  1. I’m assuming Clerks 2 is a movie or TV show I haven’t seen or heard of. Mama always said, be as nice and kind as you possibly can to the people that touch your food.

  3. The problem is that no one called her out on it. Everybody probably stood around and looked uncomfortable. If all of the customers in the place "explained" to her that her actions were unacceptable some of this would stop. By not saying anything she has been given permission to act like this anytime she feels like it.

  8. Guys, I have done my best and still do to stay away from Chinese and other foreign companies but Olight has proven to me that there are some companies in China as good as American companies and better at times. I have always used Surefire lights and still do I had a few friends that use flashlights for life and death situations recommend Olight to me, the last one being Tim Thurner owner of TT gun leather, For those of you who do not know Tim is one of the firefighters who fights the wild fires and arson in Northern California he uses flashlights for search and rescue, Tim is making me some flashlight holsters for my Surefire Dual Fuel Fury 1500 Lumen Intel Beam which I still love and carry, He kept saying how much he loves his Olight M2R Pro Warrior so I broke down and ordered one, This thing is 1800 Lumens and awesome Olight gave me a great price as I told them I wanted to compare to Surefire, I have had it for a few weeks now and love this thing, so much that I am becoming a dealer for Olight I have to do an initial order so if any of you want an Olight I will give you the best price that I can, Let me know I will be getting several of these down the road they are incredible

  9. Cool. For some reason it was stuck in the back recesses of my mind that they were toxic. A quick google search disproves that theory. However, like a snapping turtle, I have little interest getting close enough to something with that many teeth to dress it.

I have taken a few rides on several life support machines and not really wanting to do another so I will speak up on this issue. If the policy in that particular store or town is for people to wear masks then masks should be worn or management should require they leave. Rule in stores are the same as laws when you are in public. The police do law enforcement and managers do store rule enforcement. How many times do people have to hear the statement "IF YOU SEE SOMETHING SAY SOMETHING" before it is understand what that means.

  15. While this may be very uncommon in that particular area, yes people do act that sort of way under normal circumstances. The problem with saying something to a complete stranger that is already physically agitated, is that it’s taken as escalation and when you carry, that’s something to avoid at all costs. That being said, common courtesy, common sense, and just being kind to one another has gotten less and less common over the years. However, right now in the current situation, the erosion of society is happening at a much faster rate. I fully agree with your sentiment of “Stay vigilant”

  18. It is a slippery slope. What happens when the next virus comes around? We’ve been subjected to a new one for years now, yet now it’s stop the world. As far as gun control goes it’s a done deal. It’s not ever going away or getting any better. No one is asking you to give up your decision making rights as a human being, just have some consideration for others and those you might come in contact with. You can decide not to frequent a business that requires what The Man tells them to do. Guess who wins.

  19. Because "muh rights" :shakes fist: Because we live in a time where even a pandemic has become politicized. We can't come together to do anything even remotely kind and decent because everything is viewed through a partisan lens. If we wear a mask it means the libs have somehow won. Next we'll all have to turn in our guns and have Bill Gates microchip our assholes. Anything scientific is also suspicious and linked to the liberal overlords. We can't trust them either.

  20. Since we’re about to bust the 80th page of this thread.... What’s with all the animosity against wearing a mask in public? I hate it, but will abide for the time being. Why start out just immediately dismissing the short-term practice as being some self-perceived violation of one’s person and liberty? Save your indignation for when a vaccine is released...and it becomes mandatory.

  21. All my life I've been told that Gar were trash fish and tasted terrible. I've been fishing a lot lately and been seeing Gar swiming right by me. So I decided to catch one amd eat it. They are great ! Taste just like alligator and the meat is really clean and doesn't smell. It's kinda chewy and very meaty like alligator but I like that. When I dressed the Gar I used tin snips to cut the armor skin. It really is like armor. I then cut away the long strips of meat just like you would on a deer. They ate like to long boneless tenderloins. I didn't even have to get into the guts at all. If you like alligator and don't mind using tin snips to cut armored skin then you should try it. I'm very pleased ! Here are the pictures of the Gar from being dressed to cooked. This one was about 2.5 feet long.

  22. I really don't want to bring down the tone of this very important day. I'm a solitary and usually independent old cuss, but tonight I would ask for some prayers of support for my wife, Susan, and mother-in-law Bettie. And leave it to me to forget his love...Julie. I'm sorry. We lost my brother-in-law Tad this afternoon and I had to tell my wife she'd lost her brother, and then go and tell Bettie that her son was gone. I did it, and that's all I can say. If you can remember them in your prayers for the next few days; I would appreciate it. Thank you.

  25. So it's over-reported and underreported. It's seriously deadly and is also >.05 death rate. Cases are skyrocketing while testing is skyrocketing but percentages of test vs. positives are down. It affects churches but not protest. If you wear a mask you are scared sheeple but morally superior, if you don't you are a selfish, unconcerned, anti-vac conspiracy nut. Also, if you believe mandates attached with criminal code penalities without legal criminal code are unconstitutional but you agree with the idea at the moment you are normal, but If you stand against it in principal and practice, you don't care about other people and blindly follow Trump. CDC and other health officials have admitted they lied and fudged numbers, yet science and their stats are irrefutable. If you debate anything, you hate whatever the opposite is.... Have I missed something?

  32. Happy 4th to everyone!! I have been doing a little digging on some trivia concerning the Declaration Of Independence and found this from the History channel. I hope everyone realizes these signers were putting their lives and wealth on the line. It wasn't a mere formality, they were telling King George III to go take a hike. Enjoy your holiday with your friends and family!! https://www.history.com/news/9-things-you-may-not-know-about-the-declaration-of-independence

  37. “Gov. Bill Lee granted authority Friday to mayors in 89 counties in Tennessee to issue their own face mask mandates as COVID-19 cases rise statewide. The move follows a record day-over-day increase after the state health department reported 1,822 new cases. Six counties with locally run health departments — Sullivan, Knox, Hamilton, Davidson, Madison and Shelby — already have authority to issue mask mandates as needed.” https://www.knoxnews.com/story/news/politics/2020/07/03/tennessee-counties-given-ok-order-mandate-masks-governor-bill-lee/5373590002/

  40. Depends on WHERE you are in the traffic. the first thing is to call 911 if for no other reason than to get it on record what is happening. If you are the first car then keep moving if you can. I'm not talking about "drive through the crowd in Charlottesville " style, I'm talking about just rolling through slowly enough not to do any undue harm if possible. But again this depends on the mood of the crowd. People chanting and waving signs and people throwing bricks are two different things. And if someone kicks your car or hits it with a bat that is still not necessarily justification to shoot them (yet). If it is obvious that they are "out for blood" then proceed as necessary. Drive around, through or over them if need be. If that is not possible and you have the option to "safely" wait it out then that might be the best option but again, once the crowd gets violent it is a LETHAL situation and the "disparity of force" is through the roof. Respond as necessary. This is not the time for "well I only carry my gun every now and then". And if a J-frame and the 5 rounds in the cylinder is all you carry you might want to reconsider that. Is there a time to get out of the vehicle? Yes. If you are stuck in the middle of the traffic and they are setting cars on fire then you are going to have to do SOMETHING. That something might be get out and run , get out and try to help others get out of their cars (think elderly folks who might need help) or get out, grab your rifle and make things very loud. Obviously that is a last resort but I'd rather have that option and not need to use it than not have that as an option. If you have a passenger (passengers) this might change things. Who is the passenger? Your wife? Your wife and small children? Your teenage age daughters? Your SF friend who just got back from a deployment to Syria and you are coming home from the range? All of these details matter and will color what you do and frankly what you are able to do. The best place to be is NOT THERE. So if you can avoid it then avoid it, if you can drive around it, then drive around it if not and you can drive through it do that. Worst case is having to get out and solve this on foot. I was in Raymond Mississippi at the Rangemaster Master Instructor class when the widespread nationwide rioting kicked off on the night of May 28. We all were aware of the news as the class progressed from Fri-Sun. Virtually all of us were visitors to the area and would all have to make our ways home Sunday night after class. My plan was to fill the car up before I left (I could make it all the way home on 1 tank of gas) , to simply stay on the interstate if possible, check in with friends along the way for a local reports of what was going on in their areas (I drove essentially diagonally through Alabama on 59 ) and to be ready to drive around or through any problems, and keep the AUG on the front seat for any potential problems that I could not drive around or through. People think you are crazy carrying a rifle and 7 mags with you until the rioting starts. Then you are a prophet.

  41. This is a scenario where I'm glad I have dash cams in both vehicles. If they are just blocking the road and not threatening me I'm going to wait before just ramming a bunch of people. I'm not going to be the next Reginald Denny though. If it looks like they are going to do me harm then I'll do what I have to. I'm not going to get into specifics.
