  1. I still can't read this without coming to tears. I first saw it in a flea market, of all places. I read it and was bawling like a baby. We had just lost a companion that was very dear to me. I just hope and pray that I can live a life that will allow me to see Tanya, and all my other past friends, companions and protectors again. There is no more perfect love on this world than that of a dog. One look into those eyes, and you can see what perfect love is. If you can't...I'm very sorry for you.

  4. There is a derogatory term for such a person. The term is that the person is a 'Fudd' - as in Elmer Fudd. Personally, my own 'likes' lean more toward shotguns, lever rifles and revolvers and I don't own an AR or AK variant but I don't want to see things banned even if, like bump stocks, I have no personal interest in owning them.

  7. in the spring of 1946 my older brother returned from WW II, when I was about nine years old. Among his souvenirs was this Mauser M-1910 .25 ACP pistol. The caliber designation read "6,35 mm" and none of us knew what that meant. My Dad took the gun to old J.G. Schmidt's in Memphis and learned it was .25 ACP. He bought a box of cartridges for it and we went down to an uncle's farm in Mississippi: We got some cans from the trash pile and set them on a fence post. After we each tried our hand and the box was expended, the can still stood unscathed. I kept one live round, the first of my cartridge collection, and determined then and there I would learn how to shoot a handgun, and to learn everything I could about them. Still learnin'. Bob Wright P.S. After my brother's death the pistol was passed on to his son. Shortly before his death, my nephew gave the gun to me.

  8. Well, I guess after trip to vet today the news was not good. The vet took Xrays and she had a growth on her liver and even though she is not in any pain the vet sent pain meds home with me to make sure I can keep her comfortable. Blood tests will be back by Friday to confirm her prognosis. I refuse to allow Kasey to suffer at all and at her age the vet said she probably would not survive the surgery. I'm going to dedicate most of what little time I have left with her and feeding her everything she loves to eat. She is 17 years old and been my best friend all that time. I have decided to have her cremated and keep her with me as long as I am alive. For those of you that don't know Kasey her she is.

  11. Just because it looks or sounds like a machinegun does not make it one, at least not unless they change the legal definition. If I show anyone, that is not accustomed to the messed up ATF rules, my 300 Blackout pistol, they will swear up and down that it's a rifle, yet currently ATF says it is not. The courts have made bad decisions in the past, but for the most part they try and keep it within the letter of the law, so I doubt they can rule any other way. The unknowing public will just have to get over it.

  13. We have treasonous turncoats. Some are Republicans some are Democrats some are independent. They are all worthless and needed to go!

  14. Like I have been saying, we don't have conservative Republicans, we have 80's Democrats. There is already mumblings that this might be the straw.

  15. I'm sure we all would. But then there's that whole "real world" thing we live in. Anyone who doesn't believe that this could pass, that "the Republicans will prevent this sort of thing" those are the folks not living in the real world.

  17. Not the greatest pic. This is a 1952 or 53 Marlin 336 in .35. It was in really rough condition when I picked it up for my son. The fore stock was not even for the gun and had been hot glued to the tube. The rear stock had been stained plum and scratched up, then the whole thing had been coated in varnish. I made a 10 year old boy happy by making it look ( in my opinion) better.
