  1. I gained a new daughter in law last night. Looks like anothe may be in the making in the future. I’m truly blessed, but how the hell did I get here? These boys are still supposed to be playing little league baseball in my mind!

  3. I doubt this will get through the Senate. But if it does, #### is about to get real damn spicy. Why? Because f*ck ‘em. I don’t have a boat and I didn’t lose sh!t

  4. I’m with you. I have never lost a gun, and I won’t start now. The house and senate Democrats and Republicans are a bunch of children doing tit for tat. Their actions have nothing to do with serving the people. We are a country run by the elite and lobbyists for the one percent regardless of party.

  5. I finally got to hold & shoot one @ the range yesterday.. The owner cordially let me run a mag with it-Yikes ! I have small/average hands and was pleased how well the pistol sat so comfortably in my hand - the trigger slid to the rear with a mildly increasing tension and then Bam ! The front strap is nicely checkered- the mag well is flared-the recoil was brisk but not "snappy" ... Now I know why there is a 6 to 8 month wait for one. I was grateful to have the pleasure of shooting it and now know what a superb machine a 1911 can be !

  6. But will Harris be an improvement for them? Her approval numbers are often even lower than Biden's.

  7. Covid and other made up age related illnesses may cause him to step down. That’s just my tin foil hat thinking. I’ve believed this since Joe chose Mrs. Harris to run with him. Combined with terrible poll numbers and losing millennials and minorities the dems can’t afford to keep Joe around, especially in 2024.

  11. Yes CONGRATS, it is very nice to have a daughter in law, our first grand daughter was born last January.

  12. Not saying I subscribe to it, but there was a conspiracy theory before the 2020 election that Joe would only serve a little over two years and for whatever reason Harris would become President. That way Harris would serve out his term and still be eligible to serve two more full terms. She may not be making much noise as VP, but Harris is a full blown libitard and would be an absolute nightmare as President. BTW: speculation already is that Joe won't run for re-election in 2024 due to age and health.

  13. Congratulations. But feeling old? I was blessed in January with my first great-grandson.

  14. Well, they’re gone. Now what?

  15. Interesting theory, sir. I guess we’ll see how it plays out shortly. I certainly wouldn’t make an attempt to dispute it. At this point, who knows what the hell is about to take place??!!??

  16. I was just about to say this. I know younger people that can't stand her either. I think we're stuck with Biden until the end of his term.

  17. Unless Manchin and Sinema go along with the left and abolish the fillibuster. Remember Manchin just flip flopped on one major issue. Nothing is certain with this congress.

  19. IT is most likely going to fail in the Senate. But, never underestimate the ability of the Republicans to do something stupid. And never underestimate the ability of the Democrats to threaten wheedle, cajole, and blackmail to get their way. If that weren't the case, there would not have been ANY bills passed since Biden took office. If this bill passes, I predict massive non-compliance. But then that's the goal. If they can threaten us with jail, they think it will make us more pliable.

  20. So I realized something, I never properly introduced myself to the group. Hello everyone, I'm Slatz, former Spring Hill native, now in Fairview. A few of y'all have already done some business with me and have been wonderful people. Look forward to meeting other members of this great community. I do quite a bit of hand loading as well as reloading, so always on the hunt for supplies and sharing where I find it at decent prices. Also always willing to share data.

  21. Location is Murfreesboro. On a form 4. Receiver will stay in safe until stamp comes back, which is unfortunately just how NFA transfers work. No trades, please. NFA is pretty simple for individuals. $200 cashiers check, Form 4 in duplicate (I provide), fingerprint cards (I have them for you to take to a mailbox place to have done), 2 passport photos (CVS). Mail and wait. Gun has never had a malfunction and shoots incredibly flat and soft. 50 round mags feel endless. I have about 800 rounds through the gun but only 50 through this factory barrel, as I was using a CMMG barrel most of the time I have had it. $4,700 for everything, optic included- open to modifying ammo package partial trades considered. I’m probably getting a Wilson Combat EDCX9 (really regret selling the ones I had) or a new WC SFT9. Ed Brown, Nighthawk, custom shop from the usual suspects, as long as it’s 9MM. FN PS90, on form 4 Factory (cut/threaded by TROS- known for quality, not turnaround times) 10.4” barrel CMMG flash hider Man Kave trigger Man Kave extended charging handle QD front and rear sling mount Design Machine Aimpoint mount 8 50 round magazines (w/delrin rollers) (update- mags are brand new) Box, papers, stuff, original parts. $1750, optic not included I will not sell ammo unless gun sells. 2,285 AE 5728A- (priced at ~.60/rd) 550 FN SS198LF green tip- (priced at ~.80/rd) 1,433 FN SS195LF hollow point (priced at ~.80/rd) Updated: the used mags pictures above were swapped by FN for brand new ones. All of the used ones had a little blemish in the same spot that didn’t affect function, but I noticed when I took pics and it bugged me. I bought all of the previous ones at the same time, must have been the same lot

  24. I admit I was wrong on the chances the prior gun bill would pass...but that one was little and less to worry about. This one is essentially the wet dream for an anti-gunner. I really can't see it passing the 60 vote threshold. If somehow it doesn't get subject to cloture, it could pass if Democrats really wanted to have a win on this. This close to a mid-term election they're on the defensive, but have some windows with recent court actions...it could really hurt. I think they want the issue to campaign on more than the win here (for now). The no sunset was a lesson from the 1994 bill. The severability part is standard legislative fare. Requires congressional actions to die by a few blows. Basically trying to avoid a thermal exhaust port scenario.

  31. What all's available locally: cci sv, cci blazer, cci mini mag, Aguilar 40gr rn, armscor hv and sv, Winchester SuperX. But mostly Federal Automatch since it shoots fine and is the cheapest. Did just buy some Wolf Match Extra, so hopefully can try that out soon.

  37. The enhanced ccw gives you the option to carry concealed or open. It also has the ability to carry in other states that have an agreement with TN. Like originally stated about 35 different states. TN maintains a map on the web site that clearly marks those states. The enhanced HCP can be accepted as a legal ID, and a great way to show proof of not being a criminal for private sales. I think that the classroom material is more thorough than the online material and there is a live fire requirement for the enhanced HCP.

  38. Exactly. Too many folks didn’t and don’t understand that. So many were clamoring for us to take action that would put us in direct physical conflict with Russian without fully grasping what that would mean. I don’t know about you, but getting involved in a direct conflict with another major nuclear and ultimately global thermonuclear war isn’t on the list of #### I’m remotely interested in.

  39. I occasionally carry the SC. Reliable but is a bit chonky. I have the Taurus standard tx22 as well as the competition model. The standard is my favorite pistol, fun and only 2 malfunctions in over 2000 rounds.

  41. I have all my IRA and Roth money along with a shared taxable account in VanGuard and all my wife's IRA and Roth money in Fidelity. Both very good companies and easy to transfer money into their system. Just call them and they will talk you through it and send you all the forms you need to fill out. I choose to split our funds even though we consider it all our money not his and hers because of the all eggs one basket rule. I have considered combining them several times but haven't bothered and if for some reason one has a computer problem or something else that locks me out for a time we have plenty in the other to get by on.

  42. No harder than starting a Facebook account. There are several comparable companies. Fidelity is just the one I happened to choose. I wouldn’t say it is superior to Schwab , Ameritrade, etc. For a taxable account such as a regular mutual fund, I tend to select something like a mutual fund with a low turnover ratio, with an eye for avoiding capital gains taxes. An index fund is ideal for this in my opinion. For tax deferred accounts, I’ll just look for mutual funds with a long, high yield performance record. It really depends on what the money is for and your investing time frame. The shorter the window, the more conservative the investment. Heck! What do you think will do well in the future? Tech? Healthcare? Energy? There are mutual funds geared toward lots of focuses. These companies also offer different levels of guidance as well as target date funds that reallocate to more and more conservative investments the closer you get to the target date. I find this stuff fun and fascinating. I understand that isn’t normal.

  43. That sounds fair if you’re happy with what they provide. What other fees are there? Yearly? Buy/sell? Percentage of gain? I fired my last advisor after about the third time she failed to do what I asked her to do. You’d think she’d be telling me what to do. Anyway, I moved everything to Fidelity and do it myself. It gets done like I want it. Very fair and low fees. I’ve made a ton more money since I told her to go pound sand. It takes a bit of effort, reading, and self confidence on your part, but no one gives a damn about your future like you do!!! I also do my own taxes. LOL!
