We have camped in every TN State Park, that has RV camping in TN, except for 2 around Memphis. Don't have any desire to go to Memphis or that area. Every Park has something unique to that area. TN has a lot to offer out of doors. Get out and enjoy it QuackerSmaker.

Got the lower parts kit with the SBA3 brace for Christmas....Bought the Anderson Lower from Mahoney's yesterday and assembled my first lower last night. The roll pin in the Magpul trigger guard was a bear to get in! In a few more paychecks I am looking at getting a PSA 7.5" 300aac upper for it.

Pretty much everything Ruger makes is tough as nails. Good guns.

I always considered the P series pistols to be great values, just overly big and bulky. Much more of a duty/truck/house gun than a concealed carry piece. Several friends and I had the P85/89s and found them to be utterly reliable with any ammunition we tried in them, even that old hard primer Egyptian machine gun ammo you used to be able to by for $50 or so a thousand. Not many premium named handguns could claim that.

Sounds crazy high to me. I bought an '06 4 door XLT 4x4 with a 6.5' bed for $2700 at a repo auction. It needed a windshield and a set of tires. It has 220k miles.

Same for me. If first meet I usually ask to see drivers license to make sure TN resident.

I like dealing with established members but still meet new members as well. You can usually get a feel for them through a few emails. As long as I don’t get a weird vibe I will deal with new members.

I resolve to really get out and enjoy Tennessee. We love it here. The people here (and on this forum) are fantastic. I need to get way more into the great outdoors. By Spring we may actually be unpacked.....fishin' time. The only things I miss about ILLannoy are a few friends (who are talking about leaving anyway) and a few great restaurants. Happy New Year to all!

What she did was awesome. It goes to show how cowardly these perps are who insist on beating on people smaller and weaker than them. I have been in some really scary situations in my life and I have never peed my pants, lol!! People like the ex are disturbing, especially since I have gone through life as a petite woman and it is not uncommon to have someone bigger and stronger than me think they can lash out at me, push me out of the way or take advantage of me. I do not look forward to looking older, not because I am vain, but because older is yet another category perps think they can take advantage of. I have always said, the gun levels the playing field, old or young, man or woman, big or small.

Get back to structured cardio rehab exercises at Chattanooga Memorial Hospital. Enjoyed them after my triple bypass and they sure make me feel better. Also help in keeping my weight down.

Sorry to hear of her passing, she sounds like a lady I would have enjoyed shooting with. I bet that was a huge step forward for her, to confront her fears the way she did. In my younger days, I moved out young, got my own place, had a decent job, but because I was a young woman living on my own, I had issues with nosy landlords coming into my apartment when I was not home, and a stalker ex-boyfriend or two. Even without a gun, I was determined that I was not going to put up with prolonged harassment. I told the perps I did not believe in restraining orders, that I would handle the situation myself. That was enough to keep them from coming back. A little bit of attitude has gone a long way, lol! I bet if I had a gun at the time, and they had known, they probably would not have attempted to harass me in the first place.

I have a couple of real good resolutions in mind. But I'll get over it.

Interesting. You must look suspicious. My wife always has her bag checked. Last time the security guy found her folding knife and said, "put that in your pocket and I'll act like I didn't see it." I've always walked right through, no questions asked.

She was a wonderful person and had a beautiful soul and it took a little building to get her where she was. I didn't put the part in there about her ex peeing his pants when he saw the gun in her hand pointed directly at him and she was not shakng at all. She told him he had two choices Lay down face first on the floor or get shot. At first he hesitated til she clicked the safety off and he peed his pants while getting on the floor. We got a good laugh out of it but I think it did her the most good to know she didn't have to fear him beating on her any more. I wish I could have had more time with her but GOD had other plans but I was blessed all the time we did have together.
