  1. AMEN!!!! Krystal is KING! Gotta have a sack of them about every other month. Get a 12 pack, throw out about half the bread and make them doubles...then chow down. Yes I admit I'll regret it about 3 hours later, but darn things are absolutely great going down. And the smell and flavor is tremendous.

  2. I am seriously hungry to throw down on a sackload of Krystal’s right now. Being a Southern boy, I like to bring them home and put on some extra mustard.

  3. I am working on a feature that will allow our members to contribute to a database of Gun Shops, FFL Transfer Agents, Gunsmiths, Shooting Ranges, and Training Providers. You may see bits and pieces of it "leak" ahead of time but you generally won't have access to any of them until it's 100% ready. I hope to finalize it this weekend.

  4. Krystal may have been a knock off but they are far superior to White Castle. I will eat a White Castle in a pinch but Krystal is #1. The mustard is what makes the little burgers so good.

  5. I saw this happen at my old club. They set a 5 gun clay station up to see if there was enough interest to make it a regular event and I went to watch. One of the older members with Parkinson's pretty bad was queued up and I was not sure how that was going to work. His son helped him to each station and his wife acted as shotgun caddie. As soon as he was in position and his wife handed him his gun his shakes went away and he shot as good or better than most everyone competing. As soon as his wife took the shotgun the shakes started again. It was really something to see and you could see by his smile he was having a great time.

  6. They are loving referred to around here as "gut bombs". An apt name of you ask me.

  7. I just did this bout a year ago. I changed my address online. Then I had to apply for a duplicate Handgun Permit online. The duplicate costs $5. They told me on the phone that it is not necessary to change your gun permit address as it has the same number as your drivers license and one is good enough. I changed mine anyway. Took about 1 week to get the duplicate with the new address back.

  9. You can technically even multi-quote between threads using that button. Hit the "+" button on a thread and then either navigate to another thread or refresh a current thread in a different tab/window.

  10. Well, duh, ya know what? I had always just used "quote" not "multiquote" for the last post I wanted to include, which works if all on same page, closes out the quoting and all the ones appear. And I wasn't using the little box that appears at bottom of page. Going across pages, if you hit "quote" for the last one, only the last one shows, but if you "multiquote" for all posts including the last one, then they are all there if you click on the little box at bottom of page. So, I guess this is another Emily Litella moment for moi. Simply use "multiquote" for all of them, and then click on the little box, and spanning pages is not an issue. Thanks for spurring me to look further. - OS

  11. Mayhaps it's time for the Nashville area TGO'ers to do a meet-up at one of the BBQ or Hot Chicken places.

  12. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how good the new Prince’s On Nolensville is. SWJewell and I were there a month or so back - and it was packed for the better part of three hours. They’ve got plenty of seating, and plenty of parking which is underrated and you’ll totally understand once you go to Hattie B’s. Hattie B’s is a great entry point into hot chicken because their sides really make the meal. But they are always crowded. Always. If you go to the one on eighth, and it’s crowded, just do yourself a favor and go to Bolton‘s Hot C hicken and Fish across the street. Their hot fish sandwich is great. Frankly, I’d skip Lower Broadway at large unless you’re going to some particular event. There’s all kinds of great stuff to do without getting wound up in all of that. The Country Music Hall of Fame is great even if you’re not a consumer of country music.

  13. Change the address online through department of safety it’s free. You don’t need another copy unless you just want one. Once you change the address it applies to license and permit.

  16. I’ve noticed. It seems like every thread here from someone moving to the state is someone moving to ET. They’re leaving my little corner alone and I’m perfectly ok with that.

  17. We are getting overloaded in ET...seriously.

  18. Tennessee has no “CCW” so you might want to check with whatever state issues such things.

  25. I love me some White Castle. Always thougth Krystal was a knock-off (which it is). Always had the same view of the Prince Chicken knock-offs, or the Skyline Chili knock-offs. Haven't experienced any of the chicken knock-offs, and trust that they are good. I have eaten tons of Krystal and Gold Star chili. Just like to keep the IP with the ones that brung it. And for those of us that cut their teeth on White Castle.... Mustard? WTF?

  27. I talked to Kimber yesterday and they gave me an RMA to return it. For $170 they will completely tear the gun down, clean it, replace all the springs and fit a new slide for it. I feel like that's a fair price for a gun out of warranty. The nice thing is I was told the gun would have a new warranty after their work is done. They will ship it back for free. The company I work for has a UPS with negotiated, discount rates, and I can get it over nighted cheaper than if I go to UPS. I will ship it Monday and will follow up with the results. Thanks for the feedback.

  29. I missed this before, can't you ship from an FFL holder and get around the next-day air fees? As was mentioned before, I'd definitely try to work them some more to see if they'll cover shipping. Polite but persistent can pay off.

  30. If you have time, take em to the Parthenon and the State Museum. If you have any interest in music, Gruhn's Guitar is an awesome store to visit. Most of it is above my means, but I sure love looking. I think Jack Cawthorn's BBQ on Charlotte Pike is a good restuarant.

  31. My limited experience with gunsmiths is that they typically aren't all that reliable or charge as much or more for less work. I would just send it to Kimber...maybe if you gripe a bit more you can at least get them to get you the UPS or Fedex label included to ship it to them or at the very very least at their cost which should be half of what your paying to ship.
