I think what this whole thing boils down to is that Benchmade is an apolitical company. And their refusal to take a side alienates their customer base. Now, they are trying to do damage control but still without being political. There have been a lot of people that have said that they aren't a gun company so who cares but knives are every bit as much a 2A issue as guns are. These things are deeply interconnected. What affects one will eventually affect the other. If they want to win back their customers, the right thing to do is own the political contributions and be honest about government contracts or pushing bills and then admit that they were wrong about the gun thing. But they won't.

While I'd welcome CC in Tennessee, I still want to keep my HCP, so I can carry outside of the State, while on vacation.

Just thought I would post a picture of my Rescue dog. I kind of think we rescued each other. . I don't know who owned here before but she is very well trained and I began learning this by accident. I was messing with her one day and I said I have to sit down and she sat down. Then I tried lay down and she laid down and I said roll over and she rolled over. She loves to play fetch both on dry ground and at the lake . I sure there are many of you that remmember the story behind my reason for getting her as many many folks here helped me in a time of need when I lost my Kasey and many of yall, contributed to allow me to have Kasey Cremated. At that time in my life I didn't know if I could take care of another dog so I decided to give it some thought. Well the house was empty with out Kasey begging for snacks or wanting to go out so I thought it won't hurt to look at some rescue dogs and I did look at probably 50+ dogs and they were probably all great dogs but I had just not felt it was the right one till one of the girls brought Darby to the visiting room . I knew in about 1 minute that this was the one going home with me . We visited for about 15 minutes and it took a few minutes to get her to more attentive to me and then even show signs of warming up to me . It about 10 minutes she was in my lap and the girls that brought her into the room where satnding behind the glass and 2 of them was crying. I told them to get me a collar for her. She was going home with me and it was only then that I learned she was scheduled to be put down in 3 days. She had been at another rescue center for 6 months before being transfered to this one and she was on her 87th day there and their policy is 90 days if they transfer in from another facility. So she saved me and I saved her. Her bed is a Twin size memory foam Matress and i just added the old comforter and threw Kaseys old one in a box after washing it so it is stored.

Ginger is a rescue. She's small but I wouldn't want to tangle with her if someone came after my wife or myself. Sweetest and most protective dog I've had other than a couple of Malamutes. Kinda scary when she yawns. She truly thinks she's a Doberman.

I just put a Powder River Precision drop in trigger in my XDM and it made one heck of a difference. I need to take it to the range and see how it feels.

I’m probably not going to change your mind, but thought I would offer some perspective from observations in the classifieds. I an astonished at the number of ads that require bills of sale. There is even one that says he will take a picture of my ID if I purchase from him. No. Hell no. If I were to buy from you, we would exchange phone numbers. You would also see my car when we meet and see what I look like. You could write my plate number down and even take a picture if you desired, but I would think that was weird. I would probably also give you my name when we meet. You would have all the personal information you need. What does my signature and any other info do for you to protect you? It’s a rhetorical question Nothing. “But if it’s used in a crime, I will have proof I sold it.” True. That proof, which depending on circumstances, could be used AGAINST you. Saw it happen. Guy bought a gun that had been flipped a bunch on the boards. Beater P226. I saw that gun sold 6-7 times and almost ended up with it myself once. Required a BOS when he eventually sold it. Someone long before him reported it stolen. Current owner got caught and didn’t know. BOS seller and current owner both ended up getting arrested (he also gave a copy to the buyer, if I recall). Story is long and I’m leaving out tons of details, but the BOS was proof he possessed and sold a stolen gun. I’ve had two guns come up in skip traces and had visits from ATF as a result of them getting flipped to someone in California. I didn’t provide names or info of the guys I sold to. I just knew I didn’t have the guns anymore (and so did the ATF, obviously). They made their threats for info and I called their bull####. My only obligation was to not have reasonable suspicion that the buyer wasn’t from AZ and I made everyone I didn’t know do an ID flash (and looked at state of license plate), which was sufficient. Anyhow, if you’re a BOSer, consider getting rid of the BOS requirement. I won’t ever have the pleasure of meeting you otherwise. It’s nice being free and not being required to fill out paperwork to meet someone face to face to exchange money for a tool with a serial number. We have enough BS from our gov’t in this state. We don’t need to impose unnecessary BS on ourselves.

To be exact it is 7.62x54r, light ball steel core. The silver paint also indicates this and the rounds may, or may not have silver tipped (paint) bullets. The ammo was manufactured in 1972 at the Soviet Frunze factory.

My grandpa had a boxer named Chief. A dozen or more grandkids would ride him, pull his ears, tail, feet, tongue and probably a few more body parts. He played football with us. Nobody that didn't know him got out of the car when they drove up. They waited for Pop to come to the car.

Do you have to have a stock? If not, why not use that lower for something else and build an AR Pistol? They are cheap now, and you don’t have to mess with tax stamps.

They destroy drugs because their very existence is illegal, although again, that shouldn't be. They sell off everything else. They don't destroy anything because its a source of revenue for them. Seized property auctions are common and I've attended a few. As for cars, I would prefer that cars never be crushed for any reason. I'd prefer for people to bring them back to life and give them the love they deserve. But that doesnt happen for myriad reasons. So then the cars pile up in junkyards. No-one is going to bring them back. So they are crushed. The big difference between guns and cars is that while people aren't clamoring for that Chrysler K-car, they would line up to buy even the cheapest piece of junk gun to throw in their safe. There is no shortage of buyers. So there is NO reason to destroy a gun, policy or not.

Cutting up guns is legal. So is not buying another Benchmade knife.

Same friend found a Web Site and Facebook for Shultz Precision Machine. Other than what is on the Web Site and Facebook -- I know nothing about Schultz. I would like to visit (supposedly opened a new shop late in 2018). I have not see the shop. I live about a mile from that sign on Boyds Creek and go to Boyds Creek via McClearry frequently and never saw the sign. However, I am always turning at the intersection onto Boyds Creek or off of Boyds Creek and watching traffic (my excuse for not observing the sign). For that, I’d wait until I was going over to Knoxville and take it to @LawEnforcementSalesTN. It’s a job that any competent smith should be able to do, but it’s one that’s easy to screw up, too. Nothing like a baffle strike because some fool threaded it off center.

Found the issue. The old barrel had an oversized gas port. Installed the new barrel today, adjusted the gas block and the ekection is right at the 3:30 position. Thanks for your input everyone.

Both of my dogs are trained by vocal and hand signal. I won't use any other method. Bandit, the older one knows more than 30 commands by vocal and hand signal, all commands are trained by both, and now followed by either. Just make sure you pick simple ones they don't have to be universal from one trainer to the other. The 'okay' sign is sit. 'Stop' is stay. I pat my chin, she barks, I pat my cheek, she kisses me, I pat my hips, she jumps up and hugs me. Doberman, Boxer, Shepherd, Mastiff, Bull Terrier, .... or some mixture thereof. I'd also recommend a rescue. A friend raises/trains Malagators (Malinois) for service and K-9 duty. Properly trained, theyre awesome. All of his I've met are big pussycats until certain words are spoken (not in English) and then it's game on. The transformation is astonishing. But it takes a lot of training to get there.

If your going to hit Buds, you also need to hit Smoky Mtn knife works next door. Their ammo prices are a bit better on some types and I saw the same on their guns for some models. The knife works has expanded their gun area enormously during the last 3 or 4 years.
