  2. I quit buying Remington 9 mm a long while ago. Wouldn't cycle my hi powers or walthers correctly. Crap ammo in my opinion.

  3. Isn't there a joke about that? Something something... Sawmill up front, Damascus in the rear?? Grand Torino, would you say this is how your sawmill blades still look? I thought they'd be darker based on the recent threads you've posted.

  4. I think I saw a news story recently where the CPD had a spot advertised to do FTF transactions. A quick search turned this up. https://wdef.com/2018/11/13/chattanooga-police-set-safe-exchange-zone/

  6. These same politicians will never be honest enough to tell anyone that in Europe it is much easier to get a silencer/suppressor than it is in the US. Even in the UK where it is somewhat difficult to purchase a firearm you can easily purchase a suppressor. So much so that a Murfreesboro man named Paul Gratton bought SIX of them while on a trip to the UK and brought them home. Of course he also got convicted and went to jail for possession of unregistered suppressors......but the point is that he was able to purchase 6 silencers at retail in Great Britain while on vacation. That douchebag Menendez (who is as crooked as a dog's hind leg and just missed going to jail for bribery last year when a mistrial was declared in his case ) will never admit that there are over a million NFA registered suppressors in the hands of law abiding folks and that NFA registered suppressors are used less in crimes than steak knives or rocks.....

  7. $69.99 at Midway. A friend just bought one, along with a 10/22 as a birthday gift for her husband. I had a hand in that...

  9. When all seems lost, praise God. A series of coincidences stemming from a radio preacher I heard Saturday morning on the way to gun class. Basically, he told me when I am in in those troughs and less guarded against Satan and all of his works, succeptible to the glamour and temptation of sin, or at the very least, bitching about my current lot in life. He shared a story of a preacher who visited a severely physically handicapped girl, who was reported to be a radiant beacon of light. When the preacher met her, he discovered the device used to strap her deformed body to resembled a coffin. He asked her how she was able to be so cheerful, to which she responded, "At night when I wake up, I see the stars are they are my blessings, one is for Mother, one is for Brother, one is for Father...but Pastor, I still have stars but have run out of blessings." Perhaps an illustration of all that is seen and unseen? Those blessings that I am totally aware of? Shared this story when I got home; praise God that I have both feet on the ground, that I have a beautiful and supportive wife, roof over my head, food in the fridge, clothes on my back, decent income and a job, son just got promoted at work, I found an amazing support group on TGO, the peace of knowing Christ and certainty of eternal life Later that evening, my wife received a call from a friend, close but no longer local and infrequent contact. She told my wife what a difference she made and continues to make in her life. I think and discussed with my wife; all those things you did without strings attached, all those years ago, the blessing from the Lord is the knowledge that you did make a difference in someone's life. Praise God!

  11. We've used an RV cleaning brush and soap on vinyl siding with a power washer. Works pretty well. Soak/ soap, brush the bad spots, rinse.

  15. @maroonandwhite Vermiculite is a water holder if you need something to dress in immediately. Available at big box home improvement stores and some nurseries. Peat tends to run off water when it's dry (seems a bit hydrophobic). Once wetted it will wick. You may try a surfactant (a 'water wetter') to help it absorb rather than run off (if you are having that issue).

  16. I haven't had a chance to get on since I've built the beds. I ended up going with 2x6's double stacked. We have a few tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, squash and peppers planted. Only problem I've had so far is the soil. We purchased some type of "pro mix" along with some Pete moss and compost in bags to mix in. It drains very well, almost too well, so has to be watered at least 1-2 times a day. I've been told next year it should settle in and hold water a little better. The weeds are at a minimum though and will be pulled tonight. I've already got a few bell peppers coming in. I'll add pics once I figure out where and how to host them.
