  1. Hi, Fred, this is Richard, next door. I’ve got a confession to make. I’ve been riddled with guilt for a few months and have been trying to get up the courage to tell you face-to-face. At least I’m telling you in this text and I can’t live with myself a minute longer without you knowing about this. The truth is that when you’re not around I’ve been sharing your wife, day and night. In fact, probably much more than you. I haven’t been getting it at home recently and I know that that’s no excuse. The temptation was just too great. I can’t live with the guilt and hope you’ll accept my sincere apology and forgive me. Please suggest a fee for usage and I’ll pay you. Regards, Richard Neighbor’s response: Fred, feeling so angered and betrayed, grabbed his gun and shot Richard, killing him. He went back home and poured himself a stiff drink and sat down on the sofa. Fred then looked at his phone and discovered a second text message from Richard. Second text message: Hi, Fred. Richard here again. Sorry about the typo on my last text. I expect you figured it out and noticed that the damned Auto-Correct had changed “wi-fi” to “wife.” Technology, huh? It’ll be the death of us all. Regards, Richard

  2. It is high priced spray paint that devalues ome's gun? Don't do it; especially if you'd ever like to sell said gun.

  3. False. School shootings/massacres have been happening since the colonial days. A Google search brought this up as it's first result. This is only school shootings. Mass Shootings have their own page. Ten of the twenty-two deadliest fall outside of your ten to twenty year criteria as well. The list of Rampage Killings (6+) shows that only three of the top ten have happened in the last twenty-one years. What has changed is the way in which we receive our news, and how it is fed to us. Human beings are the most violent species on the face of the earth. They have been killing one another since the second generation according to some written accounts. Similar atrocities have been occurring as long as humans have inhabited the earth, all written accounts are testimony to that. There is not finger to point the blame at. It is not society. Not ancient nor modern. It is the human psyche itself.

  4. Another 70 rounds through mine tonight with zero issues. I'm now up to 790 rounds with a variety of ammo - JHP, FMJ, 115, 124, 147, +P, etc... without a single failure to feed, eject or hold the slide back. Did I have an issue with the rear sight, yep. Did Sig take care of it, yep. Have there been some issues and QC issues that escaped the factory, yep. Could they have done a little better and longer testing period, maybe. Are some of the issues being overblown, probably.

  6. Did a bit of cleanin here a few minutes ago... Things are definitely better now... I flushed everything in the slide and in the trigger group with a bit of Ronsonol (...that's right... lighter fluid... It is a great cleaner for oily or gummy parts... Learned the trick from a photographer buddy...) and a bit of Blue Lube, then a few drops of Tuff Glide... leroy...

  9. There ought to be a course for people thinking about opening a gun store. I hate seeing otherwise good folks blow their life/retirement savings on a gun store thinking it will be fun only to realize that it's a hard business whose customers will showroom your stuff only to buy online and leave you with inventory no one wants. How many examples of this do we have in the last few years here in Tennessee alone? I can think of a dozen off the top of my head. There are business models that I think could thrive - but it's not your classical brick and mortar model - they're more niche plays. And, even then you've got to show up and put in the work every day - and probably still be a little lucky.

  10. Yeah. I bought from them some. I'm never surprised when I gun store goes out. Hard way to make a living. Last recent contact I had, they referred me to another store for a lower receiver transfer. Digging for that message. It may be gone. UPDATE: It was a Facebook message. It's gone.

  11. And, when you actually call the BATFE on something like this, they're generally quite helpful. It could be that they're just thankful to answer a call that is something other than the NFA version of "are we there yet."

  12. You guys with NFA items that were being held by Guns N' More: What is the BATFE saying? If those items were transferred by the crew at GnM to some other dealer to hold until your stamps were processed, the BATFE would have record of the transfers and know who the new Class III dealer that you need to contact is. If something else happened... it seems the BATFE would want to be all up on this and getting in their business over there.

  14. Never have I understood why murder, and attempted murder, are treated so differently in the eyes of the law. The intent is the exact same in both cases, but it seems we grade on a curve when it comes to sentencing based on the skill of the criminal.

  16. I bought a pre war, heavy frame 22/32 with awesome stag grips for a song. It pays to attend local gun shows.
