  2. Picked this one up yesterday to replace the ECO I parted with to help fund a motorcycle purchase. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but hopefully soon!

  3. This is just a big guess on my part but I think that this is more than just what they said in the article. I think that this is a Firearms Freedom Act case. I think the purchase and sale was legal at the state level but still federally illegal. Kansas passed their FFA in 2013 and this case dates to 2014 so I believe that they are related.

  4. I double check all of my doors before going to bed to make sure they are locked and dead bolted. Windows have never been unlocked since I have lived here almost 20 years. I did add wooden doll rods to each window track so it won't slide upward. If anyone gets in my house they will have to break something to get in period. One simple kick on my doors won't get it done I have the security dead bolts that go through the door frame and into the wood the door frame is mounted to. If they do get inside they will still be inside when the police arrive. Most likely bleeding and maybe not breathing but that will be entirely their drcision. Will just depend on how stupid they really are!!!

  5. If he’s in my house uninvited then there is no question about his intentions. They’d have carried him out in a body bag if it was my house.

  6. It’s a shame people feel they keep having to question the legality of killing someone that is committing a criminal act putting them in danger. Hopefully some day that will change.

  7. Is that supposed to be unusual?

  8. All I can say is that if someone that I don't know comes into my house uninvited they will develop an acute case of lead poisoning unless they've identified themselves as police. I don't care if/what they have in their hands.

  9. The early Ithaca guns with integral barrel front sight base & splinter forends remind me of the C3 Corvette I never bought..... Sleek, yet beefy where it should be. Am I alone in seeing this?

  10. Krunchnik, im southern born but the offspring of a mother from Ohio and a Father from Pennsylvania. I think it’s ok for me to make a statement like that if my parents are ok with it. LOL.

  11. I burned my Yankee card the first week I was here. I asked a fellow that was delivering some lumber at our house how long I had to wait to start complaining about the Yankees and he asked if I had my TN drivers license and I said yes and he said feel free to start complaining. Amanda/Jeremy if you're checking out your options feel free to ask questions, we are mostly friendly. If you have already jumped in to TN, welcome to the United States.

  12. It has arrived! Shooter condition. Bluing on barrel is like new except for wear at muzzle and a few surface scratches. Receiver is worn, has a great patina from 60 years of handling, and bluing fades back in about 1/2 of the way up and over the top. I think the case hardening pattern in the lever is beautiful. Leupold VX2 - 7 x 33 with fancy flip caps, oh so clear and non distorted. Cheek weld is fine at 2, when I start zooming, I have to move my head a bit. Inspecting the innards through the ejection port, I think this rifle has a low round count - not much if any visible wear including the breech face. The action is smooth and it does satisfy my desire for a level gun. I think the trigger is fine, when I shoot I'll figure out if it is good. The actual trigger itself is wide, serrated, and smooth with virtually no take up and clean break. .300 Savage has an interesting history as does the 99, which is also appealing to my ecletic sensibilities. I do have both the ladder and rear peep sights as well.
