Honestly, it's probably a good thing I have a wife. Otherwise I would just be sitting on gunsafes watching football on a 110" tv, eating funyuns and Ramen.

As I’ve explained to my wife (repeatedly), it’s not my fault- my son was the manager of a gun store in East Tennessee. He would call me and say “Come to the store and bring $150” or “Get here in 20 minutes and bring $250”. A father’s duty to his children is great- I had to go along with him or risk hurting his self-esteem. See? Not my fault at all.

Didn't like how the changing handle made using the scope a pain, so I decided to just go side charging! BCA 10 with a 20in barrel. Now all I need is to get a bipod and find a decent range with 100 yards! Excuse the background, I'm doing laundry

I don't see the polymer CZ's move very quickly on here over the years, so I want to attest to the reliability of these pistols. I have a gen 1 "Duty" model which is my EDC. I have thousands of rounds down the pipe and it's ran every ammo type i've put through it without a hitch. This model includes all of the upgraded components after the re-release which makes it even better! Don't let the polymer fool you, I will NEVER get rid of mine. GLWS OP

I'm in pretty good shape as far as primers go for the next several years. BUT, as with most of us that handload, I don't want to run out. So, I've been following various forums and have seen these primers mentioned (sold through the Norma website). Several folks have posted that they have ordered these with free shipping and no Hazmat. Sounded too good to be true. So I continued to watch and wait. I kept reading about positive experiences both as regards the primers and the no Hazmat/free shipping. Then a 20% discount code popped up. I thought, well I've never paid $60.00/1000 primers before. I only paid $27.00/K for the last I ordered pre-Covid. But figured "What the heck" So I logged onto the Norma site and ordered 3000 primers for $180.00....total. I received shipping notice and FedEx delivered the primers 4 days later. I had read that the primers worked well, just that they needed to be fully seated. I loaded up 40 rounds of 9mm... 20 using my old Dillon 550 to seat the primers and 20 using my RCBS hand priming tool. Next I loaded 40 rounds of .38 spl full wadcutters. 20 rounds using the RCBS and 20 rounds using my single stage Lee press. Finally I loaded up 20 rounds of .32 S&W longs. All using the Lee single stage press. I took my G-19, S&W Shield in 9mm, LCR in .38 spl, my S&W Model 15 (.38 spl) and my LCR in .327 mag (.32 S&W loads) over to Range USA this morning. Only one round required a second strike. This was a 9mm in my stock factory innards Glock 19. And it was a Dillon seated primer. So, one round out of 100 required a second strike. I have no complaints... well, except I wish the price would come down more...but don't we all. FYI.. these primers sold out the day I ordered. But from what I read on various forums Norma runs this deal from time to time. Just thought I'd share some, to me anyway, good news. I normally only shoot my G19 and .38 LCR each week. But I sacrificed all the darn cleaning I still have to do so I could share this info with you folks.

I've had a desire for a CCO-style 1911 in the back of my mind for a long time, but it wasn't like a pressing need so I never really looked into getting one. Cut to last month when I decided I'd treat myself to something for my birthday, only to discover that my Right Now options were either a used Dan Wesson on gunbroker or an Ed Brown for $lol. There were also a few stock photo ads on GB for these Fusion pistols, which I wasn't familiar with at the time. I guess the guy who used to run Dan Wesson left and started his own company making 1911 parts and eventually whole guns. I wasn't going to take a chance on a gunbroker ad with a single manufacturer-provided photo, luckily a local shop offered them for order on their version of that sales website every other gun store seems to use. The Good: The pistol comes in a big nylon range bag with one mag, a bushing tool, and an extra (lighter?) recoil spring. Inside the big bag, the pistol is wrapped in a plastic bag covered in more oil than I've used to fry chicken. Build quality is great, very solid. Slide to frame fit is tight but very slick with no binding, the thumb safety has a very tactile click to engage/disengage but isn't difficult to do either direction, it just feels good. The frame and slide both are milled out of steel so it's pretty heavy for a smaller gun which helps tame the mighty 9mm recoil. The front strap is also sharply checkered and the trigger guard slightly undercut which are a nice touch for what is ultimately an inexpensive brand. Fusion builds these with Series 70 internals so no firing pin safety. The trigger is pretty good; little to no noticeable takeup, crisp break, short reset. My cheapo digital trigger guage measured a pretty consistent ~4lbs right out of the box. I'll take it. This was the first 50 rounds I put through it after I cleaned all the shipping oil out of it. See if you can spot which hole is from me being surprised by the light trigger and sending the first shot prematurely The Bad: This thing refuses to feed any type of hollowpoint. It has a non ramped barrel, and even if it will strip the first round from a full mag the next will get hung up. I've tried multiple different types of magazines including some that were recommended with a built in "feed ramp" (really just a little lip on the front to help guide the round) and multiple different ammo brands all to no avail. Ball ammo hasn't given me any problems over a couple hundred rounds but defensive ammo is a no go, which is kind of an issue for what was intended to be a carry gun. I've got an assortment of recoil springs to swap out, in a day or two I should have a magazine catch delivered that will seat the mags a little higher than standard, and I'm going to have to try the Wilson mags everybody raves about. After that, it's going back to the factory. Final Thoughts: For ~$800, this is a pretty good range gun. Accurate, low felt recoil, good trigger. Want a defensive gun? Save up for something better.

I hate selling firearms. I regret selling all but one- a Taurus .380. It was truly awful. Other than that, I regret every one. That said, I come to the realization every so often that it’s getting out of hand- like when I open a case and have to think hard to remember where and when I bought a certain one. When that happens, I try to use logic to decide when, if ever, I would use the particular firearm. I did that exercise Friday night and decided that three of them could go. I listed the first and then talked myself out of selling the other two. That didn’t take long. Then, Sunday morning another member added an endorsement for the particular gun that I did list to help me sell it. As I read how much he likes the gun, I thought “I’d sure like to have one of those…”. Wait a second- I have one of those- why am I trying to sell something that I want and already have. It’s still listed for sale, but only under protest. Does anyone else have this problem?

The woman's family lives out of state. She used to live here. Had moved up to the NE US. She had a stroke in 2019. Thus the photos with her family in a hospital. She decided to come back to East TN to live with a friend. On the flight back she started feeling unwell and was taken to the first hospital. The woman wasn't able to do anything for herself or think coherently enough to get a ride... plus she knows she still needs medical help.

I have one for sale in my shop in CA, but it would be a chore to get it here.

You sparked a memory of my first handgun. I had just moved to Memphis and a guy I was in school with was telling me where to stay away from and where was safe-a complicated issue when you’re not from there. He asked “what gun do you carry?” I confessed that I didn’t. He said “ you have to have a gun-this is Memphis”. He sold me a Rossi stainless steel .38 spl with Pachmayr grips for $100. It was my backup when I worked LE. It goes to the range once a year. I just replaced the firing pin last Fall and she’s back to factory spec. I tried to sell it once at the Knoxville gun show, but the guy changed his mind. I was so glad he did as I drove home. It won’t be up for sale until I’m gone- even then my son will probably want it.

You speak the absolute truth!! These are great guns, often referred to as Glock Replacements with better ergonomics. I love the P-07 platform and would keep it but it simply sits in the safe as I carry and shoot the snot out of my CZ 75 P-01s!!!

It handles really well standing. The bipod doesn't affect the handling with my front hand. I was a little concerned that it would, but it works very well.

A bolted box is the best reasonable option*, but a bolted box doesn't work on every vehicle and smash-n-grab thieves don't often carry bolt/cable cutters. A cable-tied box is a reasonable alternative, IMO. I wouldn't leave a $3000 custom piece in one, but if someone steals my $400 Glock, I really don't care. It's easily replaced. I'll be more upset about having to deal with the shop to fix the vehicle damage caused by the break-in. If a thief knows it's there and comes prepared with cable snips, he could just as easily come prepared with a battery drill and some sockets and pull the whole seat off in < 30 seconds to take the bolted box. Cable-tied boxes are also handy for travel. I can put my handgun in it in my checked baggage, and I have a place to keep it in the rental car if needed. *The absolute best would be to have something welded in place. But that's not reasonable for very many people.

I’m thinking about a purge. The heirlooms are staying but the other handful probably just need to go. If those go I’ve got my eye on one bbq style then I’m done shuffling. The ones I buy new usually hang around a long time. The used ones get flipped. I’m to the point where I’m done flipping.

In local news Miss Edwards had come to area months earlier by bus then showed up at at least two hospitals displaying drug seeking behavior Medical Doctors did what they could and released they. asked if she wanted a taxi she refused. Then refused to leave was asked multiple times Police arrived and asked her to leave area again she refused a arrest resulted while in route is became unresponsive and was again taken to another hospital. The DA and and independent counsel have determined no. wrong doing we have Great Law enforcement Firefighters and EMTs in East Tn and should be thankful for them Support your local officer’s the people you go to church with and live next door to. My pleasure @Darrell. I was concerned about having 3K of primers that wouldn't work! That's why I tried them out on multiple handguns. I think that if I am meticulous about seating them they'll work fine for range use. My Glock 19 usually sets off everything just fine. Shield as well. I have to think I could have done a better seating job on that one example...or maybe it was just the primer... I know I have a Smith or two that likes Federal primers. So now I know I can devote at least 3K of my Federal primer "stash" to my picky Smiths.

I've always been a cash guy. I have one credit card and its used mainly for internet purchases. I pay it off at the end of each month. If I can't pay cash, I don't need it. However, much of the younger generation already deals mostly in electronic money. They're used to it. Many use a debit or credit card daily for something as small as a soft drink at the local store. How many of you pay your monthly bills through automatic payment plans or receive direct deposits? No doubt at some point in the future cash will go away. Also bear in mind that the vast majority of "money" in this world is actually nothing more than numbers in a computer somewhere. If you want to make a large cash withdrawal, many banks need a couple of days to get the cash together as they don't have it on hand. BTW: they will report a large withdrawal to the feds. An all electronic economy opens the doors to all kinds of nefarious possibilities. Never underestimate the criminal mind. And that includes our elected criminals as well. May be a moot point anyway. Biden's EO simply authorizes a study into the possibility of an all electronic economy. Ain't nothing written in stone yet.

While I agree that taxes would be a major point, it surely is not the whole point. Those kinds of proposals are insidious, and if you and I can think of ways that they could be used to benefit one political group over another, or to exert control over one group or another, then you can be sure that someone in government will see those ways as an opportunity.

It really does relate to the 2A in a very fundamental way. If paper money goes away and is replaced with digital (and don't think that can't happen. Almost all your bank transactions and credit card purchases are digital) then Uncle Sugar will be able to monitor every purchase made by everyone. Data drives the modern world, and a fully digital economy would make it easy to see where you and I spend our money. The implications go far beyond the 2A, of course. I'm an old, retired guy. With the current ESG protocols it would be pretty easy to say, "Hey, that guy's retired, he sure doesn't need to fill his gas tank more than once a month", and set it up so that the gas station won't take my money card. I can think of some benefits, too, but those I can think of are not worth the downside.

Mine are not for sale!!! But... I have a CZ P-09, P-07, Cajunized 75B, Cajunized SP-01 Phantom, and a SP-01 (my EDC). If you can wait a week, you can try them before you buy something you may not like (your ammo, of course). Obviously I like CZs. I live 2 miles from the Stones River Gun Range on Hobson Pike. Its only open on Fri, Sat and Sundays. I plan on going next week to try and sight in my new PSA Dagger.

I guess I'll be the resident A-hole here but where the hell was her family when she was discharged ? There's selfies with her and her daughter? posted while in the hospital bed. No way I'm letting them set mom on the curb and me not be there to get her. That's the first tragedy in this incident. Im not dismissing the actions that followed but for her family to come on after and point fingers is unsettling.

I sold my two P365s in favor of the NRA coyote XL. It conceals great for a big guy. I just purchased the Macro grip module and five mags to try the slightly larger package with the XL slide. IMO there are no bad choices when it comes to the P365.

P365 is great. Howver, I don't like slide comps at all on pistols. My Hellcat, no comp, works great with Holosun 407/507 kx2 (needs two studs milled down which is cheap to have done) I dont like the stock trigger on the Hellcat so put in an aftermarket one, Have a great DeSantis leather owb holster. Honestly, I rarely carry it because am tired of cleaning smudges and debris off red dot lens. On the other hand, it will put shots right on the spot at the range . It is reasonably fast to draw and aim (actually might be getting faster than irons considering my aging eyesight). Both great guns, just don't like comps edit: Don't fall for the "bargain" Romeo 0 sight. It is too fragile and difficult to adjust, imo.

I had a PT145 for a while. It was the only Taurus I ever owned and the only 45acp gun I ever owned. It was a good gun and I can't say anything bad about it but it was heavier than I liked for carry. The gun wasn't heavy. It was the 45 ammo.

Don't sell it. You can buy the Macro grip module and some 17-round mags and put the XL slide assembly on it and then you'll have the ammo capacity benefits of the Macro without the bullet-velocity-reducing drawbacks of its "compensator." Cheers, Whisper

As a couple have stated those are Smith&Wesson mod1 top break Revolvers. Those are in really good condition, go over to the Smith&Wesson Forum that is linked and those guy's can really help you out with information on them.

Congrats, I think you're gonna love it. I loved mine so much I did a few upgrades. She shoots great and fits my hand like a glove...one of my favorite guns I own.
