  1. Just having a democrat running for President is enough to set many off on a hoarding spree.

  2. If you can get 9mm for 17.5 cents a pop at Academy today go buy more because you’re not going to find any cheaper right now. Ammo prices are up across the board. 9mm is on average $100 more per case than two months ago.

  3. FOR years I have been very dismissive of pistol caliber carbine’s. I was of the opinion that if I was going to have something shoulder fired it needed to be of a rifle caliber. The only purpose for a pistol caliber carbine was for competition purposes. I’ve begun to reevaluate my opinion. They can be out right fun and the pistol versions offer a great deal of portability for a shoulder fired gun. I recently purchased a CZ scorpion and I am really enjoying it.

  5. After all this BS blows over the prices will come back down, no one needs to panic as there will be ammo available just like toilet paper.

  6. I'm going to throw out a very unpopular opinion: 2A Supporters are either a silent majority or a vocal minority, and if it's the former of the two... the silent majority is screwing the rest of us. The media panders hard left but that's because the hard left is a hell of a vocal group. If the 2A supporters, regardless of political affiliation, were vocal enough and large enough of a group, the media would likely pander that direction. The media needs money and their money comes from advertising ... when it isn't coming from George Soros. They'll follow whichever group generates the most revenue for them. If we're actually just a vocal minority, it's time for us to start adopting minority tactics. One of the most effective minority tactics is to be an inconvenient pain in the establishment's ass until it can't ignore them anymore.

  7. Call me Joe Exotic, captured (or he captured us) one of those mythical and elusiveTN Black Panthers. He is carefully hiding in the lower right. Not a hunter, but have spotted elk and bear in the park, a herd of buffalo, turkey at my in-laws, deer in my backyard and the occasional red fox. Other than coyotes, it appears East TN has a healthy ecosystem and TWRA does a pretty nice job with land management.

  8. I had the privilege of having Randy Harris @Cruel Hand Luke ,Harris Combative Strategies, and AJ, his assistant, come to my hometown and provide personal training for myself, my wife and three good friends. None of us had ever done any type training like this so we did not know what to expect. From the beginning Randy made everyone feel at ease and told us not to worry about our skill level, etc. He had detailed and organized processes on paper that started us slowly and built throughout the day. I was expecting there to be a lot of shooting. While we did shoot a lot, the psychology and thought processes part of the training for an armed citizen were invaluable. My wife and I both have had many conversations since the training about how we would react to different scenarios. Randy and AJ were very personable and never hesitated to take extra time when one of us needed additional help or to answer all our questions. I was amazed at everything we covered for this one-day class. It is easy to talk about what we did that day, but I think it is even more important as to what has happened after the class was over. One of my friends had never shot that much. She is now interested in shooting more and wants to become more proficient. Her words after Randy had left, “I am not afraid of shooting anymore. I have confidence that I can actually become very proficient with a pistol.” My other two friends are shooting more, and we now have conversations about how we would respond to different scenarios. My wife went from carrying occasionally to carrying every day. She also likes going to the gun range as she feels much more comfortable handling her pistol by herself. She is also beginning to be much more aware of her surroundings. The psychology side of the training was very eye opening for her. As for me, I thought I was observant about my surroundings. Randy just touched on the surface of what we need to be looking for and I am now studying and observing my surroundings at a much higher level. I practice de-escalating different situations but also moving and drawing in case de-escalation fails. Dry firing has become part of my daily routine. WOW, what a difference it has made. I wish I had started dry firing a long time ago. I purchased a SIRT training pistol and the LASR X software and now really see some big changes. How and what I practice is now building my confidence and knowledge daily. I used to carry “most of the time” when it was convenient for what I was wearing. I now have holsters/pistols that work for every type of clothing I wear down to the shorts I wear on my boat. I also learned the importance of a high-quality gun belt. Concealed carrying is now second nature to me and I carry concealed “all the time”, no exceptions. The training with Randy is the best investment of time and money I have ever spent pertaining to firearms. I look forward to attending more of his classes in the future. Greg

  10. Stock up on .17 cent ammo. Prices are going up and becoming hard to get. I can usually find some deals on https://ammoseek.com/ but you have to pay attention to the ending time and the shipping cost.

  12. yep if you can get under $0.18/rd all said and done I would buy a couple extra boxes everytime you go to the range and build up some spares. Doesn't look like prices are going to be this low for a while.

  16. Ammo is up 90.00 per 1000 from S G Ammo this morning. I could purchase 9 MM for 179. 00 per thousand before Covid. Now it is 269.00, this morning, plus 16.00 shipping. I was a good boy scout though, Raoul. Don't need any. S G got all you want to pay for.

  17. I think it's more like "2A supporters are a silent minority". Most people just don't care one way or the other what happens to gun rights. They're fine with people owning guns and doing as they like so long as it's lawful and peaceful, but it doesn't manifest into anything we could consider "support". On the flipside wouldn't truly be bothered if a full scale confiscation came about.

  18. I'd challenge you to re-think the statement to be "They are upset because an elected politician is telling them what to do" and strike the party line out of it. People, in general, are starting to become very tired of elected representatives acting like ordained directors or dictators. It's happening with elected representatives across party lines, but is perhaps more prevalent in the Democrat side of the problem.

  19. Let em help! I’ve told this before, but I was once at Cabela’s with my sons. Looking around, something caught their eye. I went over to see what it was. They were quite surprised to learn that factory loaded ammunition was available for their 257 Roberts chambered deer rifles. They were further shocked when they saw the price! Every deer either of them have killed succumbed to ammunition they’d hand loaded.

  20. That was a good video but I'm not sure it proved they are helping our cause. If you notice, most of the protesting took place in states where they have a democrat for Governor. It really seemed like they were more upset that a Democrat was telling them what to do. There were a handful of demonstrators in Florida, but nothing like what we saw in Michigan, NC and a few other places. There were 42 states that imposed some sort of social distancing rules and most of the protesters seemed to be in states with Democrats for governors. I'm not even sure how the the things tie together. If you want to protest the lockdown, why do you need to dress like a JV seal team and bring your AR? If you want to have a gun rights rally, by all means, do it. I would bet that these guys in Michigan wouldn't have showed up if a Republican had issued the same orders. This woman was just elected last year. I'm sure these guys were still salty about it and none of them voted for her. They probably hated her before the lockdown and this was just an easy excuse to go show that displeasure. That's my take on it.

  21. Since we were previously discussing the Mayor of Nashville wanting to raise taxes, I thought this was interesting. The city of Knoxville released their budget, with no tax increases. Key words- "Years of responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars affords us the ability to weather the economic implications of this storm without furloughing staff, cutting services, or deferring maintenance of critical infrastructure,” she said. https://www.wbir.com/article/news/local/no-new-taxes-knoxville-mayor-kincannon-releases-first-budget-proposal-announces-covid-19-recovery-fund/51-9c4e2471-ce56-4aec-87c1-146b171da45e

  22. I've only killed one grouse in my life up here in Scott Co. And the fan mount went on the wall with a couple Turkey mounts of mine. A beautiful bird no doubt, I've only seen 4 in my life. One of which was this Turkey season. You dont see them much anymore.

  23. First, I'm really enjoying your videos! You speak well, speak plainly and understandably. Secondly, your information is accurate and easily understood. You don't use some mall ninja gun-speak to impress some of the video watchers out here in the real world. Thirdly, I heartily approve of your purchase. I've owned a Scorpion for 2 years now and absolutely love it. I don't shoot it as much as I would like anymore. Life just seems to get in the way of personal pleasure. I think your take on the Scorpion is spot on. The addition of HBI parts is one of the best things you can do to a Scorpion. I did the trigger replacement, changed to a steel charging rod, extended the charging handle, did the AK style safety on the right side( works great btw), and not really necessary, but added the duck-bill mag release. Each change has made a difference for me in handling the Scorpion. I do like your using the weapon light as a hand stop. I think I'll give that a try. As I said previously, I really enjoyed this video. Please keep them up as you can. Looking forward to you doing a suppressor on it. I'd love to, but the cost, the long wait, and my advanced age make me think twice on that.

  27. I have used red dots for years, a couple of things. First and foremost red dots require much more practice than conventional sights, while they initially make life seem easy they take longer to master. having your slide milled will get you a better result than the MOS/whatever everyone else calls their plate system... Milled slide the red dot will sit lower and will cowitness better than a plate. Milled into the slide is a WORLD stronger than the plate system. I own pretty much all of the major red dot sights for pistols that arent just pure trash, the Trijicon RMR you get what you pay for its very very robust and built for the apoclypse. The Holosun 507c is almost as good though and for a defensive carry pistol I prefer it with its eotech style reticle (palmetto state had them around $210 also).. My deltapoint pro was nice for the huge window but very meh for everything else, the vortex venom is nice for a range toy but wouldnt consider for a carry solution. Look into the Shadow Systems MR920 mounting solution to be the future I fully expect this great little company to get bought out or at least their patent. I have two of their Gucci GLocks and a MR920 on the way.. It's what the glock should have evolved into if they had built on their design instead of just rolling out the same thing over and over. https://shadowsystemscorp.com/mr920/ strongest mount in the game and its almost universal. For us that are mil/vet/LE they have an amazing discount on expertvoice that puts the price of their stuff at not much more than a standard glock....
