  1. I guess technically these are furniture movers. Hu-Lift FM60 1320 lbs Manual Furniture Mover, to be precise. I've used them to move my safes multiple times. My wife and I were able to move a safe without any problem using these. Stock photo below. These sit on either side of the safe and you use the attached ratchet straps to hold them in place. Then crank the handles and they lift the safe and you are now riding on the casters. $125 in the Mt. Juliet area. SOLD

  3. I stopped at a pawn shop down the ways from me that I visit here and there. The other day I noticed this CZ75 sitting in the corner. It's a plain jane 75 but it's hardly been fired and the price was only $333. There is no more striker pistols nor plastic pistols that I want. I have got to where now I am shooting my metal hammer guns a lot more and having fun. I think it's called getting old. The CZ75 platform in my opinion is right on line with the Beretta 92 series and the Ruger P-Series. These three platforms simply run and run. Good ole DA/SA with a hammer and the ability to carry cocked-and-locked or DA with the hammer down. It's heavy and well made. It has the old school original style innards and not the new "Omega" innards. I am very surprised to find this at this price with the crazy high guns prices I have been seeing lately. Thought I'd share. The wet looking stuff around the slide-stop and safety-lever is oil.

  7. I have two friends taking the same beginner motorcycle class I took this weekend. They picked a great day for it. Tomorrow isn't looking good though. Still no motorcycle for me but I did make it out on the lake all day so I can't complain.

  9. Well….since you offered… Looking back, I see you’ve had some interest, so maybe you should just press on? Heck, you know what you paid for it and what you need to get out of it, so stand firm with the price you require. It is a pretty common firearm, so there’s bound to be someone come along who has the same idea that you did when you decided to buy it and they’ll see your listing and give you a holler. You know, for me it’s more about laziness. I’ve got a pistol that I know for a fact I’ve got a buyer for if I would just reassemble and oil it! Gosh that’s so pathetic, I know, I told you I’m just a salted slug. If you can purchase a lower and assemble a firearm out of it that costs less than a new one, maybe you would have more luck that way? I see you here you’ve got perfect feedback for an extremely respectable amount of meets with other users (I certainly envy you!) and you come across as an intelligent firearm owner in your posts elsewhere so I just wanted to give you some encouragement. I think you’re just doing what most people do in this situation which is second guess yourself a bit because it hasn’t sold. Totally 100% normal if you ask me…and you kinda did…in a way, sort of? Heck man, I’m not sure if this helps at all…but when I detected a bit of frustration from you, well my heart just went out to you is all. I recognized a bit of my own internal monologue going on there and thought I’d sound off here simply to give you encouragement…it’s really that simple…everything else was just trying to brainstorm it with you. Best of luck, sir.

  10. Tell you what, I’ll give the OP a few days to answer, and if I don’t hear anything, then I’ll create a listing for it. That’s only fair since I’ve offered to him first.

  11. I think you let me shoot yours years ago and I've wanted one ever since. Once a year I'll shop around but never see one for a price that convinced me. $333 is a steal. Nice find @tercel89

  12. I'm a big name "52 week low" stock buyer/ watcher. Watching Zillow, Disney carefully. Made out pretty good during Covid scare buying fast and mid range restaurant stocks. Won't comment on specific politics but if you're not plugged into political situation and so called news don't get into stock picking. Crisis time is buy time but... Don't gamble more than you're ready to lose.

  14. New PR for bumps. Thought I was being very reasonable on price but I'm open for correction. Don't be shy, I can take it. Or maybe this is just a dumb product on this forum because 78% of TGOers already have a glock 19 and don't want half a firearm.

  18. I just read that article referenced by user Garufa in the opening post. That officer is very fortunate that he wasn’t hurt much worse, don’t you think? I hope they throw the book at them for that madness. Seriously, how insane would you have to be to take off trying to ‘escape’, when the person of whom you’re trying to escape from is in the same vehicle as you are! Don’t get me wrong fellers, growing up I remember my dad driving an LTD where I felt like I was in a different zip code in the back seat from him in the front, but what that gang banger tried was just ridiculous! How some of these officers are able to maintain their wits and discipline during such situations are quick reminders that they’re a cut above someone like myself. My flesh would've quickly got the better of me and, regardless of outcome (I.e. driverless vehicle careening down a mountainside into a river, etc), I think I would’ve at least been tempted to have opened up a third eye socket in this perp. It became pretty clear what the guy was thinking, as I read down a few lines; he wasn’t thinking at all! He was so high he could hockey in a dump truck! Regarding the Detroit connection, I have to agree with the user above…something definitely going on h’yah! I remember reading something or possibly watching something about an enormous gang connection between Atlanta and Detroit several years back. It was highly organized and the amount of weapons, drugs, and money that flowed was staggering…perhaps they have been under so much heat that they’re trying their luck in Knoxville? I was thinking even as far back as when those two young kids were brutally murdered, Christian/Newsome, that there was some kind of Detroit connection with that as well, but I could be mistaken. Regardless, it is undoubtedly a harbinger of greater trouble if something isn’t done to quash it soon - “you gotta nip it…nip it in the bud”!!! Hey, wonder if you can still see Kevin Costner’s Colt from Dances with Wolves at these shows? I’ll never forget how disappointed I was the first time I realized they weren’t talking about his horse!!! Just messing there but that really was a pretty horse.

  19. I'm sure we all feel similar about the ATF, but if they are catching people like this then it sounds like the type of work we want them to be doing. Seems like a legitimate use of their resources. Having that type of criminal activity at the gun shows only makes things worse for the rest of us.

  20. ATF and other LE agencies are well known for attending gun shows. They are also known to try to set up sellers for a bust. One of the most common is to have an out of state buyer try to buy from an un-licensed seller. I once was set up at the Jackson show and had a guy all set to buy a rather expensive gun from me. That one sale would have made my day. But when I asked to see ID, he pulled out a Mississippi drivers license. I had to turn him down. ALWAYS check a buyers ID. As for the gangs. many of the big gangs in large northern cities have associates in southern cities. When one of their boys gets in trouble with the law, they just send them south until things cool down. Works the other way around too.

  22. Knoxville has some sort of connection with Detroit that goes deeper than sharing the same interstate. This is probably the 10th time over the last several years that a local news story has mentioned someone from Detroit being arrested in Knoxville. Several of stories were murders. Gang related I'm guessing.

  23. 90's - I started with a Ruger P85 which was a gigantic turd, and sold that to buy a Smith & Wesson 3913. The 3913 is one that I absolutely should have kept. It was way ahead of its time and a lot of the slimline guns that we have now aren't near as good as that gun was. We ended up finding another in the 2010's and bought it for my wife. During this time I also owned an HK USP 40 and a Sig P226 .40SW. Those were both really nice guns but heavy and not great for carry. No one was making good carry holsters back then, as we know them now. 00's - This is around the time that my love affair with Glocks began. I started with a G23 and then traded to a G27. I quickly saw the error of that decision as the G26/27 trade away the best parts of their 19/23 brothers and aren't even really any better at concealment... so I bought G19 and that was that. I still have my first Gen 3 G19. My favorite gun from this era is my Wilson Combat Professional. It's a bob-tailed Commander-sized 1911. I still have that one and my kids will fight over who inherits it one of these days. I wore this gun to my wedding. 10's - Hard to say. My wife and I were a dual-income, no-kids family for the first half of this decade and were able to buy whatever we wanted. I have a lot of favorites from the 2010s but the best is probably my Staccato C2 that I bought right at the tail end of the decade. 20's - Also hard to say. Walther PDP is great. I love my P365 XL so far. The one that has surprised me the most is probably the one sitting next to me right now: My Sig P320 X-Carry. I never really expected to be a "Sig Guy" and I did not like the first P320 Compact that I owned, or the second one. Third time was a charm, I guess.

  25. I have no problem with FN per se, I'm just not interested in a "reimagining" of the original Hi-Power. Their new High Power is in fact a redesign that just looks like a Hi-Power. Even the name gives it away, as well as FN's own admission. The SA-35 basically a clone of the original, with a couple of improvements, like no mag disconnect and redesigned hammer profile to reduce bite. It is far truer to the original design, and is what I am more interested in. Plus, it's nearly half the MSRP of the FN.

  34. ATF agents and local LE were undercover at this past weekend's gun show in Knoxville "searching for unlicensed sellers and gangs out to arm themselves". They struck paydirt in the form of a Detroit gang member making multiple purchases of guns and accessories. As part of his apprehension, the felon took off with a KPD officer in the back of his van and crashed, causing injury to the officer. https://www.wate.com/news/local-news/atf-investigation-at-knoxville-gun-show-leads-to-arrest-of-detroit-gang-member/
