  1. Where is the "sympathy line" for some of you? Two people, whose greatest fault was naivety coupled with idealism, were brutally murdered. They may not have been smart in proceeding as they did, but they certainly did not deserve to be brutally murdered.

  2. Not sure if any is left but Midway has surplus .308 at .58 per round. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/109678/military-surplus-austrian-ammunition-762x51mm-nato-146-grain-full-metal-jacket-battle-packs-of-240-12-boxes-of-20

  3. I just find it difficult to have sympathy for folks like that, when men, women and children are dying over there due to no fault of their own, not to mention our troops that pay the ultimate sacrifice to attempt to bring safety to those regions. Don't get me wrong, I find no joy in their deaths, and do consider their killers the bad actors in this, but just like those idiots that intentionally cross into wild animal enclosures, like the hippo slapper, if they die in the attempt, I'll not shed a tear. Call me cold hearted if you will, but sympathy is hard to come by for those folks.

  4. I’m working tomorrow so no hunting for me. But I may have changed my mind about not going Saturday. I may go out and unless the perfect opportunity arises, I can still film and enjoy being in the woods. I’ve field dressed many deer but never butchered my own and don’t want to mess it up in hot weather. It’s been stressful thinking about what if this happens, what if that happens, and I am probably over thinking it. I don’t want the meat to spoil and I dang sure don’t want to mess up the velvet.

  5. If while playing Russian Roulette somebody puts a gun in their mouth, pulls the trigger, and blows their brains out then I feel no sympathy for them. This is what these people did just in a different manner.

  6. The controls, accuracy, and ergonomics. I've run the G19 for a few years and it's been perfectly fine, but every time I played with the P30 as a rental, there was a noticeable change for the better. It's more comfortable, controls feel more natural, and my groups improve (I get similar results with a 1911 too). The first time I shot one, something kind of clicked. But due to the price and unfamiliarity with DA/SA at the time, I ignored it as a contender. Since then, I've tried various options and have had much more training which has helped surface the attributes I prefer for a defensive/combat pistol.

  7. Score one for PETA. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has gotten Nabisco to change the picture on its animal cracker boxes so the animals appear in an uncaged state. https://www.foxbusiness.com/retail/peta-gets-nabisco-to-free-animals-of-barnums-animals-crackers PETA, which has spent decades protesting the use of animals in circuses, wrote a letter to Nabisco's parent, Mondelez International, asking for the box that contains "Barnum's Animals" to get a new look. “Given the egregious cruelty inherent in circuses that use animals and the public’s swelling opposition to the exploitation of animals used for entertainment, we urge Nabisco to update its packaging in order to show animals who are free to roam in their natural habitats,” PETA said in its letter to Mondelez, according to the New York Post. The company agreed and now the animals appear roaming -- or at least posing -- freely. Read more.

  16. I was simply saying that to "deny sympathy" seems harsh. These were not "bad" people, just people who thought differently than most here, believed the world was a safer place than it is, and although their actions placed them in the situation that killed them, I personally still feel sad for them.

  17. Did they deserve to die? No. Were they temping fate & asking for trouble? Yes. These were grown adults that were posting on social media to get attention. Well, they got it! They wanted to believe the world's a marshmallow, sugarplum place to live & it's clearly not. If you plan to go to one of the most dangerous places in the world & try to pretend it's a park, then bad things are likely to follow. It's not like much of the Middle East is keeping their hatred for the Western world a secret. Play stupid games; win stupid prizes.

  22. Perhaps that's just your perception because few if any bizarre conspiracy theories favored by the far right (including our scuzzball-in-chief), have ever been proven valid by Snopes. Or anyone else. ?? - OS
