 @ 10:30PM Central Some of the slowness that we have been experiencing has been tracked back to corruption in the SEARCH database table. I am rebuilding the search index now, but this process takes a while to complete. As a consequence, you may find that search results, including the search for new content, may be limited for a few hours. More to come.

  14. I downloaded an app on my android phone which many of you may find a use for. Android Version Apple Itunes Version This app is free (need an account, free, to sync with pc, phone, tablet, etc), which surprises the heck out of me. It lets you do some of the following: Map out your hunting area (parcels identified by owner name), mark items such as your stand, feeders etc, mark food plots. Measure linear and areas, gives weather, shows elevation. Just too much to mention, I highly recommend it and I have only had it since last night! I included some screens hots. BTW, I am not connected to these folks, so forgive me if it sounds like I'm trying to sell it, I'm not, just sharing. My honey Hole Measure Linear Distance (with elevation profile) Area Calculations Weather Data Wind Data, shows where your scent will mainly carry.

  15. When all this started back in 2014, HK Parts sent out a letter saying that this would not affect the company and everything would be business as usual. So don't worry, nothing changed.

  16. Something tells me the gun was probably stolen. If it were obtained legally this would have been front page news as to try to say current gun laws are not working. In addition they don't want to tarnish this marijuana smoking, convicted felon, illegally possessing a firearm, red blooded, boy scout of a citizen unjustly.

  23. If you target the 5% of serious criminals that commit 95% of the violent crime and either kill them or lock them away then your problem largely solves itself. Unfortunately too many interest groups need those people committing the crime to keep said interest groups relevant.

  24. Real hard work right there... 1-trend data 2-look for patterns, including demographics 3-find the obvious solution 4-bury the findings so you are not called a racist 5-blame it on the gun

  25. I don't disagree. The safest thing to do is to ride a bit faster than traffic flow to help prevent someone getting you from behind where your visibility and awareness are worst. But that was hardly what I'd consider heavy traffic and 15+ over the limit while weaving through the cars was asking for it. Having a gun in full view is the icing on the cake. I didn't see where that was, but it looked like Florida where concealment is a requirement. At least the cop didn't sneak up behind him and snatch it out of his holster like that moron here did a while back. The lesson clearly is, be polite, do what you're told, don't be stupid, and things will work out fine.

  26. Hello Everyone, Just learned about the site from a Co Worker and the Man of TGO David. So my name is Marc I am a transplant to Nashville from Arkansas ( Wynne) via the way of Memphis. Had my hand in doing Repo's and Bounty Hunting for a few years in Memphis. But as my Family calls the the High tech Redneck or the Redneck Computer Geek. I am just a County Boy that found a way to make a living with computers. But I still like getting out and getting my hand dirty doing stuff that requires physical labor and not the pounding of a key board. Been here for the last few years and only have made it to the range a few times with the H&K USP Compact 9mm. See Ya Around Marc

  27. I guess I feel the need to defend that. That's normal riding behavior for me. I have 0 interest riding anywhere near cars. I routinely ride 10-15mph above posted speed limits. It significantly reduces the attention I need to pay to irresponsible drivers beside or behind me. On a motorcycle, my primary interest is myself, if I have room to merge between two cars I go, there was nothing in that video that was a remotely dangerous or unsafe riding action. I accept the risk of being pulled over, I've been pulled over. And like this upstanding citizen, I've been given a warning after my discussion with the officer. My life is my first priority and while I admitted speeding I plead my case that I want to keep traffic and danger behind me, officers seem to share my sentiments and understand I'm on an extremely capable machine. They give their ride safe speech and we go our separate ways.

  28. This about a million times. I see bikes speeding a good bit, just asking for LEO to pull them over. As far as taking the pistol, well there are 2 sides to this and I will stay out of it.

  33. UPDATE 10/2/16 @ 8:00PM Central Folks, I cannot apologize enough. The switch to the new server has been one frustration after another. Performance is not what it should be and I am near the limit of my knowledge as relates to tuning it and tweaking it to accommodate our normal workload. I am investigating other options right now, including hiring someone to either go through our current server and tune it up, or to build a new one for us that is optimized to handle the load. Please continue to be patient with me.

  36. I remember back in the mid 90's you may have hear of 5-6 shooting a week in Nashville. Now it's 4-5 a night it seems. The town has grown leaps and bounds which means the low life population has grown with it. It's not a safe place at night anymore and the undesirables have no decency or common sense. Everyone owes them something and since nobody is giving anything away they feel it's their right to take it.

  38. She is talented and I do like her music. I did notices a slight change in her voice after her vocal cord surgery. She doesn't have that little crackle anymore that made some songs intense. I've been to so many concerts and I barely remember any of them. It's hardly worth the price of normal admission much less than this admission price. A large flatscreen, surround sound and a dvd of a live concert is more than enough and the way to go!

  39. Ok...confession time. I like Adele far more than my wife does. I'd love to see this concert. But ticket prices for this one, and many others are just way out of what I'd reasonably pay. Plus, I really dislike the seating at Bridgestone. I saw Riverdance there once. From 2nd row from the top. Awful seat, totally uncomfortable, and lousy view. I can see better from the top row at a Titans game than there.
