  1. I believe this explains the water plume from the explosion...

  3. I saw a video yesterday shot from the inland side of the explosion similar in angle as Dave's after picture. It showed what looked like fireworks going off in the fire right before the explosion. They were the crackly kind of mortar fireworks that would be hard to mistake for something else. It clearly wasn't a terror attack to me. Fireworks burning near stored Ammonium Nitrate is perfectly plausible.

  4. This is the most likely explanation for these seeds. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brushing_(e-commerce) The alarming parts of the whole thing are that (a.) people will open something like this and then actually use it, and (b.) that people continue to thumb their noses at Ocam's Razor and embrace complex conspiracy theories more readily than they will embrace something more sensical like "This is a brushing scam, not China's bid to take over the US with bio-engineered Communism seeds".

  5. https://www.netflix.com/title/81206411 "Tread" is about the guy who spent over a year building armor for a bulldozer, then proceeded to bulldoze the town of Granby Colorado. I found it fascinating.

  8. Why do all of you Form 1 junkies feel it necessary to crap on other people? You don't know his situation or setup. Maybe he doesn't have a trust and doesn't trust some fly by night internet lawyers to give solid legal counsel. Maybe he got a better deal on the YHM Mite than he could have possibly gotten on a Form 1 can. Just be happy for the man and move on. Go preach to someone else.

  10. Here's a perfect example of why I believe nothing the media produces. So far, I've heard at least 3 explanations...a fireworks factory, ammonium nitrate from Russia, and a terrorist bombing. I doubt any of them are correct. It was a quite impressive sight, however!

  12. Chuck, please feel free to reach out to me directly if you would like to go over the processes in detail. I live in Raleigh so I'm just over that pesky city line and I have completed a few in state transfers and have one pending right now.

  13. Correct....but then again I'm not that hard on my equipment. AFAIK, RMR is your only American choice.

  14. In that one video that appears to be taken from up high in a building, if you look closely at the bottom of the smoke cloud, just before the explosion, you will see fireworks going off.

  19. See above. The SRO really isn't duty / carry grade without something like the new BROS adding some protection to it. This video is worth watching. At least watch the first 5 minutes from this timestamp which starts 47 seconds in.

  20. Between those two, Trijicon RMR if it's going to be an EDC. Jagerwerks has a neat new "suit of armor" for the Trijicon SRO that they literally just started promoting in the last few days. It is called the B.R.O.S. (bros) or the Battle Ready Optic Shield. If the larger SRO strikes your fancy, I'd give that a hard look as the SRO simply is not duty grade and won't stand up to a whole lot of abuse. The RMR won't need it, and not all guns' optic cuts are guaranteed to be compatible with it. But it looks like a viable way of making the SRO a lot more durable. http://jagerwerks.com/pre-order-b-r-o-s-4-6-weeks/

  22. Had our first visitors about 2 weeks ago. I know, seems late, but maybe I haven't been seeing them. Anyway, 2 feeders on the front porch. If we go out and sit, even talking or using phones, they flit around both feeders as if deciding which is tastier. lol Love watching them. Reminds me, I need to change the food out tomorrow. Or feeders get a lot of sun and heat from the brickwork. They seem to do better if I change about every 2nd to 3rd day.

  24. Which section of the Duck? In Coffee County, below the dam at Normandy & through the town, around Cortner's mill, it's excellent stocked trout fishing year round. The Elk is better though, around Farris Creek right up to Tim's Ford dam. Im told it's also excellent down steam, but I have no personal experience. The Smallmouth & trout fishing is excellent in both rivers though.

  25. Supposedly they figured out this was linked to fake online reviews. Example: Send out 1,000 packages and then wrote 1,000 fake, positive reviews for “actual product”. Seeds have weight and volume and are nearly free.

  29. Both sides of Congress love letting the government agencies have a wide operating latitude. It lets them rail for or against their administrative moves, all while sidestepping the burden of actual oversight and responsibility, because that's hard, plus it cuts into time better spent fundraising or developing relationships that will land someone a sweet lobbying job after they retire from the legislature.
