  1. The advice to say NOTHING is the advice that is given by attorneys who have a lot of experience defending guilty people. Ask Larry Hickey how that turned out for him. While he was invoking his right to remain silent evidence disappeared , was missed at the scene , and he was assumed to have been the aggressor when he was not. Fortunately for him after spending 71 days in jail and the better part of a couple of years in and out of court resulting in 2 hung juries the "victims" (the aggressors who outnumbered him ) who started the fight made a play for a payout from Larry's homeowners insurance and finally had to admit that the shooting took place ON LARRY'S PROPERTY and not in the street as they had claimed and testified to in court. If Larry had mentioned that at the scene then that would have been in the record to begin with and there's a good chance he would not have looked like the guilty party.....but by taking the "I ain't sayin' nothin' without my attorney" stance he got put in the suspect column instead of the victim column. Do what you want. If you are guilty of a crime then the best thing for you to do is DON'T SAY ANYTHING but if you have just legitimately defended yourself or others and you don't give at least a limited statement (limited statement and THEN be quiet) you are making a mistake. You need to make sure that exculpatory evidence and witnesses get put on the record. Also, 911 not only records everything but it STARTS recording as soon as the number is dialed. So keep that in mind as well.

  3. If you want a really exciting way to catch fish and NO boat necessary, look into noodling. Besides, catfish are slightly more prized then carp in this part of the country.

  4. Those are pretty nice versions, I have two also, a 96 and a 38 from the twenties. Extremely accurate, more so than I am myself. They are also matching numbers, to extreme, wood and small parts and so on. Enjoy them, even has American manufactured rounds, I think Remington had a rifle of the year in Swede for M700, I could be wrong.

  7. You didn't ask - but as someone who spends a lot of time fishing skinny water, if I was going to spend $14K on a boat today, it would be like this with some change left over: Gheenoe - 18' Super - $6800 Aluminum Trailer - $1700 Poling Platform - $675 20HP Honda Outboard - $3420 Lowrance Elite 9 TI2 - $799 Total - $13394 You could even add a Power Pole Micro Anchor and still come in under $14K. Want to save a few bucks? Go with the 16' Super and you'll subtract $2200. I would probably save up a few bucks for a nice trolling motor. They've got some amazing ones these days that'll hook straight to the GPS if you like.

  8. TAURUS Rebate of $25 or $30 varies on the Model (color). Typical price on the gun varies from $189.99 up to $209.99. Rural King (RK) is offering it at $179,99 on the all black model (add tax and background in store) and take off the $25 REBATE. NOT BAD for a 12 +1 9MM that I consider a decent gun. Base that on my Millennium G2 bought in 2016 and guess 1000 plus rounds has been reliable and decent shooter for my ability. The G2C is near same gun with one modification (the lock feature has been removed). INFO in case interested --- go to Taurus WEB site for details on REBATE and search for the gun where ever suits you -- RK has advertised the best price as far as I know.

  9. Freaking rabbit hole got me...... I free floated the 223 upper with a $12 eBay M-lok fore end, switched out the scope for a slightly more versatile Barska Euro 30 3-9. Added a cheap drop in trigger which I stripped apart & did a little stone & polish work. Those 2 things alone shrank my group sizes from 4" average to sub 1" I also picked up a real deal on a 300blk upper (sub $200, no bolt or carrier) & installed a Leopold Mk Freedom 1.5-4 (thanks @Wade195) Still working up supersonic loads for that, but it's showing a ton of promise. I'm now running right at $700, for everything! I still consider this to be one of my better bargain buys!

  11. Hi, Ladies! Heads up - We just posted two new ladies-only classes over in the Training forum. Here's a link to the info (posted by @Citizens Safety Academy). Women on Target (Feb. 23) is a fun instructional shooting clinic, and Women's Concealed Carry (May 11) is where we really start working on holster selection and technique. Both are in the Murfreesboro area. There's more info (and lots of photos!) on our website, but if you have any questions, just reply here or shoot me an email - Tiffany@CitizensSafety.com. I hope some of you will join us! Tiffany www.CitizensSafety.com
