  11. My daughter age 39 and a mother of four has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. She's seen the docs (got a second opinion) and the oncologist and is being set up for treatment of her particular type of cancer. Without going into to much detail I am asking that for those of you that pray may include Sarah in your prayers. She' a good daughter, wife and mother and she can use all the help she can get. Thanks in advance to all of you that may take the time.

  12. I love Sako's. That is why I bought this even though I don't shoot this caliber. Since I never shoot this I though I would pass it on to someone who would actually use it. It is a 1967 L61R Sako Finnbear in 338 Win Mag. Overall it is in great shape. The bore is nice and shiny. Another reason I bought this is because it had all of the original paperwork from when it was first ordered. Just made it a little more cool in my eyes. It also comes with period scope bases and a box of Hornady Precision Hunter ammo. Not really looking for trades right now but you never know. $1300 $1000

  13. JUNE 10 we will be at the Windrock Shooting Range for a meeting of the Harris Combative Strategies TN/GA/AL training group. Everyone is welcome! This 4 hour training event will take place after lunch following the monthly Back Up Gun Match at Windrock Shooting Range. If you want to REALLY test your skills come shoot the BUG match and then shoot the Training Day qualifications with your backup gun ! Subject: HOW QUALIFIED ARE YOU ? Instructor: Randy Harris Randy's Bio Harriscombative.com Location: Windrock Shooting Range 720 Windrock Rd, Oliver Springs, TN 37840 http://www.windrockshootingrange.com/ DATE : Saturday June 10 Time: 12:30 PM EASTERN time – 4:30PM EASTERN time Price: $80 – You can register and pay through Eventbrite OR you can pay at class by cash or check OR you can pay by electronic payment by paypal or venmo (Friends and family option) in advance OR I can take payment by credit card (call or email for options on that – 423 827 9133 or Randy@harriscombative.com) Be sure to RSVP with Randy if you plan to attend and pay at class. Paypal – cruelhandluke2000@yahoo.com Venmo – www.venmo.com/Randy-Harris-47 Eventbrite - EVENTBRITE LINK What you need to bring: Pistol, at least 2 pistol magazines and at least 150 rounds of pistol ammo. Revolvers are welcome if you want to party like it is 1899. We will be shooting some challenging warm up drills and then the Bakersfield PD Qual, Federal Air Marshal pistol qualification, FBI pistol qualification courses and a few others and finish up with a man vs man shoot off on steel and bowling pins! I will also keep records of these (if you are happy with your scores) for future reference and use . This will serve to get your shooting prowess on record by a third party in case it is ever needed in the future in some legal matter. This is also something your church might like to have for their records if you are a member of a church security team. As far as the courts are concerned if it isn’t documented it didn’t happen so this is an opportunity to get some official scores on paper in case you ever need them . Not only that but it will be a good day of shooting some somewhat challenging and well known courses of fire. This is an EXCELLENT chance to bring someone you know who might need a “reality check” on where their skills actually are. We all know people who are gun owners who keep threatening to get some training. The training days (especially the pistol qual day) are a great way to get them into that and show them what is possible with some directed practice and see where they REALLY are at their present skill level. And it is a good chance to get to meet people with the same interests that don’t think you are “crazy”. And just a final reminder EVERYONE is welcome ! The TN/GA/AL Training Group started as a way for alumni of classes taught by Randy Harris to get together and stay current on skills and get some coaching in a one day format at a discounted price from what a normal class would cost. As it continued to grow we opened it up to ANYONE who is interested in coming out and learning some skills and just seeing what it is that we do and meet some new people with the same interests. So even if you are not an alum of one of my classes you are welcome to come join us!

  16. We've bought the Aldi hams for years now. I can't really say how long, but they've always been great. No reason to stop. Usually would get 2 at a time, but since the immediate family is pretty small these days, one is enough. When I feel like splurging...Honey Baked Han and Turkey Breasts for me. And for our pork loving friend SNAVBA...I'll have one of your sammiches please! We've cut back on the bacon. So sad. Doc's orders. Gotta watch all those bad things now. But last few checkups are fair. I might celebrate with a BLT Tonight!

  17. The company that makes the sealer ought to have options for non-slip treatments that can be added to the sealer. It’ll be designed to bond a little better than sand and can be clear. For example, Thompsons makes a micro bead additive like this: https://www.thompsonsweatherproofing.co.uk/flooring/patio-and-block-paving-anti-slip-additive/

  26. I certainly understand that. I figured I’d give everyone fair warning up front that they are a metal band in case someone heard a guitar string and missed out on hearing the lyrics. I don’t like most of it either, maybe because I’m old too. Shoot, I’m not a fan of most of the so-called music of today. I’ll just go ahead and say most of it is terrible. It ranges from poor excuse for singing to lyrics about how they can better serve satan. I’m including today’s “country (woke-ry) music” which is an even more horrible version of pop, and a huge disgrace to the actual good country singers of the good old days. I’m lookin at you Chris Ledoux, George Straight, Clint Black, Jennings, Cash, etc., etc. Some of the metal, however, I am a fan of. Like this band here. Sure they play guitars. But their songs are almost like history lessons, and their lyrics are clean, which is of utmost importance to me. So is vocal talent. A great many of these metal singers are classically trained vocalists. I would have just posted the lyrics without any mention of who they are, but this dude’s voice just seems to carry it over the top. I’m glad y’all enjoyed it. And, I’ll admit I wasn’t joking when I said I just about had to pull over when I heard it the first time.

  28. Mine comes from my old 1989 Toyota Tercel. One of the most reliable vehicles I know of. I had it from the time I was a teenager until well after I got married. It was one of Toyotas last engines that used a carburetor. I got 50 mpg in that car. It became a legend with my brother and I. We took it everywhere. It had 387,000 miles on it when some drunk crashed into it. I sure miss it. I'd take one of those Tercels in new condition over any sports or luxury car anyday. 387,000 miles , same factory clutch, did not burn nor leak oil, ran great.

  29. Pretty stoked with my gift to myself. It is somewhat of a boutique or novelty, however it shoots great. Zeroed/trued and chrono last week. About 2380FPS with 140g ELD match. Not terrible given the barrel length. Held sub MOA past 600 and I was hitting at 917m albeit semi consistently. However, with some more DOPE and time it should serve perfectly as my fun precision backpack gun. 12” 6.5CM deep spiral fluted barrel trigger tech diamond flat faced trigger Witt machine SME Atibal Stealth 5-35 FFP w/NF Ultramount

  30. Something to clarify, only the base Model 3 (RWD) and the Long Range have the new Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries. Since the batteries are not completely produced in the USA yet, they only get the $3,750 tax credit. Where the model 3 Performance gets the full $7500. Another thing is that Lithium Iron Phosphate chemistry produces much safer batteries. If I'm parking inside, I'd much rather have the LFP in the base model.

  32. You do still have the option of a sp101 4" model. 63 is a sound investment because i paid 450 for my first one years ago. You dig hard enough and you can probably find one for less than 800

  33. They are perfectly fine for a lot of people who don’t travel long distances daily. If you don’t own a home where you can put a charger I think it becomes less attractive. just had a discussion with some friends from Ohio this week. They charge $100 per year for EV’s.

  43. How the heck is anyone supposed to know your post count on AKfiles and reputation to make transactions on TGO. This a regional/state forum. Nothing like a big city guy coming to a small town to declare his importance. Tends to rub the small town guys the wrong way no matter how big the city was. You gotta earn your reputation where you're at not, where your from.

  44. Yeah, an "I'll take it" with a delay condition is not an I'll take it. It's "I'll take it" and most convenient that gets it. A weeks delay is a sellers discretion to agree to or not. The seller has the right to accept what is most convenient for him. An "I'll take it" does not give the buyer the ability to dictate the terms after the fact.
