  1. Maybe the aunt should have spent more time making sure her nephews didn't grow up to be feral humans. If 3 armed and masked dudes broke into her house how would she react? You know why I (and the OVERWHELMING majority of folks) have never been shot while breaking into a house? I don't break into houses. Play stupid games...win stupid prizes. I'm sorry but I just really don't have much sympathy for people who plan to rob and kill people. On a side note...so much for bad things only happening in "bad" neighborhoods.

  2. Basically WRONG as usual by the press. "Stand your ground" basically relieves one of the duty to retreat, or as Branca would explain the element of avoidance. One's defense of habitation, which I presume would be the home would come under the castle doctrine. The home would be highly defensible property, but that's about the limit of property protection. The simple fact that they were assaulted by a group, armed no less, and shots fired would seem to make this an open and shut case of self-defense, justifiable homicide IMO, barring any other circumstances. https://lawofselfdefense.com/final-score-homeowner-3-armed-robbers-0/

  3. Direct link to the Firearms Policy Coalition's brief on this matter... VERY much worth reading. https://d3n8a8pro7vhmx.cloudfront.net/firearmspolicycoalition/pages/5388/attachments/original/1568847447/2019-9-18-fpc-policy-memo-fed-idea-doc.pdf?1568847447

  5. I very much disagree. TGO isn't selling firearms. All we are doing is connecting people with each other, and the transactions of personally owned items that occur between individuals aren't commercial sales. If the government decides that an individual can no longer sell their privately owned firearm to a person other than a family member without it going through a background check, then the government has essentially made a step toward firearms becoming non-transferrable items which is a step toward banning them entirely. You folks need to be thinking about that pretty hard and burning up your representatives' phone lines when the sun rises Thursday.

  6. This is suppose to be Calamity at a younger age. If it is really her she did look a lot better then. Bad trigger safety though.

  9. According to the article this came directly from the White House. Can't wait for the Trump apologists to blame this on anyone but Trump, just like the bump stock ban.

  10. Rimmed cartridges feed fine, as proven by the 303 Savage, 22HP, and the ever popular 30-30. Winchester did chamber the model 65 lever rifle in 218 Bee, which is more or less an improved 22 Hornet. That is as close as you’re going to get unless you have access to a machine shop.

  11. All hail Browning. Lol. I sometimes wonder if we have stifled things so much that people like Browning, Einstein, and Darwin would have never existed in today's environment.

  12. Thanks KahrMan, but I really would like to locate one locally. I like to hold the gun in my hands before I lay down my hard earned cash. I have only bought one used gun sight unseen and it turned out ok... but don't want to push my luck.

  23. Sometimes the NRA calls me to ask about what their "priorities" should be, then they ask for money (I am not a member). For about two years now I've simply been politely telling the nice person on the phone I will donate to and support the NRA when they become a pro-gun organization again, until then I will be supporting the GOA. They simply tell me that's not on the list of acceptable responses, apologize, and then essentially hang the phone up.
