You would think after the 5th Circuit Federal Appeals Court b-itch slapped the ATF over the bump stock ban overreach they would have abandoned this folly to change the rules on pistol braces. But, no. Full steam ahead because we - the ATF - answer to no one. To paraphrase Whose Line is it Anyway: "Welcome to the ATF, where everything’s made up and the law doesn’t matter.”

I have never understood how you can modify darn near everything you own except a firearm. This stuff is unreal and getting out of control.

I have gun magnets underneath on my desk at work, home and gun room table with guns on each of them. Never had any issues. I love the quick, easy access.

Twenty years ago gun magnets were touted as great for securing handguns in various and often hidden places. I checked them out but wasn't impressed as they seemed too weak to do the job. Who wants to risk their handgun falling at the most inopportune time? After checking out the now available gun magnets I bought these. Gun magnet I have been pleasantly surprised at their strength. This is my fully loaded CZ 75b easily being held very securely on both the side and top. Even shaking didn't dislodge the firearm. They have a thick rubber coating to prevent scratching your guns. While I wouldn't trust the adhesive to hold up my guns (no tests, just wouldn't trust it), screwed into wood, brick, metal, etc. it should hold up any handgun without difficulty. I'm impressed. It's another option for concealment.

I have one that holds my shotgun, a single heavy barrelled 12ga.

A cheap alternative is speaker magnets. Just go to a thrift store and buy some cheap speakers. Take the magnets out. Put some high strength double faced tape on one side and stick where the sun don’t shine to hide your pistol.

I know y'all are getting tired of me harping on this. But the new FN is NOT a Hi-Power. It looks something like the original and has the name. But its a totally different gun. Good gun from what I hear, but it ain't a Hi-Power. I really think the SA-35 is the best deal out there right now. It is a direct Hi-Power clone and it comes from the factory with the most desired upgrades at a very reasonable price. However, I do want to check out the Girsan versions. I'm hearing good things about them too.

This is on the AR-15 platform not the AR-10. Only have 20 rounds through it. Just enough to check functionality and sight in my scope. As a Christmas present to myself,I recently acquired a Sears and Roebuck Ted Williams Model 100 (thanks @chance77. This is a Winchester Model 94, made by Winchester for Sears. It is chambered in .30-30 and is a post ‘63 Model 94 from either the late 60s or early 70s. There are not great records of the serial numbers from these rifles, from what I can tell. The rifle came with a Weaver side plate for a Weaver side mounted scope on the left side of the receiver. Since it was already there, I went ahead and picked up the correct Weaver 1” scope mount and a vintage Armsport 3x9x34mm scope with a Duplex reticle. The side mounted scope is interesting. If I was a righty, I think it would be awkward to use. But being a lefty, it is fairly easy to just press my cheek up and into the stock move my left eye to the scope from the iron sights. I’m looking forward to getting it to my buddies range and sighting in the scope.

I'm probably crazy to put this much into a $190 gun, but it has 2-tone Cerakote frame/receiver, buffed hammer/sear, rubber mag base pads, red wattle grips from Hungary, and all new pins/springs.

From what I can gather, the heavier the better with 55 gr. being on the low end of "acceptable" and with heavier grain bullets getting better from there.

Just a heads up on the 6.5 Grendel cartridge. It is easy on the recoil, hits deer and coyotes hard and easy to reload. I have taken 5 deer and 3 coyotes with mine ranging from 60 yards to 200 yards. Perfect for woman and children, even an old man likes it

I once purchased guns just because I liked them and wanted them. For the past few years, I have only purchased guns for self-defense purposes, and they all have been new ones. I did purchase some bargain deer rifles, but after years decided to give them away also. I kept one, a Savage Axix 7MM 08 just in case I need it. I have settled on S/W MP 9 MM in Pistols, and Taurus 617 7 shot 38Spl/357 Mag revolvers. Also have a 5 shot J frame for backup. At soon to be 75 Y O, I have started giving my guns to my grandchildren so my wife will not be forced to be bothered with that task. I am keeping my MP's and chosen Revolvers that I have purchased for SD. I do have multiple firearms of my chosen ones. Just in case I need them. I have enjoyed almost every gun I have purchased or inherited over the years. Always cleaned them at least once a year whether shooting them or not. Collected many guns so my grandkids will not go unprepared for any need. Still need to thin the heard some more but am getting toward the end for now. Two of my grand boys have put the hunting guns to good use this fall and winter. Kinda makes me proud because when their ages, I did the same. It gave me a sense of pride to be able to put meat on the table. My grandboys are doing the same with the guns I have given them.

I sorely miss several of the few things I have sold. Once I finally got into a financial position where I didn’t really need to sell anything, I pretty much stopped. I can also say the older I get, the less I buy. I guess I have pretty much everything I ever wanted.
