  1. Been working on this for a while, finally got it to my liking. These are all AR500 steel and self healing(ish) rubber that I made from some stall mats.

  2. Well, I have officially moved up to gas. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about missing the ebike. It was just so easy to ride. Everyone that rode it, loved it. This 2021 CRF125 Big Wheel was ridden so little it still has the hairs on the front tire. Anyways, Does anyone have a suggestion for strapping this thing down? I don't see a good place to run a ratchet strap through the middle like I did on the Talaria.

  3. Getting out of AKs altogether, so here is my last one. This Bulgarian AK74 was built from a kit imported prior to the barrel ban so it has an original Bulgarian barrel. Rifle built by T.Mark Graham of Arizona Response Systems on a Nodak Spud receiver. That alone makes this a premium rifle. Rifle has been upgraded with a US Palm grip, extended charging handle and Ukrainian made flash hider. Will come with 10 Bulgarian, steel reinforced polymer mags and 1k rds of Red Army Standard 5.45x39 ammo and 100rds of Hornaday Black Vmax 5.45. $2200 I have an additional 3k of Red Army Standard 5.45x39 available to buyer of rifle @ $500 per case. Will be listed separately at $600 per case.

  10. I use the loop ends to make a slip knot around the forks down closer to the axle and do the same on the back around the swing arm. Some guys I know only tie down the front, but as narrow as that carrier is, I wouldn't trust it. The reason I don't use the handlebars is that you're compressing the suspension and relying on the shocks to provide stability. You can lose stiffness in the suspension and dump your bike pretty easy like that. Just my 2¢ worth. NICE BIKE, btw. you're gonna have a blast on that!

  11. This wouldn’t work for you because of the topper, but I always put mine in the bed with the front tire against the front of the bed, or usually the toolbox. Two straps from the handlebars to the strap hooks in the front corners of the bed was all it ever took. Never a problem. Once you’ve ridden this some, I’d be interested in hearing you compare it with the electric bike. I’ve owned a 125 CR, so I have that point of reference. I’ve no idea what the e bike feels like.

  13. It feels fairly secure right now. I'm using the pull tight straps you mentioned. I'd feel a little better if I added an additional strap somewhere. I think I might be able to get one across the swing arm but below the chain. I'll mess around with it tonight and see what I can come up with.

  14. Cool, i think that'll be fun to ride. You might find something in the rear subframe to hook a strap on. Not having passenger pegs takes away that easy spot to hook a strap.

  15. I have the same one and the Staccato C2, this one has much better price performance ratio. Very smooth, zero issue and precut for red dot. Highly recommended

  16. It's hard to pick favorites, but I have too much fun per dollar with my TX22. Cheap to buy and shoot, surprisingly great trigger, just works. My favorite purchase though is probably my Walther Model 7. Got a good deal on a pristine example, and I happen to be fond of pocket pistols and early 20th century firearms.

  17. Not sure how long he’s been there. I’ve stopped in there twice. First time about 6 months ago. Enjoyable visits , real friendly. Small place and not fancy. Thought hard about a nice CZ-27 pistol on the wall.

  18. That little stunt was long after my time there. Back 08/09 IIRC, It was my first time in there. Had heard all the tales about the place and just wanted to see it. Took my new Taurus 45SC in to try it out. Loved the pistol when I first saw it. Beautiful polished Stainless. 2" ported barrel. Gorgeous pistol. Also my first time with it and a 45 Long Colt round. Loaded that little pocket cannon and got set. Nice gentle squeeze on the trigger. Surprised me when it went off. Just like it's supposed to. Except for the massive explosion and echoe in that dungeon! And the recoil was tremendous! Ok..first shot. I'll do it again I think. Same result. Got the 3rd round down and I'm wanting to head home. This thing is too much! So I'm standing there with 2 rounds left and think that I must fire them out before leaving. Number was awful! Felt like the first three had joined in and tried to kill me! I determined I was going to finish. That last round was going downrange and into paper! I think I just stuck my arm out andtried not to jerk the trigger and make a bigger fool of myself. I failed. Didn't see a new hole in the target. Pulled the target in and saw it was hanging a bit loose on one side. Seems I sort of went off the paper with it. I'd hit part of the trolley mechanism instead. I called it a day and left. Never went back. I really disliked that place.

  20. When @BigKand i went there last, the right side of the place was shutdown because of all the shot-up support structure laying on the floor. Was that you @hipower?! Jokes aside, the guy working behind the counter said that the city owned the building and one day they just showed up and told the owner that they were replacing the support beams. They tore down the old ones, put up the new ones and then left the pile, closing their first lane in the door. When the owner asked when they were hauling it off... "not our job" was the answer. How messed up is that!?

  21. Sounds like some mighty good shootin' IIRC, this is the range where you have to agree to pay a fine if you shoot the corrugated plastic target hanger they provide. Then they hand it to you and it's already riddled with bullet holes, LOL.

  22. There are just some things that people need to do and drive is one of them and I mean 100% drive. You don't need vehicles that drive for you. I spoke with my insurance agent last month because my rate actually came down by $54.00 and she said because you have a vehicle that does not have any self driving abilities. She said people that buy these new cars with all the bells and whistles pay dearly for them in insurance.

  23. I stop in traffic with enough room to escape and try to avoid being in center lanes at traffic lights. I may want to hit what is in front of me in certain circumstances. I also do not want lane keep assistance. It's all old school driving technique and situational awareness, escape and evade. I will scew up ABS in a panic stop EVERY time and I've had ABS for years. Driving with assistance dulls the senses and allows one to lose focus. Not a bad thing for some but it's not for me.

  25. Does anyone actually think that this will prevent someone from doing something that's already illegal. Our Liberty is systematically disappearing. Our private medical records will also be on a data base that's accessible by groups of people that have no business whatsoever with it. Outrageous
    1 point
  26. And for some people, taking the meds is what makes them easy going, "regular" people, who are perfectly capable of owning and possessing a gun. In some cases, someone might just not take the meds anymore so they can own guns, which could result in their becoming unstable and doing something rash. Thereby, this law would cause the exact thing they think it will prevent.

  28. Look ... I honestly don't see much hope for a positive outcome here. Your expectations are unrealistic and the origin of your complaint seems to be a sense of entitlement. I'll be glad to refund your Benefactor status, delete any sale ads that you may have posted, and wish you a happy life somewhere else if you agree that there isn't much chance in TGO satisfying you.

  29. How the heck is anyone supposed to know your post count on AKfiles and reputation to make transactions on TGO. This a regional/state forum. Nothing like a big city guy coming to a small town to declare his importance. Tends to rub the small town guys the wrong way no matter how big the city was. You gotta earn your reputation where you're at not, where your from.

  30. I can appreciate it. Tennessee is a very long state. Happens to all of us. True, some more than others but I've had this happen to me quite a bit. I just understand, if things are in the Memphis area, Chattanooga, or Knoxville areas I'll probably miss out. I can offer but I understand the reality. And rarely, if ever will I ship. Just not worth the hassle and risk most if the time.

  33. TN Governor calls out NRA for wanting to use laws on the books instead of passing Red Flag. From the article: "Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee's administration accused the National Rifle Association of wanting to use involuntary commitment laws "to round up mentally ill people and deprive them of other liberties," according to documents drafted by the Republican's staffers as part of their initial attempt to pass a gun control proposal earlier this year. Tennessee laws that allow committing people without their permission if they pose "a substantial likelihood of serious harm" due to a "mental illness or serious emotional disturbance." "Not only is the NRA's proposal impractical — it would drastically expand the scope of government," one of the memos reads." Yeah, we had mental hospitals for those who needed treatment, and to keep those who were serious dangers to themselves or others off out streets, now they are the “homeless” and wander about panhandling and stealing to survive. Lets don’t use the laws on our books, just give more power to the 4th branch of government (LE) to determine how we live our lives. The current involuntary committal laws use medical professionals to determine who gets held as a danger, the governor’s plan is like the FBI taking people re Jan. 06, more power for his pet Departments. How about we take some of the half billion dollars we gave the Kneeling Titans for their new stadium and put it back to work opening up our closed mental hospitals? Lee is exactly what I thought he would be, second in the line of Haslam Democrats wearing an “R”. He has met with the "Tennessee Three" and is working with them to institute "common sense gun laws" in his "Official Oppression Special Session"!
