  2. Yea, and customers can do the same. But I consider this a losing proposition for them, when people determine that they can deny legally purchased goods and services just because they don't like said services they will vote with their feet. Today, it may be guns, next, what? Alcohol, cigarettes, political contributions???

  3. You guys miss the part about him going to the aid of others? It wasn't luck. The man died while trying to help others. That's a hero.

  4. That does appear to be what the reports are saying.

  5. Try looking at Diamond Naturals Large Breed Puppy. It gets high ratings and it is AAFCO certified for large breeds. It is what .... don't be shocked here .... Our new Rottweiler is on. He will be on it until he is 2 and then we will work him over to Victor like our other dogs. And yes... This makes #12. LOL

  6. Thank you! I feel the same way. I have many friends that I never see. It's not because I am anti-social but because I don't have enough time between work and family. I have a cadre of close friends that I would and have, risked my life for and they did the same for me. I have never done Faceplant, snapback or Twittler. I do "TELEPHONE." and face to face.

  7. I feel exactly the same way. I'm not anti-social....well maybe a little...but my circle of friends has dwindled by choice over the years from a group of friends to a select few very good friends....actual people that can count on each other. The older I get the less time or energy I have to deal with the politically correct soy boy mentality the better. After all...I'm trying to lead a stress free life. My two dogs make me laugh every single day. And while I appreciate the right to carry either open or concealed I feel it's no ones business if I'm carrying or not so I do go the extra mile to keep it that way.

  8. Very good article. BFE, iirc, is Morgan Atwood's company. He frequently collaborates with Ian Wendt who has/had Special Circumstances (knife maker). These are solid, knowledgeable guys that bring a lot to the table of the self defense training community. The article is excellent and is worth reading more than once in my humble opinion. I've carried (legally) concealed for about 30 years now. I'm an old fart, 5'9" and 180 #'s. I'm either in scrubs or wearing a tee shirt and jeans or a short sleeve shirt. I manage to carry a Glock 17 or 19, extra mag, knife, and flashlight. To my knowledge I've never been "made". To Morgan's point, maybe nobody has ever mentioned the fact... but I've been around a metric buttload of cops in social and training environments. And a lot of non-gun folks and even, dare I say it? antigun folks in various situations (NPE) circumstances. Properly fitting clothing and quality gear make all the difference in the world. I'm going to link a vid...I hope...I "borrowed" from P-F posted by Craig Douglas aka "SouthNarc", head of what has become know as the "Shivworks Collective". I know Craig from back home in South MS and was blessed to train a bunch with him before he even started his now very well know ECQC classes. Be warned there is adult language in the vid. This is not a "gear advertisement" vid, though Craig is demonstrating particular gear. And no, that is not Craig's daily rollout of gear...he's making a point...but some very good points imho. The vid is about 20 minutes in length...a small investment in time for the knowledge gained...I promise. I do admit my bias, as I hold Craig in high esteem. https://www.facebook.com/video/embed?video_id=1817757491621065

  10. We (Dogs owners) worry too much. Your dog will eat if she is hungry. If she won’t there is a medical issue and it won’t matter what you are trying to feed her; she will need medical attention. My last Doberman ate well and was also fed scraps. My new puppy will be fed nothing but dry dog food and no people food. I’m using 4Health grain free dry puppy food right now because that is what the breeder was feeding him. When we go to adult food I will reevaluate. But again…barring a medical problem your dog will eat.

  11. I truly miss real local banks. When I was getting towards the end of college my Dad decided I should get a better car because it was likely I would be moving out of state and what I was driving might not make it. He was making the loan to me but had to borrow part of the money to do it. We were walking up town and he saw the bank president across the street, he yelled across the street addressing the pres by his first name and said Jim and I are going car shopping will you cover my check when it clears. Pres says how much my Dad's says around $2000, he said no problem and the loan was made. I'm sure more happened later but not a problem and nothing needed to be done ahead of time. Same car but a year later I'm at my new job and broke, but Winter was coming so I borrowed $100 from the local bank for a month or so till I got caught up with moving expenses. About 2 years go by and I go to the same bank to apply for a mortgage for my first house, I talked to the president of that bank and he said he would drive by the house to see if he thought it was worth what I wanted for a mortgage and I should come back the next week. Came back and he said he didn't get a chance to check it out and asked who the realtor was, I told him and he said good guy he wouldn't cheat you. Then asked if I had ever borrowed money before, I said yes $100 from them. He said did you pay it back and I said yes and I was approved. Ah the simpler times.

  12. https://www.foxbusiness.com/features/credit-service-shuts-down-payments-on-all-gun-purchases Judge Andrew Napolitano on Tuesday told FOX Business Opens a New Window. that credit card processor Intuit Opens a New Window. is within its rights to shut down payments on gun purchases. A number of businesses were recently interrupted, without warning, after the maker of Quicken, QuickBooks and TurboTax, refused to process orders of gun-related sales, according to the New York Post. The paper also reports that Intuit did not return several requests for comment. Napolitano said, generally, customers can’t be refused due to race, age, gender or sexual orientation but can be rejected if they dislike their business. “They can choose their customers, their clients unless that choice is based upon some protected aspects,” Napolitano told Stuart Varney on “Varney & Co. Opens a New Window. ” Even though some of the sales didn’t involve firearms, businesses Opens a New Window. were forced to track down customers who they sold the items to because Intuit credited the money back to their accounts, the Post reported. In Napolitano’s opinion, Intuit made a “terrible business decision.” “They may very well have interfered with their customers’ businesses by not telling them ahead of time,” he added.
