  1. That applies to every president, not just him.

  2. I finally took the time and ordered a belt from Beltman. All I can say is why did it take me this long? I thought I had a decent belt for carrying. Oh my what a difference. The belt is fantastic but the customer service was impeccable as well. David called the next morning after I ordered the night before to verify the length etc. Was shipped out that day. I can't say enough good about the belt and my experience.

  3. The dangerous people already carry illegally, honorable people already have a permit to carry and do so, the others are victims/cannon fodder and don’t care. nothing changes, only easier for the law abiding which is a good thing

  4. Back in April 2019, I listed my NIB M4A1 Socom. They were popular, and small batch though they would continue to make them per the word at the time. It sold relatively quickly. https://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/110821-nib-colt-m4a1-socom-property-of-us-marked-collectible/ On occasion, I would have folks reach out (it was cross posted) to ask if I still had it. I had such a contact yesterday after a couple most last week. Odd as I had in the text it was sold but so much more than before. I deleted it yesterday, but noticed 2 listed that were (what I considered) insane prices. Like post Newton hoarding prices. Now I checked prices in October 19 after Colts Sept announcement, it was a marginal blip at best, so wrote that off concern about not having held it as it seemed a non event as their wording implies they may resume commercial production. But with the emails, I checked gunbroker....they are selling the NIB (and some questionable at that) for $2500 plus!!! Far more than mine for just 6 months prior without an active ban scare. The extended Colt absence seems to be creating a demand which had really ratcheted up in the last month for sought after models even though there is an AR glut and others are at all time lows. If you've got some Pony black guns....and are waiting for a frenzy, this may be your time to look at the market. No guarantee they wont start production if Biden looses, not to mention AR prices will continue to tank for the next 4 to 5 years should Trump stay in place.

  5. You are so right Pop Pop. The police cars may have Serve and Protect on them, but those guns they have are to keep their A$$es safe. If the deputy was sitting at the county courthouse with his car running it would take him a minimum of 30 minutes to get to my house. A .40 cal bullet travels about 1100 feet per second. You do the math. They may come to my house after the fact and draw a chalkline around my body and put police keep out tape around the scene, but they can't protect me and my family unless they plan on living with us 24/7. It is each of our duty to protect our Castle.

  6. Most new shooters I meet have no idea which eye is their dominant eye. I suspect most people in general do not know which eye is dominant. This is most likely due to them having never had a reason to know it. For a shooter eye dominance is an important thing. I have always used the Miles or Porta Tests to determine eye dominance but whenever I have a paper towel roll handy, it has become my preferred method. Keeps me form having to make sure they hold their hands correctly.

  7. Don’t try to go anywhere around Nashville on Friday. I know all the presidents do this, and they think its expected of them, to show respect for those affected. But all it does is shut down traffic and hamper those trying to get things restored. President Trump, please send one of your representatives that they don’t have to shut the whole city down for and just send your respects on FOX news. I bet everyone regardless of party affiliation in the area would appreciate it.

  8. From my favorite T shirt company, I do not have any connection with this company, just buy shirts from them. When I saw this I just had to share. https://www.ninelineapparel.com/collections/tennessee-strong/american-made In the early morning hours of March 3rd one of our sister states, Tennessee, experienced a period of devastating wrath from Mother Nature, taking many lives. A tornado suddenly ripped through several counties leaving unfortunate distress in its wake - Putnam County Tennessee taking the absolute worst of the storm. Weakened but not alone, Tennessee finds strength through the efforts of its American people, such as organizations like The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee and The Putnam County Rescue Squad who leap to aid with no questions asked. Both are non-profit organizations responding in times of disaster with the Putnam County Rescue Squad serving its people since 1952. Being the most affected, Putnam’s Rescue Squad is helping the affected citizens with search and rescue efforts including immediate disaster relief for the families of the fallen and we thank them. PAll members of the squad are volunteers and they depend on donations to purchase lifesaving equipment and assist victims of the disaster. Nine Line will donate ALL of the proceeds from this design to the Putnam County Rescue Squad AND The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. Forgot to add mine is on order!

  9. I heard that yesterday Hobby Lobby was a staging area for workers to help in cleanup and 15,000 people showed up. Tragedies like this bring out the best in people.

  10. Well said and plus 1! Hoping it passes. Notice received today that bill is in Senate hearing. Sent an email to members urging to support. IMO with the nation wide all out assault on the 2nd Amendment going on at local, state and federal levels it will be great for Tennessee to strengthen it's law abiding citizens 2nd Amendment rights instead of doing nothing and standing pat. We are fortunate at this point that Virginia did not totally fall with the postponement of it's assault weapon ban legislation. Elections have consequences and now the gun owners of TN can win one and take advantage of having elected a majority of pro 2nd Amendment representatives.

  13. Tensions ran high in Boston in early 1770. More than 2,000 British soldiers occupied the city of 16,000 colonists and tried to enforce Britain’s tax laws, like the Stamp Act and Townshend Acts. American colonists rebelled against the taxes they found repressive, rallying around the cry, “no taxation without representation.” Skirmishes between colonists and soldiers—and between patriot colonists and colonists loyal to Britain (loyalists)—were increasingly common. To protest taxes, patriots often vandalized stores selling British goods and intimidated store merchants and their customers. On February 22, a mob of patriots attacked a known loyalist’s store. Customs officer Ebenezer Richardson lived near the store and tried to break up the rock-pelting crowd by firing his gun through the window of his home. His gunfire struck and killed an 11-year-old boy named Christopher Seider and further enraged the patriots. Several days later, a fight broke out between local workers and British soldiers. It ended without serious bloodshed but helped set the stage for the bloody incident yet to come. On the frigid, snowy evening of March 5, 1770, Private Hugh White was the only soldier guarding the King’s money stored inside the Custom House on King Street. It wasn’t long before angry colonists joined him and insulted him and threatened violence. At some point, White fought back and struck a colonist with his bayonet. In retaliation, the colonists pelted him with snowballs, ice and stones. Bells started ringing throughout the town—usually a warning of fire—sending a mass of male colonists into the streets. As the assault on White continued, he eventually fell and called for reinforcements. In response to White’s plea and fearing mass riots and the loss of the King’s money, Captain Thomas Preston arrived on the scene with several soldiers and took up a defensive position in front of the Custom House. Worried that bloodshed was inevitable, some colonists reportedly pleaded with the soldiers to hold their fire as others dared them to shoot. Preston later reported a colonist told him the protestors planned to “carry off [White] from his post and probably murder him.” The violence escalated, and the colonists struck the soldiers with clubs and sticks. Reports differ of exactly what happened next, but after someone supposedly said the word “fire,” a soldier fired his gun, although it’s unclear if the discharge was intentional. Once the first shot rang out, other soldiers opened fire, killing five colonists–including Crispus Attucks, a local dockworker of mixed racial heritage–and wounding six. Among the other casualties of the Boston Massacre was Samuel Gray, a rope maker who was left with a hole the size of a fist in his head. Sailor James Caldwell was hit twice before dying, and Samuel Maverick and Patrick Carr were mortally wounded. Read more. https://www.history.com/topics/american-revolution/boston-massacre

  14. Exactly. I’ll add this… I put zero importance on how any of this impacts my ability to carry in another state…zero. I in no way support any kind of federal carry permits, or allowing the Feds to place their heavy hand in our gun laws. Reciprocity between two states needs to be just that.

  15. One of the first classes I taught for Suarez Int back in like 2006 I had a guy who came to class at the recommendation of one of his friends. He told me at the beginning of class that he had shot his whole life (in his 40s at the time) and was not very good and that he didn't really expect to be able to get much better and he was pretty well resigned to that fate. But his friend said he should really come to this class so he did. I thought that just sounded kind of sad but I told him I'd do everything in my power to help him. I asked if he knew which was his dominant eye and he said he did not know exactly what I was referring to. I explained it and gave everyone in class the "eye test" and we determined that he was in fact right handed and left eye dominant and that is from where his problems stemmed . Once we determined that and had him get the gun in front of his dominant eye he was able to vastly improve his shooting. He had been aiming all these years with his non dominant eye and that is why up until then he was not a good shooter . At the end of class I thought he was going to cry for joy because he didn't expect it to happen but we had "fixed" his shooting and now he was shooting the way he should have been all these years. THAT is what makes an instructor's day. But it was all about what he was seeing .... not how he was applying the mechanics of shooting.
