  1. I have an idea. Let’s try and execute this guy for his crimes. Determining why he did it at this point is an exercise in futility unless you are looking to use this senseless crime as political fodder. In a court of law, it should not matter what anyone’s race is nor the reason for the crime. You should determine whether or not the defendant is guilty, and if he is, punish him accordingly for his crimes. I would like to see him tried today and publicly hung tomorrow.

  4. I don't care if these were angels among us or straight up whores, this man is someone society needs to lock him up forever or put him down. There is zero sympathy for circumstances, beliefs, or anything when you take eight lives in a premeditated act. I'm not sold on the racial bias here, but you at least investigate it when something like this happens, and you go a bit deeper than taking the murderer at his word. This could be a targeting of prostitution while also targeting Asians. Right now, I don't think we know to a degree to be making declarative statements. I do know that Asians have been subjected to some horrid measures of discrimination since the 1800s, and not much happens in a vacuum. The media is just hyping it up to fill air time in an other wise boring period because as John Popper sang, "when I'm feeling stuck and need a buck I don't rely on luck because The Hook brings you back". They're struggling to find content without Trump feeding it up for them so they'll be grasping at things like this.

  5. Millions of people with heart issues, lung issues, diabetes were living relatively normal lives with their respective health treatments. Then they caught Covid and croaked. Strange how their existing maladies all flared up at once enough to kill them, eh? Not to mention all the folks who had NO significant health issues and died after contracting it. - OS

  6. Vortex Gen II 3x & 5x Spitfire HD prism scopes. I have several of their original scopes that I’m very fond of. They are great for shooters with astigmatism. My only gripe about these new scopes is that they now only have the red reticle, no green. The 5x has a removable plate for a red dot. I’ll be mounting a Holosun 507 green on it.

  7. It could be a combination of the two. The guy is racist and bat sh*t crazy. It doesn’t have to be political. I don’t even want to delve into the political aspects of this case. I’m worn out with politics and cable news.

  8. His reasons are what the whole ruckus is about. Dems and MSM are trying very hard to make this a racial hate crime. That fits their agenda much better than admitting the guy is just plain crazy.

  9. I've been pondering a 9mm carbine of some sort for a while, and seeing grasshoppa's Stribog for sale in the Classified forum clinched it for me. Nashville Armory had one for an actually decent price so it followed me home yesterday, after a several hour wait for the "instant" background check. Apparently a lot of people are spending their stimulus payment on guns at the moment I'd be lying if I didn't admit a big part of wanting something like this is being able to toss it in a backpack, which I did as soon as I got home

  10. You sure are fired up about peoples perceived take on this story! Context is hard online, but my comment was a tongue-in-check shot at the hypocrisy of the "narrative". Not about Georgia killer or Watson. Sadly, whether Watson is guilty or innocent will make no difference. Much like the true story of Atlanta. It will be how the narrative directs "justice (social)" and how it can be used to further an agenda that only cares with the ideological outcome, not reality or real people.

  12. It's an RPK clone. Com-block answer to the m240/249. Basically an AK with a longer barrel and bi-pod. That particular one is a VEPR, which is built in the Russian special weapons military factory. They are definitely capitalizing on the current state of American politics and import issues. $6k? not a chance. In the past RPK's were usually higher priced and a VEPR would have been a premium version (for some) but mainly because they were a niche collector market item.

  15. Some takeaways as I saw this video a while back, but didn't want to be the one to post it here (thanks to @Omega for broaching the topic). 1) Very true that things go from zero to one hundred fast here. The officer had a good reaction time to escelation events as they happened. 1a) The officer needed that good reaction time because the situation had gotten out of hand as others have pointed out. We can debate his weight, but I wouldn't be surprised if she saw officer Tubby McCracker as soft and felt emboldened. 2) This woman doesn't seem a net benefit to society, and I don't for one second condone her shooting the officer, or even grabbing the weapon. Still in a better world, the weed being (presumably) was the reason the officer got to search her and put her into fight or flight mode is at best debatable insofar as should it be a crime or not. Our laws in at least some way contributed to this event's conclusion. Very similar questions. I'm sure the weed was the gate into it all, and that I do have some issues with, which leads me to... If this is a dime bag PC situation that lead to shootings...well, it'll be time for my refrain on how we need to just legalize weed because all the laws against it are doing is enabling government actions. Remove the laws about personal quantities of weed, and this situation is a lot different. Nobody dead or in the hospital most likely. One armchair question is what urgent need to act on the stop is there until backup arrives? Once the car is pulled over, I would think the officer could wait for another cruiser to show up and help with the encounter. Bit of tactical patience could have prevented a lot here, but I may be wrong in that. The questionable standards of BLM/Antifa aside, I like that police departments feel the need to justify their actions to the public, especially when it comes to the lethal use of force. I'm not unhappy that government agents have a bit of fear from the governed reminding them where their authority comes from in the first place. Again, this may not be a perfect example of the Jeffersonian process in action, but it's a good start.

  16. This should serve as a reminder to all of us. Even the LEO can't get LEO backup to them quick enough. You/me should assume we are on our own and the cavalry may not get to us in time to help, but maybe just to do the chalk outlines!! That is why where I reside and 30 minutes or more before the cavalry arrives, 1,100-1,200 FPS are my backup!

  17. Haha, guilty as charged, I'm no doctor. I also didn't give any medical advice. I attempted to clarify a point in the discussion: the mRNA gene therapy being pushed as a 'vaccine' is anything but. Its hard to have a cogent conversation when people misuse language. Can't have a talk about sports cars with a prius owner that thinks its a sports car. Its simply not possible if everyone doesn't agree on the language? That's why this whole debate is useless, we're talking passed each other by not understanding what we're saying to each other (due to ignorance or misuse). The advice I offered is about life, not medical in nature. You probably shouldn't inject yourself with something put together by the same people who have publicly stated they want you dead.

  19. Here's my take on all this.. 1. Don't associate with wanted felons. 2. Don't drive a vehicle if the person who owns it is a wanted felon. 3. Don't be "riding dirty". 4. Having a bad attitude and resisting arrest won't get you far. 5. Pulling and/or using a weapon on a LEO will most likely get you killed. To sum it up..I don't have any sympathy for her or anyone else who acts like that.

  20. I am sorry, but the crap does not kill, it is the under lying issues that are made worse by the crap that kills. Docs were forced to say that COVID was the cause of death, when it was a bad heart, bad lungs, poor blood sugar, poor health, just to name a few, that was the cause of death. COVID is a test to see how far we can be pushed, some have been pushed over the edge and now want to pull the rest of us along!!! Let go of my hand, leave me alone!!!

  21. The FK BRNO is a new pistol that will be imported for the first time in February. The say it is a new and unique concept and design and fires a proprietary cartridge, the 7.5 FK. The Field Pistol is a sporting pistol designed primarily to be used in long-range competitions, silhouette shooting, hunting, and generally any pistol shooting activity and tasks that requires the ability to engage targets at longer ranges, especially with a folding stock , such as (PSD) personal security detail, urban / suburban combat, backup (SBR) short barrel rifle, Air crew survival weapon, mechanised armour crew weapon, among other uses. Of course adding a folding stock requires a tax stamp. It is guaranteed to shoot less than 100x100mm at 100m. That is under a 4" group at 100m. Muzzle velocity is 2000fps with 880 ft/lbs and at 100m is still 1525fps and 520 ft/lbs. There are some interesting videos on their website. They take some large animals (200-320lbs) and do ballistic gel testing. Pretty impressive results. Now for the bad news. There is only one company that is going to import these. There will only be 1001 6" Field Pistols made for the US. The first order of 100 is almost all spoken for. They are accepting refundable deposits of $2500 to reserve a pistol. Price for the pistol is $7500. The ammo is 77.50 for a box of 50 95 gr hp. Don't know why but I really want one of these. If you see me posting a lot of toys for sale on here you will know I have finally lost my mind. lol. https://www.fkbrno.com/the-pistol-7-5

  23. The whole thing on ITAR/NV is suspect at best. But it’s one of those things you don’t really want to test - especially over the last few years. I’ve never thought about whether ITAR applies to foreign made tubes. I mean you want to stay away from the old Soviet era ones that’ll burn your retinas out. But the new Russian ones that frankly already show that ITAR needs to be overhauled are pretty decent.

They don't even list the older models any longer-seems to me they ended them this model year. Let us know how you like them after a little use. I would be game for the 5x but the expense is quite a bit more than they were.

  30. I don’t have any real feelings about this issue, except sorrow for the victims. I won’t be drawn into what Fox News and MSNBC are saying. It’s just another day in America. I’ll just say that this was another heinous crime committed in an American city, and hopefully with the violence that the Asian community has faced over the last year they will be more vocal about injustices facing society as a whole. The Asian community is learning that even when you mind your own business American culture will still reach out to you. Opinions about guns have already been formed and entrenched on both sides, so no I’m not worried about being collectively painted with a broad brush by anti-gunners. These killings are what terrifies anti-gunners, and with each mass killing it stiffens their resolve to disarm the public. You can’t blame sheep for being a sheep.

  32. Yes, but Capt Jay Baker pulled out a flaccid excuse for this guy's actions, which was not necessary at all. In fact, it may taint the case. He discounted the killing of 8 people as having a "bad day"? I agree, let's certainly focus on the nutcase kid, but I question that comment, too.

  35. Do you agree with the MSM putting forth the accusation that the US Military is responsible for the massage parlors here in the US? The sex industry has been around since Adam and Eve if you lean that way, and massage parlors, while a big part of it, isn't all about sex. There are quite a few spas that are legit places, otherwise they would not be allowed to get licenced. I'll give you that probably the majority of the asian places either do offer sexual services or at least lead some to think so, to get clients into their establishment. And though this particular guy was as you guys are putting it, a young, white, religious, gun-totin killer, I dare say MOST of us do not harbor any good feelings toward this guy, but you and I both know they will try and use this to paint ALL of us gun owners with that brush, even those of us who are not technically what they call white, religious, or killers (war not included).

  37. Well, granted it's been 28 years since I was a LEO, but I believe that you are wrong on a couple of things. First of all, the video starts during the conversation where she has gotten back into the car after immediately exiting the vehicle; therefore, you cannot see or hear what transpired before the video starts. If the officer smelled the odor of marijuana, that is probable cause to continue the Terry Stop. This is innuendo as the officer references "other problems." During a Terry Stop an officer has the right to check for weapons on or about the subject which includes the vehicle. That excludes any locked compartments which would require a search warrant unless the car was being impounded after an arrest. The bag is not a locked compartment and can easily contain a weapon. She was also acting suspicious and ignoring the officers commands. She surrendered the bag to the officer, and then he asked her what she took out of it. That means he saw her take something out of the bag and could have seen her try to hide it. After she has surrendered her bag he asks her "So it's just in here?" to which she says yes, and he then pulls out a bag of what I assume to be marijuana, and asks her if that was it to which she also says yes. She even acknowledges that it's "a bag of weed" while holding the phone to her ear. He then finds powdery substance that I can only assume looking like drugs since that isn't shown. Face powder doesn't look like cocaine, and I assume that he knows the difference. Even possession of a dusting of cocaine is a felony. That's when he calls car 25 to see if he/she is available for what I assume is for backup. From there the goes sideways. I see absolutely no violations of her civil rights.

  38. I’m not going to talk politics or what the media is doing. Most people , especially veterans know those spas/massage parlors are usually fronts for stream and creams. His alleged “addiction “ is to Asian hookers. You cast a broad net when assume that only liberals hate 21 year old, white, religious, gun toting killers of Asian Americans. Again, the real victims are the deceased. Not the killer or the sheriff.

  39. I personally don't see ANY unconstitutional actions, none. He pulled over a vehicle that was flagged as belonging to someone with warrants. Once stopped, and seen who was driving, he still had to make contact with the driver. She jumped right out of the vehicle once stopped, not smart, and usually shows there may be an issue in the vehicle. It does not show how he confirms he was not in the car, just him saying it. Her fumbling around in her purse, is IMO, a no-go, that is probably when she removed the gun from her purse; he asks what she took out. Then he finds the pot, so from that point on she is not going anywhere, he calls for the female officer. She keeps going into her car, and if not for the anti cop atmosphere, he would have taken control of her and cuffed her then and there. But no, she gets back into her purse, and when he says she will be arrested all hell broke loose.

  42. I would disagree with you on the 'probable cause" point. Driving a suspected felon's car with outstanding warrants would create PC IMO. Did she steal the car? Part of a drug dealers distributor? If she had been more cooperative, maybe she wouldn't have gotten so much attention.

My condition remains pretty critical but my being here is nothing short of a miracle; more than one Dr said I would not leave the hospital alive much less be at the level I’m at. im now living in Ohio with my sister and looking for a home/apartment to rent - I miss Tennessee (lived in Murfreesboro since 1996) but this is where I need to be. I also miss the friends of the TB firearms community; both those I’ve met in person over the years as well as those I’ve only “met” through the forum..what you all did for me at Thanksgiving truly showed a spirit that is very hard to find today. Still haven't fixed the axe head to the handle. Learned some differences between cheap store-bought steel and a real axe head - real steel has a tempered edge and a lot of cheap axes don't have that hardened edge. Also, never use an axe with some sort of clear coat on the handle without gloves. It will eat you alive with blisters. Naked wood + oil = way better.

  48. TGO has unfortunately, from time to time, been visited by those who lack morals and ethics and would like to take advantage of the good graces and trusting nature of our fine members. This activity almost always seems to increase when social conditions are turbulent, especially if the turbulence is centered around the ability to find and buy guns or ammo. Lately we have had to boot a few people who were exhibiting suspicious behavior. We want you to be aware of this fact and to be sure to check a person's status on TGO before you commit to doing business with them as either the seller or the buyer. This is especially true if the other person encourages you to take communication with them "off the forum" and to email or some sort of instant messaging service. Before you buy or sell: Look to see whether they have have an active account or if they've been banned since you started talking to them. If you are going to meet to conduct business, do it during daylight hours and in a heavily trafficked, very public, neutral meeting place. Don't invite people to your home. Don't agree to meet people at theirs. MOST police and sheriff's stations have space at their parking lot where you can meet for selling and buying with strangers. Other good places are parking lots of busy business and in sight of their security cameras. Trust your gut instincts whether just when communicating online or meeting in person. If something feels "off" or "weird" - trust your gut. Feel free to involve me, @MacGyver, @Chucktshoes or one of the other moderators in a private conversation with the other party, or just contact us off to the side if you have concerns. Some of the suspicious activity that we've seen includes: People answering a Want To Buy ad claiming to have what you want, or that they know a friend or family member who does, and offering to broker an exchange between you and them. When it is fraudulent, this sort of thing often quickly becomes ridiculously complex and harder than it should be to do a simple transaction. Your warning senses should start tingling. We insist that people never list an item for sale for a friend on TGO for a reason. First Person is simpler, easier and often safer. People asking if you will ship a gun to them out of state or if you require proof of residency. Shipping a gun out of state always requires that you send it to an FFL in that state. An in-person buyer has to be a resident of your state. Again, heed your warning senses. People asking you to send money to them via PayPal "Friends and Family". Remember, first of all PayPal doesn't allow you to pay for guns and certain other things with their service. If you do and you get hosed on a deal, you may have no protection with PayPal. Second, sending money via Friends and Family saves the recipient a measly 3% charge but it also means you get zero protection via PayPal if the other person hoses you. Strangers insisting that they meet you after dark, or at a remote location, or at your house or theirs. This is a big NO. Don't do this. People asking if they can send a friend to pick up a gun from you instead of meeting you themselves. This is also a big NO. It can quickly become an illegal "straw purchase". Again, trust your gut instincts. You have them for a reason. It's safer to heed them and risk offending a person than it is to ignore them and end up the victim of a scam or worse. And always, always contact me, @MacGyver, @Chucktshoes or another moderator if you are concerned and just want a second opinion. We're glad to help. Stay safe out there!
