  1. I'm a crazy dog guy so the ad from the owner of WeatherTech as a thank you for saving his dogs life is pretty awesome to me. He paid 6 million dollars to bring attention to the Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine which treated him and is doing great things for cancer treatment in animals. I bought WeatherTech products before but will do so again to support them.

  2. I want to take a minute to thank each and everyone that contributed to my GFM account and also sent funds not on the GFM account. It has been a tough road but we are on our way to getting him enough tools that he can begin looking for work again thanks to the help from all the folks here. I can't thank you all enough!! 3. It's a bit of shade at gun owners, but some of you have to admit, this would be a fun way to handle Bloomberg ads.

  4. While I can appreciate the intent of not wanting to give everything to the internet, the fact is, that ship has sailed. While I do believe in many cases, and certainly even in this case, they will use the data to profile you, I also don't immediately dismiss the result of the process as all bad. Yes, one could take out a camera and take pictures, send them to be printed, etc, and then write notes of them, etc, however.... In this day and age, even our older parents and grandparents are using technology they never dreamed of. They are taking pictures on their phone and it is automatically uploaded to the internet, etc. The fact is the simplest, and I would argue even best, way for memories to be archived is "in their own voice and words". What easier way to do that than simply talking, something anyone can do at any age. Imagine if you had the forethought to have a voice recorder when you were a kid and were talking to your grandparents and them telling you stories. Now think of that recording being able to automatically link together with pictures and memories that you would then have access to 20, 30, 40, 50 years later. I think most would take that without a second thought. I can be, and am becoming more so, cantankerous to many things including many technical things (especially social media), but this is one I can see value in, especially as I get older.

  6. If I was running church security I would be very concerned with ease of access. "Non Traditional" holster setups like these shirts seem to be slow and cumbersome on the draw. If comfort is your concern it doesn't get better than OWB with a jacket

  8. My 89 year old Father is headed that way now. Mom can still use technology. They are 400 miles from me and 1000 miles from my sister. Technology helps us do a lot for them. Thanks to companies like Microsoft, Google, and Amazon. I don’t have to agree with their policies to thank them for the opportunities they have provided to many.

  9. We all know as firearm owners we have to keep our firearms safe from theft and misuse. if you have ever thought about wanting to keep a long gun in the vehicle it can get very pricey to keep a shot gun or rifle secure and safe from theft. You can spend any where from $200.00 and up on a locking rack. Here is the one I built, hand cuffs for $25.00, steal for $15.00 and my time, priceless!!! Cut the cuffs in half, a few welds, grinding, paint and done. The rod that goes into the barrel is steal welded to the end piece. Covered in copper tube to protect the inside of the barrel. A piece of nylon bushing to protect the end of the barrel. The way I mounted in the truck is for latter.

  10. Seems like 2020 may be the year of the RMR. Seeing a lot of new guns pre-milled. Never been a RMR guy but this may create an interest now that I won’t need to get it milled and recoated. Just curious if RMRs are all standardized hole patterns and footprints though...

  11. Hey guys, Don't really post much on here but do visit just about every day. Wanted to share some of the work I've done to a Gen3 26. Not sure how everyone feels about the stippling but I'm real happy with it. Pretty new to this polymer "enhancement" stuff so feedback is welcome. (only my 3rd attempt) Planning to add some durakote "dark bronze" here pretty soon but here are a few pics in the meantime.

  12. I can carry a CZ 75B with a suit or sport coat at 830/9 (left handed) and it is virtually undetectable. Goodrich and Gould black leather belt is as dressy as any, it's thick, so be aware of belt loops, they ain't spec'd

  13. My guess is that you're using the wrong holster. And the dress belt is completely wrong. A proper concealment holster and a good gun belt to support it can make even large guns disappear.

  14. I'll admit that I'm bragging here a bit. But I'm happy about this buy. I've never even bought two guns in the same day, much less three. But I did just that today. It all started with some ads on Armslist. The guy listed each gun individually, but then there was a 4th ad for them as a group. I contacted him, we haggled and I believe I got a great deal. All three are Berettas. a 2016 85FS Cheetah .380, a 2001 3032 Tomcat .32acp and a 950BS Jetfire .25acp. All three are LNIB with original manuals. Not a mark on any of them. I can't seem to find a date for the Jetfire. No date code on the gun that I can find and the serial # doesn't come up on any list. The guy said it was an antique. Can anybody help with that? I'll probably have to contact Beretta. The best part? I gave $1000 for the lot. I'm tickled plumb to pieces!

  16. Before I moved to TN, I lived a couple miles from AIM Surplus. The guns they sell are usually pretty close to the condition described, though many times they are better. Some of the other surplus companies tend to ship out whatever they lay their hands on, regardless of what grade it is supposed to be. One of the last guns I picked up from them before I moved was a S&W 6906 in very good condition. It is a great shooter. Magazines are a little harder to find than the full size S&W Gen 3 autos though.

  19. Yes, simply switch to 4-5 position. Re-check in mirror. Big difference. Another benefit is that it appears that you are retrieving your wallet when presenting firearm from 4-5.

  29. Ok a few things. The short shells are sending lead down at the same speed as full size shells (1200fps). They have the same power per ball. They also should produce the same amount of gas that powered a semi auto shotgun. The feeding issue is the length of the shell itself. The chamber is not designed to properly guide and feed the shorter shells. For home defense I would feel comfortable using them as they are equally powerful but only in a break action gun. I would not risk a jamb when I needed a second shot. As for your recoil concerns: A 20 gauge shotgun often come in a smaller size frame. If it weighs less then the 12 gauge frame there is no less recoil. A 410 is an excellent option provided she can shoot it accurately. It fires 000 buck and slugs at 1200 FPS making it equally as affective per Equally sized projectile, just often there are less or they are slightly smaller .. smaller is relational, keep in mind a 410 slug is the same size as a 45 caliber handgun. Rossi makes a revolver action carbine that can be loaded with 410 shells or 45 long colt pistol rounds. Very little recoil and as the 45 rounds are only pushing 950 FPS it also is quite. This is nice for helping someone who has not grown up shooting to feel comfortable as they learn and practice. keep in mind..... because I am skilled, trained, and firearms are second nature for me,I am just as secure protecting myself with a 22 rim fire as a 12 gauge shotgun... being trained and confident always out weighs size of your gun
