We bought a 3D printer for the office a while ago. It is here basically as a toy for the employees to play with. We we have made all sorts of things. Model of a 1911, a Darth Vader, light switches and all sorts of little brackets and tools. Just picked up my first 1903. These are cool little guns. This one was made in 1913. Not bad looking for 104 years old. The 1903 is a .32. The 1908s, which look the same, are .380. I will probably end up getting one of those also. The slide is tight and a little sticky. I need to stip it and give it a good cleaning and then off to the range.

yup, i already picked up the gloves, I am going to have to check into riding shoes/boots/leathers still. So those extra days just give me time to get everything i need. with the Bike here sooner, I might be out riding first instead of getting what i need to go with it.

Because that is usually where the problem is if there is no disposition. Of course if there is a disposition and TBI thinks it’s a disqualifier; they make the call and that could be tough/expensive to overcome. I was one of the lucky few to get one of the K11 carbines from Classic Arms' latest batches. Very pleased that it's not soaked in cosmoline, and that it has all matching numbers, and included the trifecta of accessories (sling, muzzle cap, and troop tag) Too bad the troop tag is not legible, but it does have a number matching the rifle, and the guy was in the army reserves and lived in Burgdorf. This rifle seems to be a conversion from the Cavalry Carbine Model 1905. Based on the fact that it's about 1/8" to 3/16" shorter than my K31. Also, it falls within the serial number range of the converted ones, in the year 1916. It has a "T" after the serial number, which I believe is an inspector stamp, and it has a P below the number with means the soldier kept his rifle. There's also a "35" stamped below the serial number, and the only thing I can come up with for that is if the rifle was refurbished at the factory in 1935.

Good for you. I think you will find you will get better treatment when you need something locally because you bought from them. I don’t understand the wait. I would have wanted to take it right then. You have to wait on your insurance man? I had to wait a year for my Harley. I was in California teaching a two week training class when my wife call and said “The dealer called; your Harley is here.” Man that was a long two weeks.

Many of us have had this happen. From your description it sounds like there is no disposition listed for an arrest. The TBI was pretty much worthless in telling me what was going on. So instead of paying for a background check by the Feds; I applied for a C&R FFL. The BATF told me exactly what was going on and how to fix it. Over 25 years ago I was arrested for having a gun in my car in Illinois. The case was dismissed, but apparently that information never got to the Feds. I bought guns in several states over those years and never had a problem. The BATF explained to me that I would need to contact the Clerk of the Court where the case was and have the disposition submitted to the Feds. My daughter went to the Circuit Clerks Office where the case was and did that for me. They gave her notarized copies of the disposition to send to the BATF and gave her a second copy because they said I may need them again. They said they would resubmit to the Feds. I have made many gun purchases here in Tennessee since and not had a problem. Mine was a dismissal so I didn’t need an expungement. If yours was a conviction you may need an expungement. When I found out what it was I told the TBI that it was a misdemeanor and wouldn’t stop a purchase anyway. They told me that just because it was a misdemeanor in Illinois; that didn’t mean it was a misdemeanor in Tennessee and they would have to look at it. I didn’t want to pay for an expungement because I wasn’t convicted and it’s not something that makes the case disappear like many believe. But if you can’t get the original court to resubmit the disposition to the Feds, or the TBI has to take a look at your conviction; it’s something you may want to look into. I know you may think this is happening because Maryland is anti-gun; but I doubt that is the case. To correct it they don’t have to know you are trying to buy a gun; this problem could come up in a background check for a job. If it is possible for you or a family member to go to the Circuit Clerk (or Clerk of the Court, whatever they call it in Maryland) and have them resubmit it and give you/them notarized copies; I would try that first before I paid for an attorney.

You can definitely use the slide release Dave. That sucker is tiny and crammed into a small gun to start with...but it's "doable". Mine has the manual safety fwiw. I default to an overhand slingshot method as that was how I initially trained. After 10 of thousands of reps it's just ingrained in me. But I did intentionally use the slide release several times when running my Sccy the other day. I always carry a second magazine. Not so much because I fantasize about taking on the Isis hoards ...but as a malfunction clearance tool... and simply because magazines are usually the failure component culprit in a semiauto...low probability issue...but I train to keep the gun running and the extra mag is a link in that chain.

The reason for my denial was Maryland refused to respond to repeated atemps by nics for clarification of case status. Basically because Maryland is anti gun they refuse to help nics to do their job correctly and efficiently. The vaf packet is supposed to somehow by pass this by keeping my information on hand and instead of putting my ss# on the background check form I would put an unique pin number that would be issued to me.

I think this is just another example of how government is on-call to enforce edicts from business interests. Unless it's a health or safety issue, officers should not be willing to enforce on behalf of the airlines. United had a problem that was 100% business created, and therefore should have been 100% business solved. Forcing a booked, ticketed, checked, and seated passenger off a plane should never be a police function because there is no public danger in play.

No, the proper solution was to deal with the overbooking before boarding. Once boarded, there should be no reason to get off unless it is a security issue. They also need to figure out the crew assignments better, how is it that the crew could not take another flight, or a 4hr bus trip for that matter. If crew rest would of been impacted, then they should of been sent off the day before.
