  1. Thanks for all comments. I wound up at $400 by telling him that I would continue with the price he has been paying. I also told him he can be there until at least the end of 2021. If I want to stop leasing I will give him at least a year's notice.

  2. I don't can, I normally just vacuum seal my peppers and freeze them, they seem to keep just fine. I may get into it later, if I can get my tomatoes to give me a large harvest, right now I just share with friends and make a whole bunch of salsa. I have a rain barrel system out on my hunting property, three 55gl blue barrels with overflow. At home I don't mind using the hose, its just that much of the water would water the neighbors grass using a sprinkler. The soaker hose puts it right on the garden, which is the only thing that needs extra water, I can't remember the last time I watered the grass.

  3. Beauty is subjective. And I think its beautiful. If nothing else, just for what it represents. Nothing like it would ever be built today.

  5. There would be zero doubt about what I am going to do if someone is in my house uninvited that should not be there. He will get shot until he is no longer a threat and anyone with him will also be shot until they are no longer a threat unless they are heading for an exit. I won't back shoot any one leaving because they have made the decision to end the threat on their own and the police will already be in route so they will probably catch the other guy fairly fast. That is not to say they may be bleeding cause I will shoot them all as long as they are facing me and a threat. I do have extended magazines with lots of rounds.

  6. As in all situations like this it’s always best to keep up with news sources local to the event. The latest: https://wreg.com/2019/06/13/official-warrant-for-man-shot-by-marshals-related-to-shooting-in-hernando/

  7. MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Brandon Webber was wanted on multiple felony warrants out of Mississippi when he died Wednesday. District Attorney John Champion, of the 17th Circuit Court of Mississippi, says Webber was suspected of shooting a DeSoto County man five times when he met the man to buy a car. Speaking at a news conference Thursday, Champion said Webber met the victim in Hernando earlier this month. He test drove the victim’s vehicle, got out and shot the victim “in cold blood.” Webber then took off in the victim’s car. The victim, who is still in the hospital, picked Webber out of a photo lineup. A second suspect in that shooting is still at large. Champion says the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force was responsible for taking Webber into custody. He also says the car Webber was driving when he encountered marshals Wednesday was the earlier victim’s car. https://www.wmcactionnews5.com/2019/06/13/prosecutor-says-man-killed-by-marshals-was-suspect-desoto-county-shooting/

  9. Yes...beauty is subjective. And in the eye of the beholder. lol I won't deny the vehicle has a certain "quality and quirkiness, even an opulent utilitarianism" about it. A vehicle built of desires and "requirements" far beyond the norm. It is quite a unique vehicle and certainly part of the history and mystique of The King Ranch.

  11. No-one said that. You are inferring something which was not implied.

  13. I seen some raised garden kits for sale on Craigslist, from a company, and decided to give them a try. Now I see that Home Depot, has the connectors to use with wood. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Oldcastle-7-5-in-x-7-5-in-x-5-5-in-Tan-Brown-Planter-Wall-Block-16202336/206501693 Mine are cement, but the "boards" are kind of fragile, I've already broke a couple. I chose this spot because it's the only decent spot in the yard, sun wise. I use garden fabric to keep the weeds at bay. I still have to weed in between, so I bought a stirrup hoe at the PX for less than $20 which works great for that. Once the tomatoes get taller, I cage them, but next year I'm considering using the yoyo and string method. https://www.amazon.com/VIVOSUN-Retractable-Stopper-Support-Hydroponics/dp/B07GNHQQD9 I ran electric fence, not energized yet, for the rabbits and these guys. I ran one last year and it worked good, but my energizer went bad so had to get a new one. Last year we had some dry spells, and the sprinkler wasted too much water, so this year I hot a cheap soaker hose at harbor freight. I ran it in a zigzag pattern because running it down the furrows didn't water evenly. Last year I had a huge hot pepper harvest, so this year I kind of overdid the tomatoes, but I also planted more cucumbers and some sweet potatoes and a few peppers again. I have some asparagus in containers, but need to read up on them, I don't want them taking over the garden.

  16. This gun is the same thing as the Sarsilmaz SAR-9, a Turkish pistol that's been out about two years. Stoeger is just putting their name on it. The gun handles great, and seems accurate in offhand shooting. But it has without doubt the worst trigger I've ever seen in a striker-fired pistol. My brother bought two samples -- one stainless, one blue -- and both suffered from this problem. The trigger on the stainless one locked in the rear position and wouldn't return forward, so that gun's been sent back to the manufacturer for repair. The blued one hasn't done that yet, but I'm expecting it will. There really isn't a good way to convey how bad the trigger is -- a long, rough pull with many hitches along the way until it finally breaks. You'd have to feel it yourself to appreciate its wretchedness. But if the trigger problems can be fixed, it's a gun with possibilities.

  18. Good. Maybe we can get one of those pro-gun democrats elected. And maybe they will change the minds of a bunch of democrats in congress. Maybe we can get that gun-hating Trump out and replace him with a gun loving President that will get 2nd amendment rights recognized for all.

  20. I wonder if that plate is original to the photo? It's at an odd angle, and seems a little brighter/ crisper than its surroundings. Plus, shouldn't those guys be wearing jean jackets?
