  1. Smith & Wesson Model 10-8 with heavy 4" barrel, with new old stock S&W factory Magna grips. Gun has been around the block over the years, but still a good shooter, lock up is tight. Grips are probably worth as much as the gun $450 Price drop: $400 firm SOLD

  2. If you try to offer me a lower price an hour before we meet, I will cut off all communication. That, in my opinion, is an amateur move and is a direct reflection of character. The time for price haggling is BEFORE you say that you want it. When you state that you want it, the price is then set. I am beyond fair and reasonable and have always welcomed offers and lowered prices on some of the firearms that I sell…but not after someone has agreed to purchase the item. Please use decorum when using this forum…let’s not have it turn into another harmslist. Good luck, stay safe, and happy selling and buying. my .02 and that’s about it’s worth…

  3. S&W Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman .357 magnum with Herrett Shooting Star grips as well as original diamond magna grips. Pinned barrel, recessed cylinder. Grip numbers match the gun. According to internet search, serial number puts manufacturing between 1963-64. First three digits are S232 ... for anyone more savvy in researching the date. $1200

  4. You're injecting logic when I'm talking about time travel? You're right though, on the whole, it's no less onerous in one period or another. I just wish I could skip around the rules of special relativity to enjoy a few things.

  5. "New Colt AR15- same rifle now being used in Vietnam". I've been to Mahoney's many times. I'd have to believe that these advertised prices are a bit over the actual value at that time.

  6. I like to point this out when people talk about how much better The economy was when gas was 43 cents a gallon. Yeah, gas was 43 cents, per gallon, minimum wage was $1.50 an hour, and the car got 9 miles to the gallon. I know where we're at right now economically sucks, but you look at it in the grand scheme of things and how much we have paid for things in the past, and we're not that far off the charts. We were just really comfortable for a long time. This post does not insinuate in any way that any politician currently in power is or isn't doing even a mediocre job. Just an observation.

  7. From the light hunter series, I don't think they make it anymore, but a great optic for hunting and anything else medium range. Very nice glass for the money. Reticle is like a German #4 with bdc. 400 with the aero mount, 350 without the aero mount. Located in Nashville area. https://vortexoptics.com/razor-hd-lh-1-5-8x32-g4-bdc-moa.html

  9. Located in Murfreesboro, local to me pickup. No trades. Must be 21 and willing to flash Tennessee ID. I also no longer respond to “PM Please” requests- established members or benefactors only, please. FN Five Seven 5.7 pistol. Gen 5, MKII (most recent version). Trigger breaks just shy of 3.5 lbs and it is incredibly consistent. Shoots absurdly flat, virtually no recoil. Round count is under 500 (like most of my guns), purchased in 2018. I haven’t shot it in a while and it deserves a better home. It was sent off to Elite Ammunition for their $450 accurizing package and $250 MKII red front, green rear fiber optic sights. Elite Ammunition takes 16-20 weeks to do this kind of work. Accurizing package includes: Removal of magazine safety Smoothing of the hammer to sear contact. Greatly improves trigger action and creates a crisp release Reducing trigger pull by 50% Increase hammer spring pre-load 20-30% for crisper disconnect Chamber lapping. Aids in extraction and protection of coating on brass Polish and Tune extractor Polishing and Fitting (too much to list) and a detailed cleaning including correct lubrication Each gun is tested to deliver at a maximum of 3 1/2-pound trigger pull before leaving the shop. At the time, they were also including a 3 pack of extra power mag springs that normally sell for $35. Those are included. I didn’t particularly care for the Elite trigger shoe. It was slippery and too short for that trigger guard, IMHO. I swapped it out for one made by Eden Perfection and it’s perfect now. It really is a ridiculously good trigger. The slide shell is made of polymer and there are some minor dings on the top of the slide. Comes with holster. G-Code mounting system, made for use with Streamlight TLR-1 light. I have an extra, old TLR-1 (no S) I will include for you to use the holster. I don’t have the factory sights. I do have the factory trigger shoe. Gun, box, papers, holster, TLR-1 light, 3 mags with Elite Ammo springs (and factory springs). Adding 5 more mags (with springs) to package for a total of 8 mags. $1400 firm

  11. Yes, on the tax dollars. I remember the first time I heard about this I looked it up and there was less than a million uniformed law enforcement officials. There also was less that a million and a half people in all of the military. Any given year they typically sell around 10 million deer hunting permits. Pretty impressive number just for deer hunters. If 10% of the deer hunters said no, that would be a million people. No telling how many other gun owners would say no, I'm betting a lot more than 10%. So add a couple more million. 3 million? That's a lot of people saying no. Weaponsman, before he died, had an article up saying there was up to 660 million guns in the US. I wouldn't be surprised if that was still low. https://billstclair.com/weaponsman.com/index.html%3Fp=33875 Either way, the numbers don't work out in favor of the people that like to take guns. Than means they will have to do something else. Like freeze your bank account, like they did the Canadian truckers (got any extra cash stashed at the house?). Or cut off your Social Security and Medicare. Maybe call your workplace and tell them they think you're a terrorist and cost you your job. Any or all of this until you decide to turn in your guns so you can eat or get medical care. I don't think they will ever come to anyone's home, there's not nearly enough of them to go around. (Adds another piece of tinfoil to his hat and watches his post count go to 6)

  17. Minimum wage in the 60's was $1.60, I think, so you could buy about 18 rds/hr then. At $7.25 today, you can buy the same number of rounds if they're priced at roughly 40 cents each. In terms of purchasing power, not much has changed with ammo prices, seems like ...
