  2. There’s nothing wrong with your barrel. If you’ve been shooting steel cased ammo, polymer or lacquer residue from the case coating can build up and cause this exact problem when switching to brass. The brass case expands more fully than steel and gets stuck. Thoroughly clean the camber with some Hoppe’s #9 and a .30 caliber bore brush...or one of those fancy AR chamber brushes. I bet that will fix the issue. There is nothing inherently wrong with steel cased ammo but avoid letting a live round sit in a hot chamber for too long as that contributes to the build up of that case coating residue.

  3. First let me apologize as I should have been more clear and certainly did NOT try to lump anyone overweight or obese into 1 category. My disdain is for those that you and I carry along being part of the working taxpayers while they live the care free lifestyle on our dime. They take and never give. They go to the ER or urgent care once a week. Then when their bad habits get the best of them they get a free ride to the end of life. THOSE people got fat and lazy thanks to working the system. And FWIW 10 years ago I was 6'2" 300lbs and not in the best of health. But I got my fat ass up everyday and went to work just so I could wave at my welfare neighbor sitting by the pool I helped pay for in the evening. I made lifestyle changes and im a better man today because of it. But I worked and didn't look for a handout. But I also didn't go pat my neighbor on the back and say "here's half my check cause we are equal". I'll stop the ramble but the point is if you're not willing to pull your weight you shouldn't get the same slice of pie that I get. And it's getting worse

  4. This where it becomes too easy to lump people into categories. I am guilty of the same thing on various categories so not placing blame. I am technically (or not technically, but actually ) obese, 6'1", 295. I also pay in about 55k each year in taxes, so not really considered on the government dole or not paying my fair share. Now, that being said, I am also the first one to say that for example, I should have to pay more for my insurance as I am at higher risk. I certainly don't feel like I am having anyone else pay for me and in fact feel like I pay more than my fair share as a single guy. I think (or know) there are at least a few more of us on this site that probably fit closer into this category than being a fat lazy POS just because we are obese. There are plenty of those as well, but I guess I just say this to being on welfare and being fat aren't really related. Maybe being unhealthy is, but I am not sure being obese is.

  5. Erik, I’m not sure how many COVID patients you’ve dealt with lately that ended up in the hospital, but I can tell you from my experience, that alot of them are having the hard time with it that they are precisely because of their past health decisions. Obesity, diabetes, and history of smoking are absolutely contributing factors in how severe an individual’s reaction/symptoms will be vs someone of good health. So yes, these conditions are a drain on resources, just as they are without COVID.

  13. When we declared obesity as a disease I knew those of us that pay into the healthcare system by force were F***ED. The way I see it YOU being a fat lazy POS all your life and sucking off the system directly affects the healthcare available to me when I come in to get treated. It's like having a bogo for a chik fil a sandwich. Except I buy the 1 and they hand the FREE one to lard ass welfare lifer where he then gets to eat his hot and fresh and bitching about it the whole time and THEEEEEN I'm told i can then eat my cold soggy one. Sounds fair to me .

  18. Hello everyone, I never posted anything here this year, seemed to be a lack of interest here, but maybe I was wrong. I have been posting them on LOCAL SALES NETWORK, and gun owners club. I have been giving a lot of classes this year, most I have ever done. Here’s what I have left September 18 1:00 CST Edible and medicinal plants Oct 23 8:00 CST Small and large game butchering/processing December 11 CST traps and snares If you are on Facebook you can sign up on my page there Edible wild plants and primitive living skills of Grassy Cove, otherwise call or text me at 9313350349. All these classes are free, However for the butchering class I would like a 25$ donation per family to cover the cost of the animals. Please show up if you say you are, I try and schedule all I can, and I hate to turn anyone wanting to learn away. Be prepared to hike several miles for the edible and medicinal plant classes. I have also been giving private classes to whoever has had a group that wanted them.

  19. I've got the 5D Tactical Router Jig PRO for AR-15/9/45 Lowers. I don't have the add on for .308 lowers. I've used this several times but don't plan on doing any more lowers. It includes 2 milling bits, one of which is new, one of which has been used on one lower (readymill B kits; I used a dewalt router) It also includes 5 Blem Forged 7075-T6 80% lowers All the original instructions and parts are included; you've got everything needed to make some lowers! I'm in West Nashville so can meet near Charlotte/White Bridge, Royal Range, etc...

  20. Looking for a cheap ar pistol with a side folder preferably chambered in 223. I’d consider buying up to 1500 rounds with the pistol. Might consider a 9. Not a 300 or 7.62 though. Shoot me a pic with the basic parts list. I’m NOT looking for an expensive gun. Dirt cheap ideally as it’s getting stashed on the property. The day is coming.

  25. This would be my opinion also. I don't think it had anything to do with the rabbit but pure hatred of the hawk and finding one that she could get to, gave her a chance for a payback.

  26. The deer not only spared the rabbit but was not going to let any other deer near it was what seemed odd also. That doe had a run in with a hawk before at one time or another evidently. Still very interesting video to say the least.

  27. Can you borrow another rifle from a buddy, or take him shooting with the problem ammo? The primer in your pics looks good. No over pressure signs. The case on the other hand looks scratched up. The damage to the rim is likely the extractor tearing the rim in an effort to do its job. I would agree with the above, however you said you had ‘rounds’ stuck in the barrel. Do you mean bullets or casings? That is important.

  30. Threw this on here as it's non-firing. Admins correct me if need be. Thanks. This is what the reenactors use, same weight, removeable magazine, working bolt and trigger, and butt stock is operational. No, it cannot be converted to work, its a REPLICA. Would look cool in someone's mancave. $150 $100

  31. Actually, employers in At Will states can fire you giving no reason at all. I've known a couple of managers that have hidden their racism behind at will. Now, if they cite no reason then it is not being fired for cause and the employer must pay unemployment.

  33. I'm I weird ? Ok, maybe that's a rhetorical question so I'll narrow it down. Am I the only one that's bothered by seeing the Tennessee flag being flown upside down ? I see it at fire stations, city buildings and parks and businesses.

  37. A business should be able to run as the owner sees fit and I have the right to tell them to stick it where the sun don’t shine and walk when I don’t like their rules, which I have done twice in the past.

  38. FWIW, I think "right to work" is being confused with "at will employment" in this thread. The former describes a state where employees cannot be compelled to join a union. The latter describes a state where employees can quit or be fired for any (legal) reason at any time, in the absence of a written contract to the contrary. Tennessee is both.

  39. Not being prepared for this mess is a real bummer. It’s a wake up call for a lot of reloaders. I don’t go to the range as often as I use to, but I still reload. It gives me something to do while I sit on my backside at home. I understand that I’ll never shoot what I have piled up, but once all the great nephews and such get the contents of my vaults (U.S. military weapons) they will have plenty of fodder to feed the firearms. Too be honest, I enjoy reloading more than shooting.
