  1. Two different discussions here.... 1. Close distance sims rounds hurt. I've done a fair amount of work in the 0-5 foot distance envelope with both airsoft and sims and have been shot with them at contact distance numerous times. It is not fun. But the object of the exercise was not to have fun it was to work on surviving close distance lethal force problems. Should the teachers have been shot with sims rounds ? I can make an argument for it and against it. 2. As to it causing them PTSD? You know part of the problem is that you have liberal teachers and school administrators who have never been in a fist fight trying to have a say in how to STOP KILLERS. "Conflict resolution" only works if there is a "conflict" that can be mediated....an active shooter is not there to negotiate or come to a settlement...he is there to kill. Victory for him is not getting a concession from the other side...it is stacking up corpses. So it might not be a bad idea for those teachers and administrators to be exposed (in a training environment where they will not be actually killed for real) to this level of violence so they will get their minds right as what REALLY will limit body counts in a school shooting event. Capitulation and negotiation and "feeling the misunderstood youth's pain" is not going to stop someone whose goal is to stack up corpses. Only an overwhelming application of lawful moral lethal violence will.

  3. And here it is, in all it's glory! Will shoot it the afternoon, first impressions? The slider is like silk and the grip just feels awesome. They did a good job with this firearm and I am totally a SIG fan boy now. So much so that I want to swap my PPQ (which is outstanding) for a 9mm or .45 Sig. Amazing how the right customer experiencing can change your outlook!

  4. Take a look at GunBroker. You can look at completed auctions and you can look at those that actually sold. Quick glance looks like Around $430-$500 for used. Looks like $635 will buy new, and when they get to about $670; they don’t get any bids.

  5. Let me introduce you to The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF). I think they've done more for the 2nd Amendment in the courts over the last ten (10) or twelve (12) years. The NRA has focused more on the legislative side. https://www.saf.org/ I am a member of NRA and SAF.

  9. Here, I fixed it for you. That's coming from an active lifetime member of the NRA. As someone else mentioned, the SAF is also a much better org to join than the NRA. Unfortunately, the NRA in action only really defends hunting and basic self-defense. They cover modern rifles (AR-15's and any other modern, plastic gun) and take ads in American Rifleman, but I've seen very little practical defense from them in the last 8 years. The same goes for supporting carrying laws. They seem to support more terrible carry laws in TN that don't restore our rights than actually using their might to get things like constitutional carry, or public school carry.

  10. Well no matter what organization, if they do good for our rights we need to support them as best we can. Freedom of speech, 2d Amendment or any other rights we have under our Constitution! From the Founders our rights are GOD given but we have to protect them!

  12. Nothing. You can be a suspicious person that the Police check out with or without a gun. I don’t see where carrying a gun would have much impact unless some other law was being violated or you are a prohibited person. Whether or not you have to ID depends on the laws of the state you are in.

  13. I have a Flat coated Retriever, Rhett, on a farm with my family. He meets all the requirements that you mentioned. The key for us is that dirt and water shed itself off his body which helps us keep the house clean. Just don’t let the Flat coat around anything with feathers. We have a 3 year old and He pretty much has done everything to Rhett that would make a dog want to bite a kid and he hasn’t. Rhett will die to protect pur family and thinks its his job to answer the door and spends most his time staring out the window. He is loyal and senses danger or bad characters and gets pretty scary when someone approaches that isn’t friendly. We’ve had german shepherds and the begians but they killed the sheep and goat. We didn’t work with them enough giving mental and physical training and they got anxious and bored.

  19. My conspiracy theory: The American Cancer Society does not exist to wipe out cancer. The American Heart Association does not exist to cure heart disease. They would be putting themselves out of business. You see where this goes??.....
