  1. I imagine its like anything, once you've run encountered a problem or look for supporting intergoogle results (hate can be found for any gun), its not unusual to then see an even wider net cast as irrefutable fact. In doing so, typically folks look past others reporting different experience or the intergoogling results which are contradictory. Beauty is we are free to evaluate all the facts we choose to, or our own experiences. I find it interesting that many PD's use (or used) XD/XDMs with high round counts in service and during trials without reporting abnormal failure rates. Same for some gun ranges. I have to think there is something in the works here around sample size. I am glad to say with thousands of rounds thru a combination of M1A, 1911, EMP, and 2 XDM's, I can not corroborate that Springfield labeled guns are guaranteed to have catastrophic failure at low round count. Perhaps I am doing something very wrong? In the meantime, I will carry on enjoying the multiple flavors of Koolaid I have been for years

  2. As much as I trusted him the first time around; but I sure ain't going to vote against him, which I would be if I didn't vote for him. The bumpstock issue sucked, and it isn't over yet apparently, but I am sure glad he hasn't actively gone anti-gun, because he has pretty much accomplished most of what he has set out to do. While the Dems, if they win, would probably not pass much, like Obama, I don't want to keep looking over my shoulder each time they are in session.

  3. Do you trust Trump with your guns? Especially in a second term. Just askin......

  4. Not signing is not a veto. And you think a democrat from New York won't sign anti gun bills? Trump has already shown he doesn't care about guns. His actions on this are certainly no guarantee.

  5. You know, if they want to buy my Palmetto State AR they need to let me set the price. But, seriously, there is no way this gets through the Senate. Just more Dem stupidity, giving the conservative base more reason to get to the polls. It almost seems like they want to lose, you'd think there is an inside conservative minded Dem group feeding them bad advice on purpose.

  7. That’s cool. I have blind faith in no man; I’m a realist. Doing what I have to do to protect my (and everyone else’s) God given right of self-defense is my moral obligation.

  9. I didn't say that I would do nothing. And because of the current situation, I won't say what I really want in a public forum, but let them pass it. Not throwing in the towel. And I will never vote for Cohen.

  10. Slightly off track, but your "multiple flavors" comment has me wondering just how many different countries/nations are represented by my meager collection. I'll be wanting to find out now, and that means I now have another good reason for a new inventory. lol Off the top of my head, I can think of10...Turkey, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Belgium, Germany, Japan, Checkoslovkia, a few I'll just lump into "Russian", and of course, USA.

  11. Come on, Cap, you can do better than that. Hang in there. Wearing us down is their only path to success. If even half of American gun owners would stand up and say "No you won't," all the congresscreatures pushing this nonsense would slither back under their rocks. “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”― Edmund Burke

  12. I've been neglecting fishing for far too long. Decided to get serious about striper. This is my third morning out this week. It's been a good week other than my pole breaking on Monday. I've been able to boat a fish everyday I've been out this week. These things are so much fun! (Been having issues for a while posting from imgur, can't ever get the pic to imbed, but here is the link) https://imgur.com/gallery/AuizNql

  13. A little something different to share with you guys. It’s a neat letter opener out of some beautiful Alabama Damascus and some Spalted wood! I may start taking orders for more of these! Check it out! https://imgur.com/a/p3WjeSD https://imgur.com/a/EVjb1VH https://imgur.com/a/1LTUGBk

  14. The most difficult part of striper fishing is locating them. Think about where their food sources are. Sonar is invaluable. I use live shad, the bigger the better. I run about 7 ft of leader with 3oz of weight above the leader, give or take for current and put my bait about 15 ft down.

  24. They do make some good guns, but the XD isn’t one of them; never was. That’s why I wondered where this gun was made, or if they are making it. Springfield Armory was never anything but the importer of the XD, made by HS Produkt in Croatia. They do however make some 1911’s and the M1A. Springfield Armory was one of the most famous arsenals’ in this country's history. The company using the name now has zero to do with that famous armory.

  27. Thanks KahrMan, but I really would like to locate one locally. I like to hold the gun in my hands before I lay down my hard earned cash. I have only bought one used gun sight unseen and it turned out ok... but don't want to push my luck.
