I thought I'd show off some work that I had done to a spare grip module for my Staccato C2. A gentleman named Zach, who posts as "Grip-It-Customs_" on Instagram (do note the trailing underscore in his name) did this for me last week and I couldn't be happier. Not only is the texture that he laid down perfect for EDC use, but a byproduct of removing the factory grip texture is that the overall circumference of the grip is slightly reduced. Since I'm a size-medium glove wearer, this translates into making the gun really fit my hand better than it already did. And for comparison, this is an old photo of what the gun comes with from the factory... I really couldn't be happier. And since the grip modules on these, while not exactly inexpensive, are replaceable it's not like I have permanently altered the gun in any way. Anyway, I feel like this is an example of plastic surgery gone RIGHT. Lord knows we've seen some stipple jobs on TGO that, no offense meant to the owners of those guns, looked like someone's dog had chewed on them for a few hours.

Another source to get a feel for current values is GunBroker.You will have to search the completed sales, then it’s best to sort those by number of bids (most to least). This will give you a feel for the interest in the sale. Just remember that sometimes folks go a little stupid on GB and get in a bidding war. I usually look at multiple sales and then try to come up with an average value based on guns of the same condition. I also then price depending upon how quickly I want to move the fire arm.

If you can get a list of the guns and some pics there are a lot of guys here that could give you real world values.

I found an unrecognized charge on my credit card yesterday. Oddly, it was from last week and it turned out to be fraud. The weird thing is that whoever got my card number only used it ONCE and that was a week ago. I've only had this happen one other time and they made a lot of big attempts in rapid succession. This person bought themselves an e-book on Amazon's Kindle site and that's all. Amazon wouldn't tell me who it was or do anything about it, but the bank reversed the charge immediately and said they'd investigate. It was only $9.99, but I hope they prosecute. I hate thievery with every ounce of my being. The target device that downloaded the e-book will be easy to find and I gave them the Amazon order number, but I won't hold my breath. Mostly I want them punished for making me cancel my card and get a new number.

Well, this one sucks. I've not had it long & wanted one for yeeeears, but I've got some major upcoming expenses that have to take priority. I can always buy another one later. It still sucks though. Pretty much mint condition, no marks anywhere I can find & a low round count. Not sure how many @AuEagle put through it, previous to my ownership, but I've put less than 100 shots down the pipe. It comes with 1, 10 round & 1, 20 round mag, plus the sling, Burris Scout 2-7x32 scope in Leupold rings. Also included is the USGI M14 manual of arms. It's a rock solid outfit & great fun to shoot! It has the least recoil of any rifle I've ever shot, bigger than .223! Never had a misfire or malfunction. $2000 all in or $1700 for the bare rifle, both mags & sling, no scope or rings (what I have in it)

Hello, I am selling a BART police 357 Magnum revolver Model 586 serial number ABU7580 with the factory repair M stamp. The revolver seems to be in very good condition . I am not any kind of expert just my opinion. the bluing is intact (not holster worn). Cash only, in person sale within 30-40 miles of Cookeville.

I've enjoyed the C2 more than I enjoyed my P, and I really liked the P. It was just heavier than I prefer for carry purposes. The grip reduction and stippling on this grip module has allowed me to really say that I love the way the gun feels in my hand, though. While it was a small change in overall circumference, it was enough of a change to make a big difference in my enjoyment of the gun. It will probably prevent me from spending the money on a new CS, actually. I see no reason to anymore.

Good to go on all of that. The Remington is the oldest and it's way past the corrosive era.

I've had it happen twice with gas station purchases. One time it was $200 on my American Express, another time it was $600 on my bank card. All the while I still had my card. My cards were canceled and reissued and the money was reimbursed with no issues.

When you go to Europe they NEVER walk away with your card. You pay right at the table with a portable card reader. I've read that when Europeans visit the US they are confused and concerned when waiters walk off with their card. Thankfully more restaurants here are starting to let you pay at your table. Having said that, I worked in a restaurant for 6 years and I don't think that many waiters are stealing card info. It's probably more likely that people are falling for phishing hacks through their email and then info is compromised.

There's a book available called "Bluebook of Gun Values". It might be worth buying the latest edition in order to get a ballpark idea of the gun values. There are auction sites, too, which seem to yield top-dollar for guns that sell. But there is an attendant hassle that goes with using that route. KahrMan is on the money, too.

The hipsters and microbrew types are just as reactionary…and capitalist as the puritans passing morality laws. They’re going to make a buck because it’s just too easy and they will actually make a buck off their clientele’s emotions. The pendulum swings wider and wider.

Alleycat... The " whose moral compass " question is a great one. One can make the case that laws are not " moral decisions " at all; but are rules that society agrees on via the vote ( here, at least for the time being ) and enforces via the law to keep guardrails on society. I happen to think that there are, indeed, " moral compasses " within all of us, whether we believe so or not. Morality is a personal issue as I see it. You decide to do or not to do certain things; therefore; morality cannot be imposed or demanded within an individual; it's kinda like being pregnant, you are or you ain't; there is no continuum of in between choices. That is the reason for the " you can't legislate morality " speech. Morality is a personal choice. America is unique in that different views are tolerated, but there is consensus via " representative Gubt " as to what the rules are and a fair bit of compliance ( up to now ) as to the majority of citizens agreeing with n following those rules. The purpose of the law is to control behaviors within society, and to punish,remove, or eliminate those who do not comply ( in an ideal society ). It is the framework of agreed to rules under which that society operates. It keeps society orderly. In our society, representatives of our society choose these rules ( laws ). Within that number of " representatives" there are all kinds of folks... The whole spectrum of society. There will be freaks, fruits, fairies, guttersnipes, priests, preachers, jhadists, and folks of good will in their number. They will agree on and make into laws the rules our society enforces. Choose your " representatives" carefully, they are your voice. That is exactly why this " McNally " thing is so hot a topic. leroy... junior lecturer in morality and ethics.

I have no problem with the drag show legislation. LGBTQ folks can do whatever they like with each other, but when they wear fake boobs and a bondage outfit and do a stripper-ish routine at the local zoo or library and bill it as a “family friendly” event for kids, that’s a problem.

Beretta 81 BB in .32 ACP. Easy to carry, has a decent trigger, light weight,12 in the mag one in the pipe, accurate. Not powerful compared to bigger cartridges but I can hit you in the head with it at any reasonable distance all day long. Love how it feels in your hand, like a full size gun. Mine was surplus from the Italian Forrest Service and was like new for $349.00 and shipping a few years back and can still be found for about $100.00 more as can the .380 version. You can convert the 81BB to .380 with a barrel and magazine swap and shoot both. Not what I carry every day but I have carried it quite a lot, much more than I ever imagined I would.

I have had my credit card information stolen three different years. Each time they tested my credit card with a $1 or $1.50 small transaction. One time they charged my credit card with a small transaction to test that the card was still valid and then issued a credit for the same amount. Since both of those transactions were pending transactions, I would have not known about the test if I relied on seeing the transactions on my statement. However, I have text and email alerts setup on my credit card which alerted me to the test transactions. I have text and email alerts setup with all my financial institutions. Each year I renew my fraud alert with one of the credit report companies which gets shared to the other two credit report companies to make it harder for someone to open a new credit account in my name.

That sucks. My card got hacked several years ago. The card company called me about it and refunded the money then canceled my card. The charge was made in Jacksonville, FL. I have never been there. I figured my card got skimmed at a gas pump. Apparently that crime is growing and thieves are getting more sophisticated at doing it. Now I pay with the cashier just because I don't trust the card readers. Especially the ones that aren't monitored closely.

I watched these guys last night, good stuff about this subject. Gun owners who want to sell or buy more than 10 firearms a year will be in trouble. A loved one selling off a collection are going to have a very hard time as well.

I don't recall seeing the Star PD mentioned, I had one of these alloy framed 45 acp pistols around '89 -'90. Despite having to use it proprietary (edited for spelling) 6 round magazine and having to replace it's recoil shock buffer at least every 1000 rounds it was a great and very easy to carry little autoloader. IIRC it had adjustable sights but shot great with 230 gr "hardball" and 230 gr Hydra-shoks. AND it didn't have a grip safety! I liked that feature as it was a "trend" back in the day to pin the grip safety to ensure reliable function in less than ideal grip situations. Think entangled fighting and/or non-dominate hand use. It's thumb safety has a decent size and very positive in use. I believe Star stopped making them around 1990. When I first purchased this little gem I bought around 20 of the plastic buffers. Those buffers sold out (dried up) quickly when Star dropped this PD from it's line up. I regret selling it from time to time...but I ran several thousand rounds through it without a hitch. It was really a well made alloy frame pistol for the time. But without replacement buffers it's life/use would have been limited... I'll "defend" it for what it was at the time LOL.

Another highly underappreciated gun is the Colt Mustang. This little pocket .380 is a wonderful pistol. Its basically a miniature 1911. Its locked breech design make recoil easy to manage and its more than accurate enough for its purpose. I have two of these. A first issue all steel model from 1983 and a newer XSP version. The XSP was what I carried on my daily exercise walks. With its polymer frame and stainless steel slide, its about as sweat proof as a gun can get. This is the only plastic gun I own. or likely ever will. But does it get the recognition it deserves? Hell NO! Instead you hear about the Sig P-238 and Kimber Micro .380. Both of which are clones of the original Mustang that preceded them by many years. AND the Mustang is usually as much as $100 cheaper.

I'll add a couple more. Makarov's, once the trigger weight is adjusted, are fine guns. Of course they are simplified Walther PP versions. The Tokarev pistols are pretty good takes on Browning's designs and the 7.62x25 is a fantastic round. Wish the round had more market.

After several suggestions and research of those suggestions, I went with an Olight Baldr S with the green laser. I found a great price at less than $100 which gives me enough left over from what I had allocated to get another set of TruGlo TFX Pro sights for another CZ. What sold me on the Olight was the laser is above the flashlight making it closer to the bore. Thanks for your suggestion.

I am less than an hour away and avoid that area. It is not my idea of fun.

I'm a big Olight fan. The Bantam 3 or Warrior line are great carry lights. More lumens, great battery life, and I like the recharge design.

I have 3 requirements for a flashlight: 1. Bright 2. Handy 3. Batteries don’t leak and ruin the thing Don’t care who make it or where. That’s all I want.
