  1. So life has been crazy busy this last year with my wife starting her fellowship at Vanderbilt Medical Center and the birth of our first child. What a wirlwind, so I have t been near as active here, but through all that my wife passed her board certification and is now a Board Certified Pathologist. She interviewed and has a contract with a physician group in Knoxville. Those of you that know me know we lived in Knoxville for many years, and as we have loved the past few years in Nashville we are excited to be heading back. We have a contract pending on our house here and currently searching on Knoxville. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we embark on yet another adventure and look forward to being an East Tennesean again.

  2. Here's a tip. Place a backup offsite (mom's/friend's/brother's house or office) in case of theft/fire/etc.

  3. Ok first off thank everyone for their opinions and ideas. They are very appreciated. Here is what I ended up doing. I have a grandson that is a trouble shooter for Verizon and has been for several years. He is a computer Geek for sure and if it anything to do with phones or computers he can fix it. I caught him on one of his few days off and had him come buy. Told him my concernes before he came. He said he uses Bitdefender which is the same company Verizon uses so he installed it on my Samsung 7 Smart Phone, my laptop computer and my desk top. Cost $82.00 for up to 5 devices and that is for 2 years. He said since I only had 3 devices he was going to split the cost with me and use the service on 2 of his devices so we would get our moneys worth from the service. After he downloaded and installed it he did total scans on all of my devices and now I am fully protected for 2 years anyway. As for a back up, he brought me a brand new external 500GB Hard drive and down loaded everything I wanted to back up and he said there is enough space left on it I should be able to store anything I want to store in the future. So that is where I am at with that. I feel much better knowing my devices are now protected and I have everything I wanted to save backed up.

  8. That's great news! Congratulations to your wife. I'm certain she has worked very, very hard to achieve this. Not saying you haven't as well. lol Raising a child and working while your wife did all her certification training is quite an accomplishment for you both. I would wish you luck...but luck is for those who don't work and preserver in life. You two will be successful, no doubt about it at all. Your return to K'town, and the next phase of your lives will be awesome! Prayers and Blessings upon you.

  11. 1911's are addictive. I also have a Sig 1911-22 model. Never have too many 1911's!

  12. I haven’t shared anything in a while and I figure some of you might enjoy these photos of a couple somewhat recent additions, a pair of Swedish M38s. Both are all matching and function extremely well, which I suppose fits with their reputation. I recommend a Swedish Mauser to any surplus shooter/collector. First the older...
