  1. I have a Judge that I find to be rather useless. I have never had a good reason to shoot a snake, but I have a rat problem in an outbuilding (all the more reason not to shoot snakes). I've killed a bunch of rats with the Judge, but it has an effective range on rats of about 4 feet using .410. make sure your are wearing eye protection at those distances, I caught some shot ricocheting to my face last week. I find the grouping using the 45LC out of the Judge to be less than impressive.

  2. I'd just look at what you already have. Basically, you want a gun that is easy to carry, won't get in the way of doing chores and is adequate to deal with any perceived situation. I feel that just about any medium frame pistol/revolver in a reasonable self defense caliber carried in a proper holster would be just about right. My personal favorite camping/hiking/woods gun is this 3" S&W Model 60-4 Chief's Special Target. Just a little 5 shot J-frame .38 Special. But can be carried completely un-noticed unless needed. I think people tend to worry a lot more about snakes than they need to. A snake is very rarely a threat to a human. Most are extremely beneficial to have around. I prefer to simply leave them alone.

  4. I’m an 870 armorer if I can help with anything. There are some concerns with thin barrel when you chop one, and because of timing concerns it’s not practical to do a barrel swap. I don’t know that I would ever bother to chop an old 870. I would buy a $500 Tac 14 as a base for your SBS.

  5. SOLD! Got a staccato c2 looking for a new home, it’s got maybe 150 rounds sent through it. It’s time for projects to be else where. First person with 1800$ takes it home or a trade in that value. Brand new which it basically is, is 200-300$ more so don’t let this pass text me 305 878 0350 SOLD!

  6. Ruger 45LC. $650. Less than 50 rounds shot through it. Not a single scratch on it; spent most of its time in the box except for one black bear hunt where it was by backup but never left the holster. FTF in East Tennessee.

  8. 1967 Winchester 30-30 Canadian Centennial. Original, not refinished. This is the 20" octagon barrel carbine, not the 26" rifle, which seem to be more abundant. I did a complete tear-down and cleaning. Internally looks like new, I doubt in its 55 years it's been fired much. Bore looks great. Check out the carrier and chamber area, no wear to be seen. There are splotches on the bluing of the barrel. It could be re-blued to make it pretty. The receiver and magazine tube look great. The walnut is beautiful. It's the perfect shooter commemorative for nostalgic deer hunting. I fired 5 rounds through it at 50 yards and it shoots sweet. Ready to hunt, and I'll throw in a box of shells. Should be good for 20 deer if you do your part. $800 $650 Final price drop - This one's GONE.

  9. Available is a Ruger American chambered in 300blk. This is the AR magazine compatible version, not the internal mag version. I'm the original owner, round count is between 50 and 75. Rifle is in very good condition and is a joy to shoot, especially suppressed. Barrel is threaded 5/8x24. I'm keeping my muzzle device and have misplaced the o.e. thread protector. Bipod in picture is not included. Asking $500 ftf in and around the murfreesboro area. Must be legally able to own a firearm and willing to show I.D.

  10. Both of these would be rated as truck grade, definitely not collectables. The bore on the Savage looks good, the Hi Standard has some pitting, finish on wood is in bad shape. Surface rust on both, scuffs and dings on the wood. Haven't been shot in 5+ years. I shot a doe with the 30-30 somes years ago, handy little rifle. $125 for the Savage $75 for the Hi Standard

  11. MTSA will host a 2 gun match on April 30 2022. Divisions are Iron sight only and Optics. Classes are Pistol/Rifle, Pistol/PCC or PCC/Rifle. 2 guns are required for each stage. This will be a time plus event. Looking at 200 plus rounds. 5 stages, no long range. https://practiscore.com/mtsa-2-gun-match/register

  12. Hard to believe this is still here after that price drop, especially with all the ammo.

  17. I think iether option is great. I like gen 3's myself over gen 4's but that is merely personal preference. Don't stress over night sights. In my experience the tritium will be faded beyond use on all surplus trade-ins (10 year life). Glock factory tritium sights are cheap, less than $100 for various options and instock many places. This is the bennefit of the proliferation of Glock pistols. Aftermarket support in parts, accesories, magazines, supplies, Glock trained armorers are plentiful. I keep a gen 3 17 on the nightstand. I have owned it for many years. Only thing I have ever done is replace the tritium when mine faded and ghost 3.5 trigger bar with rounded plunger. I clean it when needed and it has never once failed me. Ammo being what is for everyone, reloading is definately your solution. Oh, I wanted to add, both pictured are Austrian guns. This is important as Austrian made Glocks have a more resiliant finish than the US made Glocks, This is due to the Tenifer process in the US is not allowed due to EPA reasons but they can still do the original formula in Europe. If you browse pawn shops for used Glocks, you will notice all the ones with the finish worn off (not removed) are US made Glocks. The Austrian ones, even going back to Gen 1, are still likely to have most of the finish left. Make sure when you order that you are getting an Austrian one.

  19. Hey folks. If you like to have some variety in your life or prefer a Light or a Dark color scheme in particular, you can change the way TGO looks by scrolling way down to the bottom of the page and looking for the "Theme" link. Once there, you can choose between a few different options. Click Theme (1st) and then click whichever color scheme you prefer (2nd), just like this picture shows.

  20. i really just looking for one in the stock config . I drive an $800 car so as much as i want it i cant drop that kind of cash. I get leo discount on cz so i really looking to spend $1500 to $1700. REALLY im super cheap so hoping i could find one that had been dropped and scratched and the owner cant stand to keep it lol. actually come to think of it . One of my favorite pistols is an old slightly beat up smith .38 revolver that i bought from a member here that said he was ashamed to even sell one that was that rough. I LOVE everything about it

  21. Yep - I was waiting for it. My wife has a Judge - why? Cause she wants it. Who cares if it's accurate or not, it's what she wanted.
