I bought this when I was deciding if I wanted to go .300 Win Mag or 7mm Mag. I really like my Montana in .300 Win Mag so this one is up for sale. This was the SCI Gun of the Year for 2019. They made up 50 versions of this rifle with the custom floor plate and Vortex Viper HSLR 4-16x50 scope. This is #1 of the group. The rifle is brand new and come with the box. It has never been fired. I do not think I have even loaded it yet. I also two boxes of ammo I will include. The rifle runs $1600 and the scope $900. With the ammo and fees I have over $2600 invested in the rifle. I will let it go for $2000. That is a great deal for someone if they need a nice elk/moose/bear rifle. Here is some sales info: The American West was built upon the backs of men and women venturing into the frontier to pursue dreams of fame, fortune and a better life. Through the years, this adventurous spirit has become a part of the American tradition which is embodied by firearms like the American Legends Rife. Montana created the ALR for the avid hunters who rustle through the mountains, seek their quarry in the field, and share the common bond of appreciation for a handsome hunting rifle. The ALR is perfect for outdoorsmen seeking big game adventures; it is chambered in our most popular long and short action cartridges, and provides consistent, reliable performance through an artfully executed design. Specs: • Chambered in 7MM Remington Magnum • Glass Bedded Turkish Walnut Stock • Three Position Wing Safety • 26” Chrome Moly Matte Blue Finished Barrel • Weight (without scope): 7.5lbs • Only 50 available! • Engraved with SCI logo and numbered 1 to 50. Vortex Viper HS LR Riflescope The Vortex Viper HS LR riflescopes features an advanced optical system highlighted with a 4x zoom range for magnification versatility. I want to thank all of you for the kind words about Rosie and yes she is a sweetheart for sure. And as far as the spoiling, that began soon as she arrived here. The vet sent 50 lbs of her food with her and I put her a bowl of it down and she went 3 days without touching it so I had my daughter call the breeder about her not eating. The reply was she has always been a nibbler and does not eat a lot at 1 time. Well, she may be a breeder but I have had a Hound most all my life while growing up and Hounds love to eat. I grew up with Beagles and my son and Grandsons all have coon hounds and they all eat. I had a few bags of Pedigree soft packs left from Darby and I thought I would try something. I picked up the bowl of food and mixed 1 pack of the chunky chicken with gravy in it and put it back down and she ate it like she was starved to death. So now she gets a mix each night and she cleans the bowl every night. I also had my daughter go get her a new dog bed at TSC and I put it at the foot of my bed and added a blanket cause I found out that her whole life was spent sleeping on a concrete floor with indoor/outdoor on it in a kennel house and that is hard on an old dogs joints. I made her a bed from a quilt till I could get her the bed and she spent the first night just sleeping on the soft carpet on my floors and the second night I got her to test run the quilt and she would go on it and get back off a couple times and I told her it was up to her where she slept. I woke up for a bathroom trip about 3 AM and she was asleep on the quilt bed......LOL. When her new bed arrived it was bright white lined and she would not go near it. I decided to put the brown blanket on it and put a Milkbone snack in the bed and about 10 minutes later the snack was gone and she realized how good the bed felt I guess cause as you can tell by the pictures below she loves the bed. So for those of you said it's time to spoil her, I think I have already done that....LOL. I also now have a fenced yard to keep other dogs away from her that run loose in the neighborhood.4 points

CRP means C-reactive protein test. Anything above 10 is a sign of serious infection, trauma, or disease. Mine was 30. So that is really good because the infection is going way down!!!!3 points

Nothing to brag about, but I haven't seen a good deer where I hunt this year. I bought a new dehydrator, and want to see if it works. My patience ran out around 7am this morning.2 points

I'm still buying components, but only the ones at a somewhat reasonable price. The problem with selling right now, is that you can't replace what you sell at the price you purchased those components for, so you have to consider the higher replacement costs. I don't sell reloads, but have had a friend or two over to reload components I've sold them. And only do that when I know it's for their personal use. I seen this coming, well before Obama, and stocked up and upgraded my reloading equipment. I also got into casting my own, and searched for ways to make my own powder and primer compounds. I'll probably never need to go that far mind you, but it never hurts to have the information and skill set, just in case.2 points

I'm sorry to hear this my friend as I have been through that twice. Take my word for it. Better to go through that than watch them suffer......JMHO2 points

The co-ordinated efforts at supressing some information while promoting others that has been taking place in the media should scare the bejeezuz out of everyone. Used to be the Wash Post and WSJ were a little left-leaning, while other outlets had a conservative bent. You had some balance. They are all now in lock-step with a given agenda. Dissenting viewpoints are actively filtered/removed and demonetized (OAN kicked off utube). The power google holds with their ad revenue can and is being weilded ccoercively. Their ability to (de)rank and promote viewpoints has been proven time and time again. Pravda wasn't nearly as powerful... Forget who, but know the quote you're referring to. What bothers me more than the manipulation of conclusions from the data, is the massaging of the data itself. Two very recent events (Election and KungFlu) and one long ranging one ('climate change') are very serious topics marred by illegitimate data. If you can't count on the counting (see what I did there? ), you can't make any conclusions! The vote counts are tainted and in serious question in some cases, so we dunno who's Pres., Covid numbers aren't just being fudged, and the raw instrument readings being used to make graphs that prove our planet is warming up, were actually 'adjusted' by the scientists doing the recording. I'm no scientist, but if you don't have good data, you're not going to get the right answers. The lack of truth in our society is underlying many of our ills. Why society has reached that point I'll leave for another day!2 points

Don't see this on MSM anywhere, and online links to the data are being memory holed. All hail benevolent government!!! "According to this graph constructed using data provided by the CDC from the last 6 years, total deaths have remained relatively constant and increases can be explained by various factors such as a larger population. The spikes in deaths in 2020 are consistent with historical trends, only topping 2018 by 11,292 deaths. There have been over 262,000 deaths attributed to Covid-19 in the United States, yet total deaths have not increased in any alarming capacity; they have only mirrored existing trends. In short, according to 6 years of data collected by the CDC, Covid-19 has not led to any significant increase in deaths" https://www.aier.org/article/new-study-highlights-serious-accounting-error-regarding-covid-deaths/ Oh my GOSH! You mean the 'news media' is manipulating statistics to drive an agenda? INCONCEIVABLE! Its funny how we can have a quarter million KungFlu deaths in the same year seasonal flu deaths drop by 200k. Just a coinkidink. Don't bother looking into the data at all, just parrot what the talking head on the tee vee said. Now someone will quote an unverified outlier of a story (read on facebook) about ONE guy who wasn't a morbidly obese diabetic smoker with a heart condition who died from Covid to refute the 6 years of data you posted. A co-worker of mine lost his sister suddenly this Spring (30s, no underlying conditions). I had to cover for him for a week, official cause of death? Covid. When he quizzed her doctor, he said she had a blood clot break free and get to her brain, but Sevier County recorded it as a KungFlu statistic. People will believe what they want to believe, even when reality is smacking them in the face so hard it leaves welts. I'm not your red pill. Continue going about your life like you always have. Ignore that feeling in the back of your brain that it just doesn't feel right. Probably just some bad curry.2 points

A friend and I squared off with a couple rounds of Battleship, .22 LR style. My CZ 455 vs his Ruger Precision Rimfire. The Ruger won the day. We started at 50 yards, but decided that was too easy, so we moved out to 100. Then the wind picked up and the round got more expensive. We added some last-minute tribal rules. Black dots are worth two extra shots. 100 yards:1 point

While I fully support being a member of other 2nd Amendment organizations and strongly encourage it, don't abandon the NRA. They still have clout and name recognition and those count in this fight. I still pay my dues, but don't give NRA one single cent extra. Hopefully, they will come through this a much better organization. But the key is LaPierre must step down for any real change to happen. I'm still hopeful. I strongly encourage every member of this board to join other pro 2nd groups as well. Especially the Tennessee Firearms Association which is on the front lines right here in our state and doing a great job.1 point

I think Mon/Tues is going to be it... Nice buck Greg, if one like that walks by me I have a Henry .44 magnum waiting.1 point

^^^^ Yeah, stuff like that building is annoying I agree, and yes it's time for Wayne to go, it was time five years ago. NRA Benefactor Lifer here... the turmoil is annoying as is their incessant begging, but they are still the big dog on the block. I'm a GOA - CRPA - and VCDL supporter too from time to time, but I just can't but feel without the NRA we are screwed.1 point

I looked at last month 2019/2020. I compared deaths, deaths from COVID-19 to the population and then compared those to cancer and heart disease. Here is that data from what you linked.1 point

I’d sell them both and get them a Glock 43x . If the option is only between those two I’d keep the Taurus since it’s the right color, and you can shoot multiple calibers, and it has a usable hammer.1 point

Randall, not trying to seem argumentative here but I'm not sure why you are saying this. Biden's gun control agenda wasn't a secret. He talked about it at every debate and several public events. This is is the same rhetoric we heard in 2008 and 2012. I don't believe he will have the votes in the Senate to pass anything and even if they did, I believe SCOTUS has our back. I'm not going to consume myself with dread until the time comes. Me stressing over it isn't going to change the outcome.1 point

"There are proven strategies for reducing gun violence in urban communities without turning to incarceration. " So we sure don't want to put gangsters in jail, but those of us who've never committed a crime should have our property taxed or be forced to sell it to the government! I suppose I could have quoted darned near the entire article with things I find outrageous. There was one paragraph that I agree with, though. The suggestion that LE be notified any time someone fails a background check. Those who are prohibited from firearms possession and who lie on the 4470 should be prosecuted and punished. SCOTUS will certainly be important in all of this, and with Roberts' record we cannot count on him. Therefore, the senate races in Georgia become extremely important to any of us who value our natural right of self-defense. I'm going to donate a little money to the republican candidates there. I sure can't compete with the Hollywood elites who are pouring money into those races, but maybe a little bit will help. Thanks Randall53, for linking this information!1 point

We continue voting into situations that we will eventually have to try and fight our way out of. History confirms this.1 point

I could be wrong, but I don’t think any of that will help. There is too little time, too many jurisdictions, too many criminals counting and changing ballots, and too little hard core evidence that can be used in court. Couple that with a mindset that criminal acts are justified to get their way “at any cost”, fear of riots if the elections were legitimate, and the biggest percentage of the media siding with the liberals; and we have a problem that will be tough to overcome.1 point
