The New York State Rifle and Pistol Club v. Bruen brought to light for the general public that government can not arbitrarily deny a 2nd Amendment right to a non-criminal citizen "just because". From that case: "the “textual elements” of the Second Amendment’s operative clause— “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed”—“guarantee the individual right to possess and carry weapons in case of confrontation.” In a subsequent case in Tennessee (Columbia Housing & Redevelopment Corp. v. Kinsley Braden, M2021-00329-COA-R3-CV) the Tennessee Court of Appeals ruled that that right can not be taken or given away by mere agreement, hence the reckoning of the terms unalienable (can't be taken from a person) and indefeasible (can't give away willfully, stuck like glue) and why they are important in our constitutions. Even though the plaintiff signed an agreement saying he would not keep arms in that housing unit, the Court found that government can not take that right away and he could not give it up. If the general public knows this now, why does the General Assembly of Tennessee not? In the Buren arguments before the Supreme Court, The Solicitor General of Washington DC told the Court that Tennessee passed a law in1821 that was still on our books making it a crime to carry a loaded firearm. The SCOTUS has ruled that unconstitutional. Contact your State Senators and tell them YOU know the facts and intend to hold them to their oath which says they solemnly swear (or affirm) that as a member of this General Assembly, they will, in all appointments, vote without favor, affection, partiality, or prejudice; and that they will not propose or assent to any bill, vote or resolution, which shall appear to them injurious to the people, or consent to any act or thing, whatever, that shall have a tendency to lessen or abridge their rights and privileges, as declared by the Constitution of this State. Make your voice heard, call your candidates for office in Tennessee today and alert them that you know the truth and expect them to act accordingly.

To further understand the path we are on via Bruen, this from Justice Thomas: "A final word on historical method: Strictly speaking, New York is bound to respect the right to keep and bear arms because of the Fourteenth Amendment, not the Second. For instance, there was no prescription for denying the Right to arms to a infamous criminal if he had served his time and been released. (I remember reading that Jackson emptied the prisons in LA if the criminals agreed to bear arms against England). I am not sure there was even such a thing as a dishonorable discharge, most likely if they needed to drum a soldier out they hung or shot them??? One must consider that if the 2nd protects "the individual right to possess and carry weapons in case of confrontation.", does not that right extend to confrontation by government, which at the time of the writing and adoption of the Amendments, was the whole point of their construction. Our State Constitution plainly says the People are in charge and have the absolute power to alter, reform or abolish the government in such manner as they may think proper. Your General Assembly and every LE Department are mere servants of the People, tax payer paid employees and are to act in accordance with the Constitution, it is in their Oath, they swear or affirm to do so.

AK-V ran perfectly. Put 300 rounds through it of various brands of 9mm, including reloads. It hucks brass probably 20 feet regardless of what you’re shooting. The ALG trigger is outstanding and the gun handles really well. Slightly more recoil impulse than an MP5 platform since it’s direct blow back but still very manageable. Overall I’m thrilled. If I hit 1k through it and it’s still reliable with no obvious issues developing, I plan to SBR.

Me and my buddy been on the hogs for a couple weeks and killed 10 but got a good one the other night. My buddy was on the green light and soon as it lit him up he took off a running. Busted him quartering away on the run at 100 yards, the 450 still took out his lungs an the bullet was caught under the skin behind the opposite shoulder. Probably made it 80 yards before piling up. This is on private land with an exemption to bait and use artificial lights of a night.

Bought my 80+ year old house in 2005. It was originally built without electricity or plumbing, which was added later. Old cloth covered wiring, no junction boxes, wires just twisted together with no tape, wire nuts, or anything, only 4 circuits. I don't know how it did not burn down. I replaced the old 60 amp fuse box with a new 200 amp breaker box, pulled new wire, added receptacles, switches, etc. Plumbing was cast iron and black pipe (not even galvanized), which I also replaced. Two thirds of the crawl space it less than a foot from dirt to joists. Added central heat & air and had to dig trench for trunk ducts. The old gas floor furnace I removed was actually in a hole about 1.5' deep. Nothing is square, level, or plumb. I don't think the builders even knew what a tape or rule was, much less how to use them. Joists and studs may be 1' apart or 2.5' apart. Framing is all rough cut full dimension lumber. All interior walls, floors, and ceilings are 1" tongue and groove, so I guess that is what makes the structure so solid. Support beams all run to base of chimney in center of house which has settled over 1" over time. If you drop a marble anywhere, it will roll to center of house. Doors and windows are nowhere close to a standard size. Any replacement means either framing in or cutting out opening. Any project that would normally take an hour or two turns into a day or more ordeal. And of course maintenance is a constant chore. My wife loves it, but I'm getting too old for this crap.

1994 Ruger M77 Mark II in 7mm Magnum. Comes with Ruger integrated scope rings. Took this on trade from a good friend who bought it new in '94 to hunt elk. It's probably had no more than a few boxes ran through it in its 28 years. Been sitting in his safe. Nice example of one of the early Mark II's, nice patina to the walnut, a few minor hunting nicks, nothing bad. Tried to show the few on the magazine floor plate. SPF Have 15 rounds to go with it. Keeping

I'm a Cleveland, Tennessee native living in the Thompsons Station area. I've been in middle Tennessee off and on for 30 years with brief relocations for my job. I was exposed to firearms at an early age and I still own the first gun I ever shot, a Meriden Model 15 pump .22 which my grandfather gave me. My interests are many and varied, I'm focused on AR's at the moment but all firearms capture my attention. My next purchase will probably be a(nother) handgun, a Dan Wesson 9mm looks good.

I like watching some of these home improvement shows. Every time I've done anything electrical in my house I have a "damn you Mike Holmes!" moment where I find some bigger problem I now have to fix.... Light fixtures without junction boxes ( and cellulose insulation), ceiling fan over master bed held in with one drywall screw, sink disposal switch in same panel as overhead light but they're on different circuits... Been there, done that.

Timex, it takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'. Mine is a chronograph with a leather strap. I've worn it daily for at least 15 years. I've been thinking of getting another one with a bigger date field as it's getting harder to read those little numbers.

Nice looking watches. Working on equipment has and will destroy rings, and watches. Years ago I welded a wrench to a ring changing a battery on a boat, burned my finger as well. After that never did wear anything below my elbows but long sleeves and not around running motors or engines.

I guess high prices and stocked shelves beats low prices and empty shelves. Let’s me make the decision on whether I really need it instead of someone else making that decision for me.

Most younger folks don't even know how to read an analog watch/clock.

Just a simple old $30 Timex. Keeps perfect time and its all I need. I've never been much for fancy watches or jewelry. You do realize that those of us who still wear a watch are dinosaurs don't you? Younger folks today just check the clock on their phone.

Don't get me started on the wiring in this house. Several quirky things, but the one that sticks out the most is that there are 3 switches for the overhead kitchen light, 2 of which are on the same panel. So sometimes you flip a switch and nothing happens, then you flip another and nothing happens, then you go to the third switch and the light finally goes off. About drove me crazy around 1am one morning shortly after we moved in and I couldn't get the light turned off. Then there is the exterior motion detector light that can't be reached and we have no idea what switch controls it.

I had my friend over to ride the bike yesterday. He's hooked. Look at the grin through the helmet. This has been the nicest fall we've had in a long time. Perfect for riding.

Not a bad idea but I also can't tell you how many times over the years that I've seen prospective buyers of high-end pistols get worked up over the silliest of things like seeing a loaded chamber flag stuck into the breach of a Ted Yost, Ed Brown, Les Baer, etc. 1911. It's almost like the thought of anyone other than them, or the gunsmith who hand-crafted it, racking the slide somehow devalues the gun by $3,000. I doubt many people would care if someone crammed a chamber flag down the barrel of a Glock 19, though.

Please don't hate me cuz I'm a Californian lol, 33 years in Long Beach, CA - last year was in Tempe, AZ but after my last layoff I threw a hail mary (cuz I wasn't going back to Cali) and move to Hermitage, TN within 2 weeks of receiving a job offer and start date out here. Love all the greenery, lakes, and small town feel in the outskirts of Downtown Nashville. I'm a big Ducks fan (sorry Smashville), Chargers and used to be Angels fan but I lost all interest in MLB years ago. I'm part of a Titans fan group on facebook, big fantasy football player so I cheer for a bunch of teams and Titans are definitely one of them lol own a Toyota 4Runner 4wd, 12 ft kayak for lakes/rivers, and a few guns. Love to start venturing out into the wilderness or learn how to fish from my sit-in kayak (unless yall got a boat, I'll take a boat anyday over my kayak lol) loved my time in Arizona and now in Tennessee....it's great to feel more personal freedom then I ever got to experience for most my life

obsidian arms has AR specific punch sets that I would recommend. DO NOT use the Geisselle reaction rod. Instead, get a Midwest Industries Upper Reciever Rod. Midwest also has a good punch block you can use. You really didn't tell us if you are assembling a lower or upper. Or both?

Sounds like they are yours, as long as you don't expect me to get up at 0400 to meet.
