  2. I first picked it up at the stockyards decades ago. It basically means someone who buys something with full intent on resale. After doing shows for so many years i can pick out the veterans at it. More a cutthroat crew to deal with than at the stockyards.

  3. Covid is real. No denying that. But, there is plenty of manipulation for poll numbers and profit. It's not a conspiracy theory. It's how those folks are, every damn day.

  4. The virus isn't spreading because of testing. The known positive number of those that have been infected is what's increasing.

  6. @chances R is was great seeing you again, thanks for coming out and and the positive review! What I really enjoyed about this class was seeing alumni reconnect and meeting new clients who have trained with Randy. Without getting too deep into the weeds, a training day can be skill assessment or skill development. This was a skill assessment day, in your laboratory of one, shoot some drills, how did you do? Randy as always, on hand to give advice or lend a helping trigger finger. Fun fact, I believe everyone shot the John Wick Drill slower with their rifle than handgun. @Cruel Hand Luke can you verify? The Ridge allowed us to have 14 handgun and 5 rifle shooters on the line, saving a bunch of time. While it rarely occurs with a modern firearm in good working condition and decent ammo, we had an AR fail to eject and then double feed. Practicing malfunction drills is not being tactically correct or cool, it's just plain smart. We're always looking for feedback to make the client experience better, let us know how we can get better! We offer training in Dayton TN, Rocky Face, GA and Ider, AL, a complimentary one-hour church security seminar and can provide private training at your location.

  7. The best method I hear of making sure you never acquire the virus is to stay in a 4x4 foot plastic cube until it's maybe safe to come out-only after radiation has killed the bug or a thermonuclear device is set off.

  9. Does anyone know the proper way to wear the face mask to protect yourself and others around you? I asked a doctor friend about all these people running around with their noses uncovered and the mask on only their mouth. He said that they might as well not be wearing one if they are not going to cover their noses as well as the mouth. That is why they test people by putting a swap up the nose because that is were they find the spores for the virus. I was going to look at buying a few masks till my son In law gave me 10 N95 masks which is my understanding are the best on the market. His company buys them by the pallet because his company does spray fire proofing of commercial buildings under construction and they are required to wear the N95 masks to perform their job. I just thought I would bring this up so people that are wearing the masks need to make sure your nose is covered along with your mouth!!

  14. Hence the suspected data manipulation. You'd think the CDC and the governments (both state and federal) would publish exactly how they're using the data to help minimize differences between agencies. I would want the rules clearly defined and well known by everyone involved to keep the data as clean as possible. It's the same garbage in, garbage out (GIGO) as with any other sort of data analysis. We live in a time where a significant number of people blindly trust the .gov and a significant number of people refuse to believe anything the .gov presents. Consensus is impossible.

  15. Rights go both ways. Stay 6 feet plus away, that has been the rule as long as this has been going on. Davidson county "Nashville" started a mask rule for this afternoon. If you cant stay 6 feet away, then wear a mask.

  16. I don't get the propensity many have towards conspiracy. Who exactly are the puppet masters here? It would be easier to believe if this was only happening in the USA but the entire world is fighting COVID in some capacity. As for why it's spreading in Knoxville.. Social distancing is a thing of the past. Every age, race and sex seems to have stopped caring. I'm seeing maybe 10-15% of people wearing masks.

  20. I suspect that the beach is relatively safe unless people are crowded together like sardines. It's the bars, restaurants, hotels, tourist shops, airports, rest rooms, and cars where the virus is being spread.

  21. Any positive habit is better than what the alternative could be! I have heard several doctors say that the Virus can't survive long in direct sunlight yet look at all the people that have tested positive after a day at a hot sunny beach. So what does one believe?? I actually have not changed much except I just stay home. My Daughter and Son In law do all my shopping for me cause they are out everyday for work and they both wear masks and do the hand sanitizers routines before bringing my food in the house and I have also got Lysol and other spray sanitizers that I spray the counters with after I put my food up. The doctors have all agreed that the food packages are not likely to contain many if any viruses. After I get the food up I wash my hands with sanitizing soap and then follow it up with hand sanitizer lotion. I also live in the sticks about 25 miles from the nearest town and 50+ miles from the nearest big city which is Nashville. I do have times I would like to just go out for a drive in the evening but Jeep is broke down and won't be fixed for at least a week or longer. It's funny but I never use to watch golf on TV but recently I look forward to it coming on so I can watch it. I do have a good friend I email quit often and he replies back pretty regally and that helps also. I do hope everyone here stays safe and we all get through this un-harmed!!!

  22. I have a package of N95 masks. I keep two in my van. Here's how I use them. Prior to going into a store, I put on the mask, making sure that I pinch around the nose to get a good seal. What works best for me to get a good seal is to keep the lower elastic band around my neck and the upper band above my ears. In the store, I don't touch my face, but I don't worry too much about touching the mask... more on that later. Upon leaving the store, I unpack my cart, put it away, get in my van, use hand sanitizer on both hands. Then, using only the elastic bands, I remove the mask and place it facing up on the dash in full sunlight. I'm careful to only touch the straps since the mask might have gotten exposed to virus. Then, I reapply a little hand sanitizer on the tips of my fingers that touched the mask. Any coronavirus that gets on the mask will be killed in minutes in full sunlight. Or, at least, that's my belief. Should I need to go into another store in a few minutes, I either leave the mask on or I switch to a clean mask for the second store. I also carry a tiny spray bottle of alcohol that puts out a mist. I use that to clean the steering wheel, workout gloves, keys, etc. It's really not too inconvenient to do this once you make it a habit.

  23. It’s not rocket science. The things are designed to cover mouth AND nose. I’ve seen plenty of ignorant people running around wearing masks with their noses hanging out and it’s just further proof to me that we are only as strong as our weakest link....and there is no shortage of those.

  26. One of the biggest disservices done to new shooters and non shooters by ignorant gun salesmen is recommending the tiniest, hardest kicking , hardest to shoot accurately gun in the store because" it does not weigh too much for the little lady and it will fit in your purse" and usually when recommending a J frame it is "simple to operate and not as difficult to use as an automatic"..... You know what's NOT simple to operate? A car. And virtually all of these people can figure out how to get in the car, stick a key in the ignition, put it in gear, back it out of their drive way, use a turn signal (sometimes....) turn the wheel and apply the accelerator to move the car up and down the road, maintain a steady speed, apply pressure to the break to make it stop when they need to and check their mirrors when changing lanes. So even though their wife/mother/girlfriend/whatever somehow manages to move their one ton motor vehicle to and from work, the mall and church with monotonous regularity (often while texting and reading facebook at the same time) and they probably drove a car TO THE STORE they are apparently too stupid to operate a midsize semi auto pistol? REALLY? Buyer beware. Salesmen are good at what? Selling . And more times than not the experience level of those manning the gun counter and pertinent relevant experience with the products is not much more than the experience of the customer.

  27. Funny you should say that. Couple Saturdays back we were shopping at the Walmart at walker springs and saw you high stepping through the food aisles. I almost came up and said that very phrase but with the big C on us I didn't want to freak you out. My hair has gotten longer since you last saw me and you wouldn't have recognized me which means I could have gotten a GFY, lmao.
