  1. In all of those listed, as with California, I would agree only inasmuch as they all contain specific cities which are the problem. Chicago is a hole, but Effingham, Mount Vernon, or the multitude of cities not in Chiraq metro, not so much. Same goes for Cali, WA, OR and believe it or not, even NJ. Keep that in mind as Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, and Chattanooga drive us over the edge to get lumped into the same category as all the states you listed.

  2. In this particular case I wouldn't have done anything. Immediately after being sprayed my wife would've been running through her like a tornado through a trailer park instead of filming lol.

  3. If you have an Orvis store near you, I understand they have a great class which includes a field trip. If you have a Basspro or Cabelas the person working the fly fishing section might be able to turn you on to an instructor. Slight thread drift: Don't, no matter what you think, decide to tie your own flies to save money.

  4. I haven't done the research here but, I'm going to make some assumptions on the character of these radicals and anti-American's; they're cowards and self centered. They've most likely never served in the military, Peace Corp, Scouts, etc. or did anything selfless for the interests of our country, their neighbor or their communities. They need a crowd, gang and/or support for their 'bravery'. Just like cockroaches when they're forcefully confronted [think Koreans on roof tops], scatter to their damp dark abodes. Most likely they don't like hard labor to earn a living, don't want to improve themselves nor their communities or living environment; and have the entitlement mentality and socialist views [use owes me]. A rational and reasonable person would view their acts and deeds as evil. This 'evil' and the tearing down of America is openly being coddled and condoned by many politicians and the major news media; and is not being seriously confronted by the silent majority or patriotic Americans. When will enough be enough??? Our Constitutional Republic is being destroyed one city, county and state at a time.

  7. The behavior of the man shows how effective pepper spray can be. Clearly it's not particularly debilitating. Funny how she leaves right after. I suspect she will be charged with assault. As for beating her up... not a chance. That'll get you your own mug shot to go along with hers.

  9. There's nothing like having to buy something shooting related "twice". I've learned a couple of financial lessons here lately, for example: I won't name the company but, I ordered a competition rig [both belts, hanger and holster] and it wasn't cheap [$200.00+]. There wasn't a lot of information on their website on this rig and its components, so I sort of took it on faith it is going to function properly. Being left-handed there's not a huge selection of competition holsters and hangers to choose from. Anyway, my gear arrived the other day and I was putting it together and noticed how flimsy everything was. The belt / holster hanger was made of 'plastic' and flexes under weight. Got it together and put it on, holstered my heavy Walther Match Q5 steel frame and the muzzle of the pistol immediately points to my thigh, with no way to adjust it out. It's not a comfort having the bottom of the holster pointing and resting against your thigh, and it makes the draw awkward and unnatural. I'll forego the other problems and quality of the rig. I got a tip from someone on here about the Ben Stoeger Pro Shop and checked them out [never heard of them]. I've ordered a number of shooting related items from them since and the quality of everything exceeded my expectations. Gots me a real competition rig with a metal hanger now. Had to communicate with them a couple of times about my orders and they were great. Each time I ordered something it was shipped the very same day. Their pricing is very competitive and they don't sell any junk. Whom ever is was that gave me the tip; thank you! Another piece of junk going into my overflowing big box of discarded holsters. How many of you have that big box of discarded holsters and what do you do with them?

  10. Man, I might throw rocks before I paid $0.43/round for 9mm.
    1 point
  11. Yea it certainly is more expensive, granted I cast my own lead bullets. But I can load 9mm, .38 special, .40 S&W and .45 acp for about a nickel a round. That would be $2.50 per 50 round box or a savings of 63,8% based on the 9mm I just purchased. And btw I don't even own a 9mm, got that for my son.

  14. I have a couple of buddies that reload, and I thought I'd buy me the Dillon equipment to start reloading myself during the two year Obamazation shortage. Along with no one being able to obtain ammo, no one could find powder or primers for reloading, so everyone was still in the same boat. It's more expensive but, it's just easier for me to stock up on ammo rather than everything needed to reload. And at my age, I only have so many bend overs to pick up casings, maybe 4 or five?

  20. We all are (well, most of us are). But we can’t lower ourselves to their level. You could punch her out and then try to justify your actions in court. I won’t.

  21. Sure it is, just depends on the intensity of the effect. That guy seems to be just standing there like it wasnt really bothering him. In that case, no I'm not gonna ground and pound grandma. If I hit her or push her down, it could seriously injure her and i dont want to deal with the consequences of that over a whif of pepper spray. I'll leave that for her future cell mates.

  22. Actually, the Capsaicin in the spray is a neurotoxin.

  23. If she got physical I'd defend myself for sure, but I wouldn't "beat her up". I'm not a big guy, but unless that 60-ish grandma has some secret mad ninja skills, I feel pretty comfortable that I could defend myself and hold her until the cops arrive if necessary. All those years wrestling can be useful occasionally. If she pulled a gun, she'd better be faster than me. If it was bear spray, I presume I'd be more concerned with taking care of that. Especially if someone had video.

  24. At the very least I would have disarmed her, and possibly, accidently of course, let her have the same treatment. I get tired of these out of control people given a pass while the rest get hammered.

  25. No doubt she deserves her teeth rearranged, but that's gonna earn you a very dad day with the law. Not to mention there could be some white knight lurking around that may decide milady is in trouble and would proceed to shoot or stab you. Best block: dont be there. Dont live anywhere where you have to take your dog to a dog park and interact with people. Maybe since this is clown world act like a clown, claim you are transgender lesbian woman with a medical condition and sue the #### out of her. *honk honk*

  36. I would have done just what they did, report it and have her arrested if they find her. Would I have punched her out or escalated the violence? Not on your life, I would not have laid a hand on her. He isn’t in danger. That’s a mental case with a can of pepper spray. He’s as weird as she is, eating lunch with dogs crapping all around him.

  37. Depends on how serious the assault was. In this case I would have walked away and let the police handle it. It the assault was bad enough to do some serious damage then the gender of the assaulter does not matter.

  41. I have not seen gun manufacturers or ammo manufacturers raise their prices in any of these price jumps that gun owners created for themselves. Unscrupulous retailers do it; and people continue to buy from them. (I’ll bet CTD can sell all the ammo they can get, and no one was ever going to buy from them again) The good retailers just can’t keep ammo in stock. But the manufacturers can’t justify more manufacturing equipment, because this will end.

  44. I remember when someone here wanted to know why dispatchers send Officers when someone calls in about a man with a gun. They do it because it is there job to go find out why someone is calling. Our Chief would have fired a dispatcher for that. I’ve heard several times when an Officer was quizzing the dispatcher about why one of our frequent flyers was calling, and a Command Officer get on the air and Say “Go find out!”. Some people, sometimes have to be reminded what their job is.

  45. But that’s just it, once we start using the threat of violence to get what we want; we are no better than the dirt bags that are doing it now. “Do what we say or we’ll burn it down!” The only thing that can stop those type of threats is to put them in prison. I have no doubt some looters will get shot if they move out of the cities. But I also have no doubt if they are white and the DA is a BLM or antifa supporter; they will get charged whether the evidence supports it or not. This isn’t about justice. Sheriff’s are elected, they don’t answer to anyone but the people. Police Chiefs answer to a Mayor or City Council; that needs to change. I’m waiting for a Police Chief or Mayor to be fired or brought up on charges stemming from Nonfeasance or Malfeasance. Officers involved in not putting out the calls that come in, are violating their oath of Office. I don’t know if Dispatchers take an oath or not, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see some of them sued civilly as this progresses. We have talked many times here about the military or cops saying they were “just following orders”. Politicians telling the Police to “stand down” while citizens are being attacked and killed is not a lawful order. Officers will not be able to hide behind it when the dust settles.

  46. Fortunately I'm up early for a Steel Challenge match this A.M. and thought I'd check my email. Three hours ago [about 3:00 A.M.] I received an alert from "Freedom Munitions" they now have round nose, factory new, 115 grain in stock. At .43 cents a round pretty pricey but, what ya going to do, what if things continue and get worse? After my match today when I get home, I'm going to check and see if it's all sold out by then? Just a heads up. Edit: Sure nuff, they were sold out that afternoon. They did still have some 115 grain hollow points for 50 something cents a round though. Now every double tap I shoot I'll be thinking, dollar, dollar, dollar...
